Citing a commentary does not even come close to winning an argument.......context alone settles it, and it does not teach the loss or forfeiture of salvation.......
Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary
10:26-31 The exhortations against apostacy and to perseverance, are urged by many strong reasons. The sin here mentioned is a total and final falling away, when men, with a full and fixed will and resolution, despise and reject Christ, the only Saviour; despise and resist the Spirit, the only Sanctifier; and despise and renounce the gospel, the only way of salvation, and the words of eternal life. Of this destruction God gives some notorious sinners, while on earth, a fearful foreboding in their consciences, with despair of being able to endure or to escape it. But what punishment can be sorer than to die without mercy? We answer, to die by mercy, by the mercy and grace which they have despised. How dreadful is the case, when not only the justice of God, but his abused grace and mercy call for vengeance! All this does not in the least mean that any souls who sorrow for sin will be shut out from mercy, or that any will be refused the benefit of Christ's sacrifice, who are willing to accept these blessings. Him that cometh unto Christ, he will in no wise cast out.

It beats arguing with you.

I agree, but will add.....the bible is replete with the saved that have every gambit of work...some good and righteous, some contrary and sinful....also the sanctification of the life and daily living is a process of growth and maturity which can be stunted and or haphazard based upon the amount of the word and type of teaching one gets....some may bear one apple, some an abundance...and yet an apple tree is an apple tree by birth from the moment it sprouts LONG before it produces one piece of fruit...also...it may bear little, a lot, or have years where it bears nothing due to "spiritual drought" and or may produce and slowly produce less as it ages and begins to die off.....and lest we forget....ALL who have been genuinely saved have already done the WORKS of the Heavenly FATHER...also....a cup of cold water alone will not go unnoticed and or unrewarded.....but to say that NONE will be saved until JESUS sees our works totally contradicts the bible.
ALL who have been genuinely saved have already done the WORKS of the Heavenly FATHER...

Is it the believers work to send the Son, or to believe?

Is it the Father who is supposed to believe or isn"t He the One a believer should believe in and the One whom He has sent?

What does that have to do with needing to have works to be saved when Jesus comes back?

WRONG thinking.

The evidence that works manifest, is NOT that we are saved, but that we truly LOVE the LORD, and THEREFORE the HOLY SPIRIT RESIDES IN US.

John 14:15 (HCSB)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] “If you love Me, you will keep My commands.

John 14:21 (HCSB)
[SUP]21 [/SUP] The one who has My commands and keeps them is the one who loves Me. And the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father. I also will love him and will reveal Myself to him.”

Were does that kind of LOVE from:

Romans 5:5-6 (HCSB)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] This hope will not disappoint ⌊us⌋, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
[SUP]6 [/SUP] For while we were still helpless, at the appointed moment, Christ died for the ungodly.

NOT FROM US!

Oh yeah, shouldn't believe somebody I haven't met... like you wise guys.:)

Doesn't the Bible say something like "by the mouths of 2 or 3 witnesses let every word be established?

Barnes' Notes on the Bible
For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth - If after we are converted and become true Christians we should apostatize, it would be impossible to be recovered again, for there would be no other sacrifice for sin; no way by which we could be saved. This passage, however, like Hebrews 6:4-6, has given rise to much difference of opinion. But that the above is the correct interpretation, seems evident to me from the following considerations:(1) It is the natural and obvious interpretation, such as would occur probably to ninety-nine readers in a hundred, if there were no theory to support, and no fear that it would conflict with some other doctrine.(2) it accords with the scope of the Epistle, which is, to keep those whom the apostle addressed from returning again to the Jewish religion, under the trials to which they were subjected.(3) it is in accordance with the fair meaning of the language - the words "after that we have received the knowledge of the truth," referring more naturally to true conversion than to any other state of mind.(4) the sentiment would not be correct if it referred to any but real Christians. It would not be true that one who had been somewhat enlightened, and who then sinned "wilfully," must look on fearfully to the judgment without a possibility of being saved. There are multitudes of cases where such persons are saved. They "wilfully" resist the Holy Spirit; they strive against him; they for a long time refuse to yield, but they are brought again to reflection, and are led to give their hearts to God.(5) it is true, and always will be true, that if a sincere Christian should apostatize he could never be converted again; see the notes on Hebrews 6:4-6. The reasons are obvious. He would have tried the only plan of salvation, and it would have failed. He would have embraced the Saviour, and there would not have been efficacy enough in his blood to keep him, and there would be no more powerful Saviour and no more efficacious blood of atonement. He would have renounced the Holy Spirit, and would have shown that his influences were not effectual to keep him, and there would be no other agent of greater power to renew and save him after he had apostatized. For these reasons it seems clear to me that this passage refers to true Christians, and that the doctrine here taught is, that if such an one should apostatize, he must look forward only to the terrors of the judgment, and to final condemnation.

I believe that makes 4 witnesses that agree with me so far.

And they're edmacated, too.

Many are asking, "Who can show us any good?" Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD.
You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound.

In the same way,
let your light shine before men,
that they may see your good deeds and
praise your Father in heaven
.

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets;

I have not come to abolish them but
to fulfill them."

Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law

Love does no harm to its neighbor.
Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness and self-control.

Against such things there is no law.

Praise the Lord, forever Amen.

Above all, my brothers, do not swear--not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. Let your "Yes" be yes, and your "No," no, or you will be condemned.

Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray.

Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise.

Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.

At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

I have never met anyone on this site, or have any direct knowledge of, does not mean they
are wrong or write.

Even better, known of us have met the Father, or seen Jesus in the flesh yet in faith we
believe their word. From your point, we should not have faith.

And a non-conformist, amen. Are you suggesting a conformist is better? Conforming to what?

So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things,
do you think you will escape God's judgment?

Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that
God's kindness leads you toward repentance?

But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart,
you are storing up wrath against yourself
for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.

God "will give to each person according to what he has done."

To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.

But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger

On the first day, Jonah started into the city. He proclaimed: "Forty more days and Nineveh will be overturned."
The Ninevites believed God. They declared a fast, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.
Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Benson Commentary
Hebrews 10:26-27. For, &c. — As if he had said, It concerns us to use all means to ensure our perseverance, because apostacy is so dangerous; if we— Any of us Christians; sin wilfully — By total apostacy from God; (see on Hebrews 6:4;) after we have received the knowledge of the truth — As it is in Jesus, namely, an experimental and practical knowledge thereof, so as to have been made free thereby from the guilt and power of sin; there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins — None but that which we obstinately reject. “As the apostle, in the former part of the epistle, had proved that the sacrifices of the law were all abolished, and that the only sacrifice for sin remaining was the sacrifice of Christ, it followed that apostates, who wilfully renounced the benefit of that sacrifice, had no sacrifice for sin whatever remaining to them.” But a certain fearful looking for Φοβερα δε τις εκδοχη, a kind of fearful expectation: intimating something inexpressible, such as no heart could conceive or tongue describe. Thus St. Peter, 1 Epist. 1 Peter 4:17-18, What shall be the end of them who obey not the gospel? Where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Of judgment and fiery indignation. The apostle refers both to the final judgment of the great day, when apostates from the religion of Jesus, as well as those who obstinately rejected it, shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, &c., 2 Thessalonians 1:9; and also to the dreadful and fiery indignation which God was about to bring on the unbelieving and obstinate Jews, in the total destruction of their city and temple by sword and fire, devouring them, as adversaries to God and his Christ, of all others the most inexcusable. The reader should observe that the apostle lays it down here as certain, that God will not pardon sinners without some sacrifice or satisfaction. For otherwise it would not follow, from there remaining to apostates no more sacrifice for sin, that there must remain to them a dreadful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation. In these last words, the conflagration of the heaven and the earth at the day of judgment seems especially to be referred to.

I believe the count is 2 now.
You can find 20, and I can find 20 that say the opposite.

Seeing the direction yer going, I can believe that.
Why because he is trusting in God and his promises, and not himself and his own power?

When will you let Go and give it all to God. And stop relying on yourself and all these men?

New International Version 1984 Mark 7:6-13 He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.’ You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men.” And he said to them: “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions! For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’ But you say that if a man says to his father or mother: ‘Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is Corban’ (that is, a gift devoted to God), then you no longer let him do anything for his father or mother. Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.”

Wrong again. :( your statement underlined below, removes the truth of justification and the imputed righteousness of Jesus which is
the central truth of the Gospel, being justified by faith in Jesus apart from works....... end of story!
Our lives show if we have been justified by faith in Jesus apart from works. No change of life indicates no justification by faith has occurred.

Dead faith can not save because it shows we have not been justified by faith apart from works.
