This statement is idiotic.....and that is putting it mildly......
“‘they will say to the mountains, “Fall on us!”
and to the hills, “Cover us!”’

31 For if people do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?”

Have you ever stopped for a moment and thought to ask the Lord for anything?
We were not called to do battle individually.
And if you Did" serve in the military you should remember the basics!

As i stated before,
The enemy wants a person to simply hide under a shield of Faith.

OZAZ - Once Zombied Always Zombied

If heaven was full of Zombies and God could make Zombies whenever and wherever
He likes, why have faith or a gospel?

If people who love God, but it turns to hate, are always Zombies, and God can just
switch a switch and they become loving Zombies, why do morals matter or behaviour,
because it is just Zombie programming that can be turned on or off.

This is what happens when the I goes out of salvation. Jesus puts the true I back
in our hearts, we are loved, we are accepted, we are forgiven so now we can chose
to walk and follow. He choses us and our hearts cry out Halleluyah.

And those who are called know of what I speak. To the rest it appears gobbledegook.

Universalism is founded on the idea God flips a switch and we have no role.
And in their defence the zombies turn the arguments around, as if this makes any
sense, but then what other choice do they have, and to be honest they have nothing else.
I agree bro. The apostle James saw it coming and being guided by the Holy Spirit wrote the ff: for the church to recognize these ZOMBIES pretending to be ALIVE but are just really WALKING DEAD.

James 2:14-26 Faith and Deeds What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder. You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend. You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

There is not a just man upon the earth that does good and sins not.

When that was penned....there were saved men on the earth....JESUS was right....He that is without sin cast the first stone....I can tell you that many who name JESUS would have been casting stones immediately in their self righteous condemnatory attitude......
2 Timothy 3:15-17 and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Romans 8:4-8 in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit. Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

Ne

1 John 1:6-7 If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Galatians 6:7-10 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

SEE folks........the simplicity in JESUS answers the questions I gave to ENDOSCOPY.....he refused to answer because the truth refutes ALL works based dogma. JAMES in CONTEXT does not teach a works based salvation....IT rightfully teaches that MEN can SEE the faith that saves US BY our WORKS....YET PAUL clearly teaches that a man is saved and justified in front of GOD BY FAITH WITHOUT WORKS.......
Romans 11:17-22 If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either. Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off.

Matthew 18:6-9 But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. “Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to sin! Such things must come, but woe to the man through whom they come! If your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.

New International Version 1984 1 Corinthians 5:11-13 But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked man from among you.”

Are you refuting or mocking? Sorry, both must be works and ZOMBIES hate to work. Can you just "say or claim" that God created Zombies for glory(sarcasm)
or you may just be honest for Christ's sake.

So the scripture is drivel. Wow What are you doing on a Christian site? Jesus said to see the fruits and you will know them. Why do you reject the words of Jesus on the fruits of faith and evil? This is what James was referring to!!! Why do you think it says sometings different?

Matthew 7

True and False Prophets
15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

If you will notice mate.....the difference is found below...

Group a....SAVED by faith and faith alone...any work or fruit is the result of the salvation and or faith one already possesses in Christ...and the saved may or may not produce based upon growth, maturity, the word, and will produce works of every flavor...some burnt to a crisp yet saved, some purified and brings glory to God

Group B....Saved by faith but topped off, maintained or embellished by works, deny the above bolded and some even ignorantly state that no one is saved until the end when their works are seen by Christ and or state that ONE is not saved if they HAVE NO WORKS<---while yanking JAMES out of context that is......

We have consistently said that ALL genuinely saved have already done the work of the HEAVENLY FATHER in belief.
Repent = feel or express sincere regret or remorse about one's wrongdoing or sin.

Mat_3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mat_4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mar_1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
Mar_6:12 And they went out, and preached that men should repent.
Luk_13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. 5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Luk_17:3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
Act_2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act_3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
Act_8:22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
Act_17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
Act_26:20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
Rev_3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Rev_3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Mat 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Mat 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
Mat 3:9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
Mat 3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Just because they claimed they were children of Abraham they still needed to surrender their hearts and we can do the same thing today and claim that we are children of Christ but not bring forth fruits that are true to our faith. We can be no different to the pharisees and Sadducee in our outward claims.

Faith and works go hand in hand with each other. It is Christ's righteousness that saves us and our faith in His grace. But to continue in sin that grace might abound is not real faith.

Jas 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Jas 1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
Jas 1:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

Imputed righteousness is justification that is freely given to us by faith but sanctification is imparted righteousness that is also given to us by faith and this requires actions, changes, surrender of self, and the Holy Spirit will do this if we are willing.
Glorification will happen when Jesus comes but the work of sanctification will come because of love for Jesus, through a surrender heart and justification comes because we repent and believe in what Jesus has done.

Rom 4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
Rom 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
1Th_4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
1Th_4:4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
2Th_2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

How were the levites purified as Holy
1. Washed
To purify them, do this: Sprinkle the water of cleansing on them; then have them shave their whole bodies and wash their clothes, and so purify themselves.
Numbers 8:7

2. Sacrifices for sin and praise
Wave offering and a sin offering.
So to be holy we are to be washed through the waters of baptism and anointing of the Holy Spirit and the word making us pure.

Our sins are purified through faith in the cross, and the sprinkling of the blood on our souls and consciences.

For many believers this is so removed from everyday life, they are not prepared to even accept God could ever
regard themselves as living a "Holy life", pure and blameless.

This is what the Lord is saying we are called to do and understand. Only if one has
the faith to believe the word of God could this be fulfilled in ones life.
First has to come faith, openness and acceptance of Christ and the cross.

Cleansing and purification are done by bringing each area of defilement to the
Lord and working through it.

One can be cleansed, but if one defiles this cleansing straight away, there is
no value in such a thing.

Join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life--not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.
2 Tim 8-9

For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.
1 Thessalonians 4:7

Just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do
for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy."
1 Peter 1:15-16

Unless these words speak to your heart and you are prepared to know your Father,
how can you know the difference between defilement and holiness?

This is a mystery that Christ, The almighty God can dwell within us.
Col 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Col 1:28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
Col 1:29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

Christ does the work, all good things come from God and if Christ dwells in you, you WILL have good works.
You can't have the Presence of Christ and not have the works.
Mat 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
Mat 6:23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
Mat 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Those who desire to know Jesus, to cleanse their souls, to walk in the Spirit and not
the passions of this world, know the meaning of impurity, defilments and the gifts
of the Holy Spirit and His cleansing.

Paul put it like this

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children
and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people.
Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.
For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person--such a man is an idolater--has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient.
Therefore do not be partners with them.
Ephesians 5:1-7

Now anyone who supports impurity or excuses it as irrelevant, is a deceiver.

no one is excusing impurity, or saying sin is no big deal. however, any one who says that they are 100% pure is a liar. and self-deceived.

you did not say that you think you are 100% pure. I hope you do not think so. no one is.

God calls us....

His sheep hear His voice

then by His grace through faith His sheep are born again of an incorruptible seed
(He who began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Christ)

those who do not accept the gift of eternal salvation through faith in the sacrifice of Jesus

never had it
never lost it

they put their faith in things like false gods
their own works
or nothing at all and focus on the world

some brothers argue over if they ever had the chance

but regardless

they did not have ears to hear

be it by His PERFECT will regardless of our opinion

or them hardening themself unto the point of a seared heart then being given over to a reprobate mind or self righteousness

i suggest anyone here take a moment to examine if you truely believe in what Jesus did for your salvation

or do you look to what you do?
bump for those who put their faith in themself

There is a foolishness being spoken here.

When you are cleansed and made Holy by God, you are cleansed and made Holy 100%

That is the whole point, else you are not cleansed or Holy.

Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life
Revelation 21:27

If God does not cleanse us 100% and make us clean, any impurity is worthy of the lake
of fire. Satan's argument about Job was that he was not really blameless, which is
exactly the same argument being put here.

"Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil."
"Does Job fear God for nothing?" Satan replied.
Job 1:9-10

The enemy will always try and cause doubt in Gods people and condemn them as
never being able to be acceptable, even after the cross, faith, repentance, confession
walking in love and obedience.

As Paul says, we do not know how to judge ourselves, but this is Gods judgement not
ours.

I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself.
My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me.
Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.
1 Corinthians 4:3-5

So our calling is to walk in what has been revealed and trust God to empower us in the
things of Him. It appears those without faith to believe in Gods cleansing would want
to throw condemnation on others as if this has value other than doing the enemies work.
