Keep bloviating......you do realize you're arguing for the following by making this ignorant stand against those who have been combating the following lies and deceit for years now in this thread and on this site....NICE to see your true colors and who you really identify with.

The cross is not enough
The imputed righteousness of Christ is a neat little trick that does not work
Christ does not keep his promises
Christ is too weak to keep us saved or finish what he started
We need to help God do what he said he would do
etc...
Psalm 31:18 Let their lying lips be silenced, for with pride and contempt they speak arrogantly against the righteous.

If you think speaking against the following makes me prideful, a liar or arrogant......I will gladly wear it and if you do think that....it just proves how ignorant you really are concerning the word of God

That is what Ephesians 2 states........but before we jump the gun....

A. All who have exercised faith have done the works of the Heavenly Father according to JESUS
b. The saved may or may not produce fruit and it will be based upon what ground the word has been sown in
c. The saved will have every flavor of work to be found....some good, some not so good
d. Regardless of the above...works do not save, keep saved, finish off salvation or embellish salvation in any way, shape or form.
e. Salvation is based entirely upon faith, it is eternal, cannot be lost or forfeit and is based upon the promises, power, faith, strength, and work of Christ.
OK, can I say this: We are saved unto good works, which would in a sense be a sign that we are really saved, but more over once we are saved and we can be assured heaven, it is our works that establish our reward in heaven (Revelations 20:12)?

We should not believe you when you make up your own meanings of words.

Hint: REPENT does NOT mean follow. Here is the TRUE definition of the word "repent":

3340. metanoeó

Strong's Concordance

metanoeó: to change one's mind or purpose

Original Word: μετανοέω

Part of Speech: Verb

Transliteration: metanoeó

Phonetic Spelling: (met-an-o-eh'-o)

Short Definition:
I repent, change my mind

Definition: I repent, change my mind, change the inner man (particularly with reference to acceptance of the will of God), repent.

HELPS Word-studies

[SUB]3340 metanoéō (from 3326/metá, "changed after being with" and 3539 /noiéō, "think") – properly, "think differently after," "after a change of mind"; to repent (literally, "think differently afterwards").[/SUB]

Now Magenta you are full of color but how does any of the above disagree with any of the scriptures I have sent to you?

Are you saying that repent does not mean to turn away from SIN?

Where does SIN start?

Matthew 7
17,
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
18, For truly I say to you, Till heaven and earth pass, one stroke or one pronunciation mark shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
9, Whoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20, For I say to you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
21, You have heard that it was said of them of old time, You shall not kill; and whoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
22, But I say to you, That whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whoever shall say, You fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
23, Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has ought against you;
24, Leave there your gift before the altar, and go your way; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
25, Agree with your adversary quickly, whiles you are in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be cast into prison.
26, Truly I say to you, You shall by no means come out there, till you have paid the uttermost farthing.
27, You have heard that it was said by them of old time, You shall not commit adultery:
28, But I say to you, That whoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

SIN originates in the MIND, throughts and feelings. Of Course REPENT means a change of MIND. If you do not have a change of MIND how can you have a change in action?

You indeed make up things in order to Follow your traditions that break the Commandments of GOD.

If your FAITH does not have the FRUIT of OBEDIENCE then you are still in your SINS because you have rejected the GIFT of God's dear Son (James 2:18; 20; 26; Matt 7:12-23; Romans 6:23)

If your tree has no FRUIT then it is cast down and thrown into the FIRE (Matthew 7:12-23).

SIN is the breaking of God's LAW (James 2:10-11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20).

All who CONTINUE in KNOWN SIN will not enter into God's KINGDOM and do not KNOW him who calls us in LOVE to LOVE another (1 John 2:3-4; 1 John 3:3-15)

He who God sends speaks the Words of God. Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it. Unbelivers will not enter into God's KINGDOM or those who practice SIN.

...............

Just like breaking any of the other 10 Commandments; God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

You did get it wrong....it is saving faith, being born from above as in saved that places one in the Kingdom of God....wake up...we are paid wages (misthos<-reward) for services rendered....the services rendered do not earn a place in the kingdom....MANY think this and will attempt this path ONLY TO BE CAST from his presence......

it pleased god by the foolishness of preaching to save them that BELIEVE <-NO WORKS TO BE SAVED-->SAVED UNTO not BY!

It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that BELIEVE.

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy has he SAVED US (past tense)

Trust JESUS...believe the gospel of salvation.....it is based entirely upon faith with NO STRINGS attached, regardless of those who attempt to embellish it or top it off with works and some sort of sinless perfectionism.

ElAmor

What do you mean by "exercise" isn't it to practice and not just say and claim or just a lip service? Do you preach about a genuine saving Faith without doing anything? Is preaching not a work? Assuming that Faith alone saves, can a person have Faith and be saved without someone preaching to them the Gospel of salvation?

If you are a preacher, can you say that you are not doing a work? If it is so then what are you doing? Is preaching the Gospel of our salvation irrelevant or unnecessary to our salvation? Does it embellish or add anything to your Faith ALONE doctrine?

dcon’s reply;

Take 1 second and actually think about and ponder what this thread is about.....serious.....it is about HOW ONE IS SAVED not WHAT THEY DO AFTER THEY ARE SAVED.....it IS FAITH ALONE THAT SAVES.....end of story........!

ElAmor

If “ Faith ALONE" saves, can one have faith without hearing the message? The verses below proves that a work is needed and essential to salvation….PREACHING.

It is not of ourselves that we may not boast.( ephesians 2:8-9 ) A Faith that works in Love.( galatians 5:6 ) A “selfless LOVE" that thinks about the welfare and SALVATION OF OTHERS and not just his own interests.( philippians 2:3-4, 1 john 3:16-18 )

Romans 10:14-17 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And HOW CAN THEY HEAR WITHOUT SOMEONE PREACHING TO THEM? And how can they preach UNLESS THEY ARE SENT? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?” Consequently, FAITH COMES FROM HEARING THE MESSAGE, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.

2 John 1:4-11 It has given me great joy to find some of your children WALKING IN THE TRUTH, just as the Father COMMANDED US. And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had FROM THE BEGINNING. I ask that we love one another. And this is love: that we WALK IN OBEDIENCE TO HIS COMMANDS. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you WALK IN LOVE. Many DECEIVERS, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as COMING IN THE FLESH, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the DECEIVER and the ANTICHRIST. Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. Anyone who RUNS AHEAD and DOES NOT CONTINUE in the TEACHING OF CHRIST does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him. Anyone who welcomes him SHARES IN HIS WICKED WORK.

Who are those RUNNING AHEAD and DOES NOT CONTINUE IN THE TEACHING OF CHRIST?

They are those who CLAIM SALVATION is by Faith ALONE and ONCE SAVED they are ALWAYS SAVED therefore rejecting God’s Laws and commands which are in fact God’s own words, who says that even obedience to God cannot save anyone because they are works and Faith ALONE saves.

Who then is the deceiver and the ANTICHRIST?

They are those who do not continue in the teaching about WALKING IN LOVE which is WALKING IN OBEDIENCE TO HIS COMMANDS. Who do not acknowledge Jesus as coming in the flesh by the mere fact that they reject the LAW that prophesied about Jesus as coming in the flesh.

1 John 2:1-6 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. THE MAN WHO SAYS, “I KNOW HIM,” BUT DOES NOT DO WHAT HE COMMANDS IS A LIAR, AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN HIM. But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him MUST WALK AS JESUS DID.

Either Jesus paid for sin or he did not....my bible states clearly that by faith my sins are nailed to the cross in Christ and his righteousness without the law is put to my account.....it also states that God takes our sin, seals it up in a bag and removes it (JOB) it also states that our sins are placed as far as the East is from the West and he remembers them no more...the bible also states that when I see the blood I will pass over you.

No my Australian friend....My sins are no longer held against me in condemnation, and I have been placed IN CHRIST....I suggest a study of the Greek word translated IN.....

After one is born again from above by INCORRUPTIBLE SEED they are no longer CONDEMNED for their sin, but rather are dealt with as children and chastised when out of line.
Jesus did indeed pay the price for our SINS but not so we can CONTINUE in SIN. Those that CONTINUE IN SIN count the blood of the covenant an unholy thing and openly put Christ to shame.

SIN is the transgression of God's LAW (1 John 3:4; Romans 7:7; 3:20; James 2:8-12). Those wos CONTINUE IN SIN do not KNOW him who calls them in LOVE to LOVE another.

Many will come to him on that day saying; Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work SIN (iniquity) (Matthew 7:21-23)

They had a form of Godliness but denied God's power of salvation from SIN (1 Tim 3:1-5) and did not KNOW him

Well that is not true my colorful one. I shared God's Word with you. You chose not to BELIEVE it. What have I said in my posts that is not God's WORD? If you choose to believe God's Word of not I do not judge you because Jesus says...

John 12
46,
I am come a light into the world, that whoever believes on me should not abide in darkness.
47, And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
48, He that rejects me, and receives not my words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW him who calls us in LOVE to LOVE another.

SIN will keep all who practice it OUT of God's KINGDOM.

there is much wrong with what you just said....

those He never knew

were never saved to begin with

read the whole verse please

right after youre warned of knowing them by their fruit

they start boasting of their works

and He NEVER knew them

they were not born again

and anyone without the imputed righteousness of Jesus will be judged for their sin

(iniquity)

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

(that we believe on Him the Father sent)

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

before we go any further

Do you understand what the term children of God means, Do you also understand it does not matter what age you are in human terms, you are still calld a child (kid) of God.

My daughter is 32, my other one will turn 30 years this year, I still call them my kids.

If you now understand this, Can you go back, reread what I posted. and try to make a response which is not derogatory? or is this above your ability?
Now I see what you were trying to say. But the point you missed, since you apparently did not read my post is that Jesus was actually in a few instances in the sermon on the mount did in fact tell people that if they did not do this of if they did that, they would go to heaven or hel. So reread and you will understand.

If you think speaking against the following makes me prideful, a liar or arrogant......I will gladly wear it and if you do think that....it just proves how ignorant you really are concerning the word of God

The cross is not enough
The imputed righteousness of Christ is a neat little trick that does not work
Christ does not keep his promises
Christ is too weak to keep us saved or finish what he started
We need to help God do what he said he would do
New International Version 1984 Proverbs 8:12-14 “I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence; I possess knowledge and discretion. To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech. Counsel and sound judgment are mine; I have understanding and power.
