Your error is REQUIRES. A new human born again spirit, WILL HAVE A NEW NATURE. That NEW NATURE is that WE WILL WANT TO DO WHAT PLEASES OUR LORD, and NEVER IS IT REQUIRED TO DO.
Thank you VCO

as an illustration, what must a physical baby do to be physically born? nothing, the decision is up to parents, in the same way. We were dead in trespasses and sin, if a blind guide leads a blind guide, both will fall into a pit, and Jesus must draw us closer to him.

Thank you for your post, "what must a physical baby do to be physically born? nothing," Exactly.

Ephesians2:4,5

4) But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us,
5) even though we were dead in offenses, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you are saved!

1Peter1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he gave us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

So you do not see "obedience" as being a work, okay I'm done thanks for the conversation.
Is confessing Jesus as Lord a work?

You must have trouble reading.

You go ahead and keep teaching people it’s ok to disobey the Gospel.

  • on those who do not obey the gospel

in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9

Do you believe those who are "punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord", are saved?

It's a command.

That's why it's called a commandment.

37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40

If it was an option, then it would be called the first and great "option".

Yes I understand obey, you may stop your gloating now if you please it is a sin. To say I teach people to disobey the gospel is a complete lie such as is your fake gospel. You are breaking God's commandment.

Let's see, I'm teaching people that we need to obey the Gospel, and you call it fake.

So which is it, we are to obey the Gospel, or disobey the Gospel?

You do love to twist peoples words and the gospel, try being honest for once in your life.

all have fallen short of God's glory (Romans 3:23)
even our good deeds are like filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6)
Proverbs 12:10 - even the kindest act of man is cruel

Only those who obey the Gospel will be saved.

The more you continue to lie and twist the scriptures, the more your self deception will grow.

Please just repent and submit yourself to God, which means to humble yourself and obey Him.

obedience is just evidence of salvation empowered by God's help, at the end of the day as long as God says "well done my faithful servant", that should be good

or is there a particular order on how things should be done?

Hi BillG, not to worry my friend in heaven we will have a unified Church.

PS is promoting a works gospel or you will "lose your eternal salvation." a counterfeit gospel.

Romans6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the "gift" of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

You cannot work for a "gift" or it is no longer a gift.
How dare you say that. Nothing could be further from the truth. The Gospel is about the love of God for the human race.

Read here, and then apologise for accusing me of something I am not.

I believe you're on the right track, many folks here say you must obey God before you can be saved. The Bible says we are born dead in our sins so how can a spiritually dead person be obedient. I think you got it right saying that obedience is the evidence of salvation. When a person is saved, only then can the Holy Spirit work in them so they become obedient

When the bible is silent about an issue; like the 5 virgins without oil, then we should be silent; this is "Rules of interpretation 101." Do not try to make the bible say something that it is not, you are barking up the wrong tree.
Here is your critical mistake; "Obviously salvation CAN be lost." This is a lie from the devil.

A true born again believer cannot lose their, "Eternal Salvation" because the bible say's so, read your bible.
You need to "unlearn" this garbage theology whoever taught you in the first place, it is wrong.

John10:28
I give them eternal life, "and they shall never perish"; no one will snatch them out of my hand.

True Gospel Folks
Follow your own rule. The Bible does not say the oil in their lamps was the Holy Spirit. It tells us they went out to buy the oil. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. (Mat 25:10 KJV)

You cannot buy the Holy Spirit! for crying out loud. And because they were not ready the door was shut. They were shut out of heaven. They were Shut Out.
