Got to say, in all honesty, nothing has changed from our interactions over the weeks I have
been here. Everything is sickening.
There is no compromise on the essential doctrine of the OP .... salvation is apart from works, by grace through faith alone and therefore is a permanent decree made by God.

If you argue against this foundational truth, of course you will be challenged, why would you expect otherwise?

You have a false expectation that we will become so enlighted by all your rhetoric that we will come to see how wrong we have been BUT....... when this does not happen you become sickened by our lack of compromise, right?

I read the rules and they didnt say you cant create a new nick.
So the mods say you are banned for a year or a lifetime, meaning you as a person are not allowed in this roo for that long

And its ok to skirt the rules. Hide and make a new nic and come in??

Sorry bro. Thats sin..

flowery speeches - brutal. You are so no nonsense, a true man.
Facts, me know facts, get me facts, thats me, no one allowed near me, forbidden territory.

I trusted a guy, and they betrayed me, keep away, not going to be anyone elses fool from now on.....
In the way you've constructed this post, I'm having difficulty telling whether the bold is coming from you, or whether you are saying this is something "Budman" would say. Care to clarify?

I know many of us can relate to such a thing. It's especially painful when someone you trusted twists your words (to be meaning something entirely other than what was intended).

I think this is also why we read of Jesus' own description by the writer of Hebrews, in Hebrews 4:15.

And thats what im saying. Not sure if you can "sin" by disobeying some rules on a forum. BUT lets assume the verse in Peter applies to forums as well, the one where it says obey all ordinances of man etc:

Isnt the whole gimmick here that everyone is a sinner, everyone sins daily in thought word and deed?

Thats why im saying: Why is it a big deal to you guys that its a sin, when you also at the same time say everyone is sinning daily? Its just one sin amongst the many. What about second chances and stuff?
What happened to "he who is without sin cast the first stone"? I cant remember who it was, but wasnt it you who said that about that pastor who lived in adultery and his congregation wasnt having it? What happened to that gimmick?

How far are you willing to go with this line of reasoning?

I was just reflecting back Budmans ideas.
I am only here to share, if you reject and I have nothing else, time to move on.
I like seeing the response, it tells me more about what I have missed.
Good hearts I click with very quickly, but it seems not here.
And so many sites are so slow, so this keeps ideas flowing.
No surprise in real life a lot of this would not happen, and we would not
meet. There is a need but this is too open and random......
Also in real life so much wasted effort .....

Not very because I dont use the "we all sin" gimmick.

Im just pointing out the duoble standard.
It is only one issue.

I do not see a double standard, EG, Budman, dcon, have not been banned and come back pretending to be someone else.
Nor do they preach the attainment of holiness for salvation and say they do not sin.

We cannot have people falling for this false teaching.

I wont say a word about it again. Was just pointing out what about giving a second chance. in light of the we all sin

Do you now understand that the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in Old Testament times was selective and temporary, but in New Testament times, the Holy Spirit only indwells believers and that indwelling is permanent?
No, he does not understand that.......amongst many other truths he does not understand I might add

Why do people REQUIRE Eternal Security

1. It is the only way one can have rest
2. According to John, It is the root, or basis of our faith in Christ (he wrote these things so we can KNOW we have eternal life)
3. It is the ONLY way in which we can see pain, suffeirng and tribulation as a momentary light affliction, If our eternal destiny is not ASSURED or SECURE. why are we willing to suffer so many things and consider even the most painful to be momentary? even death has lost its sting, as to be absent is to be present (paul)
4. It is the ONLY means of true growth. We are going to suffer growing pains, we will suffer our bessetting sins which we struggle with. If we have to go around trying to HIDE these sins, because we are afraid, or have to live like we are under a microscope and if we do not mature a certain way in a certain time, we will either live in fear, or live in denial both of which will stunt our growth. And has turned many of us to walk away (why bother) or turn into angry judgmental fools who do nothing but puff self up while judging others.
5. It allows us to see who God is (an abba father) not who satan wants us to see (an evil dictator)
6. It allows us to work and do good works out of humility and gratitude, not out of a sence of duty and pride
7. It empowers us to have true victory over sin,
8. It allows us to see sin as sin, And not hide many sins or defend them as just mistakes or oopsies. It prevents us from watering down the law. and forces us to fess up and acknowledge all sin we see, Because as a true child, we KNOW our fathers love, And although we know we will be chastened, We know our father does it out of love, not out of anger.

these are but just a few.. Feel free to add to this list any that I have left out..
Amen.....exactly what the bible teaches.....no hope or rest in a self sustained losable salvation......nor in a working for salvation........Jesus proves this by the MANY WILL COME BEFORE ME IN THAT DAY SAYING......the exact same dogma peddled by at least three or four in this very thread....

# 8 is the key to understanding how works salvationist think and what they do.

they change the meaning of sin, so that they think they do not commit very much, if at all,

a few days ago, I gave peter the greek word for sin, which is used 170 something times in the N.T., and basic definition of it.

has he did any research on it? has he even thought about anymore ? no, no, no!!

why? because workers do not care about truth, they only care about re-enforcing their" righteous" ways, and ignore any Scripture, definitions or context that messes with their controlled reality.
Amen......tooth and nail they reject the truth and like the Pharisees, in anger, bite plugs of flesh out of Stephen while preparing to stone the purveyor's of truth

The word preserved forever does not speak to them, because they can;t see those words.

How can one be preserved FOREVER, if at any time, that preservation is lost.

They also can not see. It is not the people who preserve themselved, it is GOD who preserves them

Something baout the power of God to change people must scare them. Thats all I can think of why they keep ignoring the obvious
When one refuses to open their eyes to the truth, they will positionally remain in both ignorance and darkness.....Religion that binds is akin to addiction.......and exactly why Jesus identifies them as two fold the children of hell........it is hard enough for a man to get over being lost and much harder when not only blinded by disbelief, but also adding the blinders of a false religion.......

My point was that God's faithful one's/godly one's/saints are preserved forever. Of course these are not unbelievers and their sins have been washed in the blood of Christ. Who mentioned anything about universalism? o_O
Just another twist hey.....they absolutely cannot acknowledge the truth hey.......
