FOLKS.....the following is a false statement made by one that is false and has no scriptural honesty or integrity when it comes to the word of GOD....the bible is clear and the MOTIVE behind GOD reconciling humanity unto himself is LOVE.....

Noose said:
Love is not a motive, never will it be. If love was only a motive then Christ would not have died for us.
Love is not a motive is like saying I didn’t mean to kill that person, I only wanted to shoot them in the head.

It bums me out how some people either take scripture out of context or push the Bible away completely. 2 Timothy 4 is quite often on display.

The biggest thing I flat disagree with is the loss of salvation.......and IMO....anyone that believes that by default believes in a self maintained salvation.....and a self maintained salvation can only be kept by works because....JESUS was clear....

(A) HE begins the work of faith in us and promises to COMPLETE the work of faith in us.

IF we for one micro second believe that WE have to maintain faith or lose it....we by DEFAULT say that JESUS is lying when it is stated clearly that HE WILL FINISH the work of faith he begins in us

also......written unto saved, scripturally immersed believers.....

IF we become faithless, HE ABIDES faithful because HE cannot deny himself <----REFERENCE (A) above

NO ONE will ever convince me that we can lose salvation........JESUS promises to NEVER leave us or FORSAKE US....WE ARE saved to the uttermost and KEPT BY HIS POWER through faith (reference (A) above) and he states clearly that he will LOSE NOTHING but raise it up the last day.

WE may have the fire whipped out of us (chastened) and may even forfeit PHYSICAL life and or lose REWARDS, but our salvation is SECURE because it it the SPIRIT that has been born again from above by the INCORRUPTIBLE SEED and by the IRREVOCABLE gift of eternal life.
Ok my friend,we must agree to simply disagree on this point! Yes He nor His word EVER fails,IT IS WE THAT DO! However you are free to believe if you do once saved always saved! I and or you are the only ones( with the exception of God) that truly knows how our heart is and how we walk before Him! I am no one's judge but I would like to see some of all others views in other threads not just the salvation and works ones. I would like to know the ppl that plan to go to heaven,as that is my destination!. We can start our fellowship down here on earth! I truly love ppl and to engage with them but the way must be open two way of listening and speaking. All must be done in respect and LOVE! Blessings🌞🌞🌞

two cannot walk together unless agreed and there is such a thing as absolute truth.....the bible is clear on salvation.....it is rather tragic in my view that people actually believe that JESUS, the GOD of heaven can save a man at his worst and then not keep him saved....I want no part with a weak ineffectual god that cannot keep his word and maintain our salvation by his power through the faith that he started and then states will COMPLETE in us.......

IMV to say salvation can be lost = calling God a liar..

Love is never about self but the other person. Love that remains within self as a motive is called pride. Love is about others, what do they say and feel about you when you interact with them- they will never interact with your motives.
There are good motives, so I think you are wrong on this.
You are assuming all motivation it bad.

Example:
If a child is running a high fever all night we are motivated by our love to stay up all night to care for them.

Staying up all night counts, it is how you show your motivation, otherwise you can still claim motivation and sleep.

This does not make sense to me, nor do I really understand the argument/discussion, and so I cannot discuss what I do not understand.

I also want to say, I could have all the devotion and love of a multitude of people, it would does not even touch the joy to knowing and taking a stand with God on this Truth.

it's never about God NOT KEEPING HIS WORD, it's about US not keeping our 'commitment to HIM...
1JOHN 1:9.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
PSA. 51:11.
Cast me not away from Thy presence; and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me.
ACTS 13:22.
And when He had removed him, He raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also He gave testimony,
and said,
I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own Heart, which shall fulfil all My will.

He might be vexed, because some of us do not believe that 1 John 2.19 is written to give us permission to use that verse as a bully billy club to to claim someone who they thought was saved was never, ever really saved to begin with......

I believe personally, it is spiritually, emotionally and intellectually dishonest of any saint to use 1 John 2.19 apologetically as a proof test of salvation or no salvation...I say this because the context of 1 John 2.19 having anything to do with who is saved or not saved, salvation, losing salvation and salvation in general simply is not there....

I say this same thing about 1 John 4.1-4...Please do not get on a prayer line or altar counseling and ask someone if they believe Jesus came in the flesh as a test to see if they are demonized or not...

I view 1 John 2.19 and most of 1 John as a warning letter, teaching me how to discern against false teachers with a spirit of antichrist....and most of it it tells me that those such people are not believers and are never going to be believers and has zero to do with testing salvation of people...

That is why I fight people on 1 John 2.19...I have seen first hand how many people have been broken by someone claiming they were never really saved to begin with.....and use that verse to justify their judgement....not discernment...big difference in the two...

Where on GOD's green earth did you get the idea that we consider 1 John 2:19 is our proof text of whether or not they were REALLY SAVED.

Here is the real Proof Text:

Matthew 7:16-20 (HCSB)
16 You’ll recognize them by their fruit. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes or figs from thistles?
17 In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, but a bad tree produces bad fruit.
18 A good tree can’t produce bad fruit; neither can a bad tree produce good fruit.
19 Every tree that doesn’t produce good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 So you’ll recognize them by their fruit.

That is after you have given the new born sprout enough time to PRODUCE FRUIT.
And here is the Spiritual FRUIT or Lifestyle Characteristics you look for:

Galatians 5:22-23 (HCSB)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,
23 gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Another tell tail Lifestyle Characteristic, is a divisive lifestyle, or addicted to arguing.

Titus 3:9-11 (HCSB)
9 But avoid foolish debates, genealogies, quarrels, and disputes about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.
10 Reject a divisive person after a first and second warning,
11 knowing that such a person is perverted and sins, being self-condemned.

I am not talking about a one time sin, a Lifestyle of acting the opposite of the good spiritual FRUIT, I just described; after you have giving the new born human spirit the time to Produce Fruit.

Now the BAD FRUIT is OBVIOUS:

Galatians 5:19-21 (HCSB)
19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity,
20 idolatry, sorcery [sorcerers were the drug deals of that day, calling the drugs, magic potions], hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions,
21 envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar. I tell you about these things in advance—as I told you before—that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Notice, I used bold type for the most frequent BAD FRUIT, those are lifestyle characteristics, we have seen here in the past.

Matthew 7:17-20 (HCSB)
17 In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, but a bad tree produces bad fruit.
18 A good tree can’t produce bad fruit; neither can a bad tree produce good fruit.
19 Every tree that doesn’t produce good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Matthew 7:20 (HCSB)
20 So you’ll recognize them by their fruit.

I have no problem standing on the word of God and the promises found therein.......and the exact opposite is just as valid.....I tried with you as well......one of us is right and one of us is wrong and make no mistake.....there are eternal consequences to bear........
