Its not confusing if you read the whole exchange between Mac and I.

I was trying to show Mac that the spirit CAN NOT die. Mac is the one saying that our spirits can die, not me.
I did not say our spirits die. Unsaved is spiritually dead while they live. Saved are raised to spiritual life. This is Bible 101.

Lightskin and Undergrace, you don’t know that regeneration is the act of God raising a spiritually dead person to spiritual life? 😮

Ephesians 2:1-6?!!!!

I am stunned by some of the things I read and see here, I really am.

I was wondering..... Okay, that explains it, I tried to read it but my eyes started to glaze over o_O so I gave up.
It explains nothing. Spiritual death is being unsaved and not knowing Jesus.

Being saved is being raised to spiritual life.

This is called regeneration.

No wonder people don't understand my posts, if you don't believe in regeneration as it is taught in the Bible.

How's about actually READING a post before you make comments. :)
I NEVER SAID the spirit dies.
Comments like this makes me wonder if anybody actually reads anybody else's posts.

First off your definition of born again and the bibles definition of born again are two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT entities.

My SALVATION experience.
I was brought up in church but became an atheist around the age of 18 and remained one until I was 32 years old. I didn't believe in God and didn't want to know anything about God or Christianity. Then one day when I was doing some work at a Pentecostal preachers house, the preacher began giving me his testimony, of which I had no interest in whatsoever, I was just being polite.

Then the next thing I knew, I was down on my knees crying like a baby and receiving Jesus as my savior. And my life has never been the same since. I started back going to church and reading the NIV bible which I got nothing out of.... kind of like some of the people I run across on this site. During that time of going to church, every church I ever went to kept saying that my bible was not perfect and that it had errors. This didn't sit well with me because EVERYTHING we know about God comes from the scripture.

At some point during that time, I was exposed to the KJV vs. Modern translation debate. So I decided to try the KJV. It was hard to read at first but after a few months is pretty easy to read. After reading it for a year or so, it's was like scales were being removed from my eyes and the meaning of scripture was flying off the page into my mind. I was hooked from that moment on.

My BORN AGAIN experience.
After a couple of years of reading the KJV, my view of Christ and the bible began to change. A NEW CHRIST was formed in me, A Christ that came from the incorruptible word of God. That's when I began to SEE the kingdom of God, not only in scripture but also in the world around me. This also the time that I entered into that kingdom that comes without observance, that's when I truly became free.... That's when I was born again of incorruptible seed.

So no VCO, I don't need for you to tell me how to get saved or how to become born again, I am both already.

THANK YOU FOR THAT TESTIMONY. I am now convinced that you are born again, but you have some strange terminology. For instance: you sad A NEW CHRIST was formed in me , and that is something NONE OF US WOULD EVER SAY. The reason is there is ONLY ONE REAL JESUS CHRIST, and all the rest are Counterfeits. If you mean the HOLY SPIRIT birthed a new born again Human Spirit in you, that is the CORRECT TERM. So, you are probably going to have to EXPLAIN you Terms, because you have several UNIQUE Terms that ONLY YOU will be able to understand. Because your TERMINOLOGY was so Strange, I was not sure if you were Born Again.

My Testimony is similar to yours, only it Happened after my 3rd attempt at SUICIDE in a week. I will keep this short, if you want to know more about the details, just ask.

My wife of only six months, on Christmas Eve 1977 no less, demanded a Divorce, because she said I couldn't earn enough money to buy her what she wanted in life. I was working full time at the Post Office and it was not good enough for her. I hit bottom very hard, and the following week I attempted suicide 3 times. The fire 2 times I had a Pistol against my temple, with the trigger half pulled. I had played Church all my life, and daydreamed threw almost every sermon. I did not care if I hurt my parents, my brother or sister, I just did not want to see another DAY, and cease to exist. With that trigger half pulled, TERROR CAME OVER ME, way more than a murderer with a knife to my throat could ever put into me, and I dropped the Pistol. The first attempt it landed on the bed, the next night it hit the floor, and I DO NOT KNOW HOW IT DID NOT GO OFF. Two night later I tried again, in a different way. I saw a road crew pouring very loose gravel on a dirt road, west of my house. I sat at a bar getting as DRUNK as I could, thinking I could end it all, by creating a fatal Motorcylce accident on that LOOSE GRAVEL. I am ashamed that I TEMPTED the LORD in this manor. I hit the Loose Gravel full throttle, looking up to the sky, and even said, "If you want me, You can take me anywhere on this mile You want." I mean full throttle, on VERY LOOSE GRAVEL, and the whole mile it was like I was riding on PAVEMENT.

I went home, still very DRUNK, and sat up thinking about what had just happened. About 4:30, I decided I need to go to bed, and as I walked into the bedroom, A THOUGHT POPPED INTO MY HEAD. I cannot ride a bike like that even sober, and I was Drunk. GOD must have reached down and Grabbed my BIKE and apparently said, "NO YOU DON'T I HAVE A PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE." INSTANTLY Wave after Wave of extreme grief came OVER ME, for my whole LIFESTYLE. I fell to my knees and later I went prone face down, CRYING LIKE A BABY, AND PLEADING FOR FORGIVENESS, OVER AND OVER AGAIN, FOR ALMOST 2 HOURS.

I believe that HOLY SPIRIT gave me a PRAYER in my EXTREME GRIEF. Never had I heard a prayer like this in the Lutheran Church that I grew up in. And NO ONE had ever taught this Prayer to me. I PRAYED: "Lord, if You have a purpose for my life, You are going to have to come into my LIFE and Run my life, I cannot DO IT. I am making a TOTAL MESS OF MY LIFE."

I KNEW I LOVED HIM FROM THAT DAY ON. I meant that Prayer with my WHOLE BEING, AND HE GAVE ME CONFIDENCE HE WAS GOING TO DO SOMETHING IN MY LIFE, and the AMAZING THING, is HE GAVE ME PATIENCE beyond the what is normal. He lead me to several outstanding BIBLE teachers, and I had the kind of night job in the P.O. where I could listen to BIBLE TEACHING TAPES, and usually listened to 4 hours of Bible Teaching a night. Almost 10 years later, HE PUT IT ON MY HEART, "IT IS FINISHED, TIME TO MOVE." I knew exactly what he meant, time to move out of Nebraska. A few years before, he had brought a godly woman into my life. And threw a whole series of minor miracles, we ended up in California, HE KEEP OPENING THE DOORS for Volunteer Ministry, while I kept the P.O. Job, and with NO BIBLE COLLEGE on my part, He opened the doors to a Volunteer Protestant Chaplain position, in the end of the line supermax Prison. He used me at that Prison for 9.5 years, and then we moved to a different town where for 5.5 more years I voluteered at another supermax prison.

Romans 7:9

2 Cor. 5:14

Ephesians. 2:1-6
Rom 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
You're using Romans 7:9 to say that spiritual death is when we're lost and don't know God. So you are saying that Paul was spiritually dead (lost) without the law once.

In you're view, does "alive WITHOUT the law once" mean that Paul was alive (spiritually alive - saved) without the law. But when the law came, then Paul died (spiritual death - lost without Christ).

Is this what you are saying?

Romans 7:9

2 Cor. 5:14

Ephesians. 2:1-6
2Co 5:4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

We that are in this tabernacle (our physical bodies), do groan because of the burden that this physical body puts on our spirit.

We are not asking to be unclothed (removed from this body - death), but we are groaning and asking that we be CLOTHED UPON (glorified bodies), so that DEATH might be exchanged for ETERNAL LIFE.

Where do you see spiritual death in that verse?

I don’t. Because that verse is not about a spiritually dead person being raised to new life, ie REGENERATION

I gave 3 or 4 verses that describe the state of being spiritually dead. and I defined it 3-4 times please read the verses I already gave you twice, and tell me what you think they mean

regeneration is not what your phony lordship junk teaches. saved by grace, proved by works.

trash.

yes, I personally believe in regeneration, but you push INSTANT regeneration, that is a big fat lie.

it looks different for everyone. some folks are instantly regenerated , some it takes times for the Fruits of the Sprit to began to manifest.

all are saved the instant they believe, and stay so as long as they believe.

regeneration is a separate conversation.

Did you read Romans 7:9 in its CONTEXT? Romans 7: 8 explains what Romans 7;9 is talking about. And what about the other verses I showed you?

The Law shows us that we are spiritually dead, so we can come to Jesus and be raised to spiritual life, REGENERATION

If we were not spititually dead, how is it that we are raised to spiritual life?

Some of you are confused because you don’t know about regeneration. 🙁

:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL: all you just said right now is that YOU don't know what regeneration means.

A person is REGENERATE the moment they believe, and stay that way forever.

Regeneration means being raised from spiritual death to spiritual life. (Ephesians 2:1-6)

When you believe, how long does it take for Christ to make you spiritually alive? 5 minutes, 5 weeks, 5 years?:D

Undeniable, undisputable evidence that GB9 does not know what regeneration is. The lack of Bible knowledge is stunning.

here is what it means to you, and judgemental people like you-

it means that one's relationship with Christ is manifested by a instant change in behavior, so that you can judge and lord yourself over them, hence is the end result hoped for by lordship salvation, and every other garbage religion.

Post number where I said any of that.

Watch everyone. GB9 will not give a post number.

What is regeneration, GB? Does it mean "ha, ha, ha ha, stayin' alive, stayin' alive..." oh that's the Beegees not the Geebees.

Remember what @Oncefallen said. No personal attacks. Don't attack the person, attack the argument. SO show where I said any of what you just claimed I said. @Eternally-grateful was challenged by @Rosemaryx about his charges against me and utterly crashed and burned when trying to pin something bad on me. The same will happen to you.

WHAT IS REGENERATION GB9? Do you have any idea?

What is regeneration, GB9? You keep showing that you have NO CLUE what it means.

Define it for me, why don't you.

You won't. Because if you do, it will show that your recent posts today are UTTERLY INCOHERANT.

but, here is the key-

you do not " say" things by typing out words, you say it by default.

so, here is how that looks- if one truly comes to Christ, then they are instantly regenerated . if one is instantly regenerated. then that will instantly show up by a change in behavior.

if that is what you teach ( it is), then you are teaching salvation demonstrated by good works, exactly what I have been calling you out for for months.

OF COURSE IF SOMEONE COMES TO CHRIST in faith THEY ARE REGENERATED then and there. What? do you have to go on a thirty day probation period before Christ will raise you to spiritual life???!!!!Hey, I think I need to check you out first before I raise you to spiritual life.:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

And I never said change in behaviour. I said change in NATURE. I am not teaching reformation, I am teaching regeneration.

Keep swingin' buddy. Your axe is very dull though
