In what way can it be said that the infants were witnesses (martyrs)?
You might as well give up on that conversation Mac. I’ve been there and done that with him last year.

That’s his story and he’s sticking to it.

I find that to be an interesting statement in light of what Jesus did?
Maybe you didn’t know this but Jesus was God offering HIMSELF for OUR sins.

Can you see the difference, God have his life so that we might have eternal life. God doesn’t require human sacrifice.

144,000 called ->>>Firstfuits same as JESUS -->First Fruits is a religious offering of the first agricultural produce of the harvest. ... In Christian faiths, the tithe is similarly given as a donation or offering serving as a primary source of income to maintain the religious leaders and facilities........And the WAVE OFFERING CONSISTED OF WHAT EXACTLY......!!!!!
The 144000 were sealed so that they WOULD NOT be killed. God doesn’t require his people to be offered up as a human sacrifice.

This is utterly ridiculous, more ridiculous than anything I’ve ever heard on this forum and I still haven’t used the word PAL, DRIVEL and those other words that you use to bash people over the head with. Lol

And you’re trying to get me banned lol.
I just don’t understand what makes them martyrs. A Martyr means witness, and thus someone who died for a testimony

And DC should have also been clearer What can I say?

And on top of that,How much clearer can I get when I said Jesus will lose
none of His sheep? That’s as crystal clear and clear cut as anything. I said that in essence four or five times and was accused of not believing that none of Christ’s sheep will be lost

And how about me saying that regeneration is instant upon believing and GB says I said behavior was instant

So what’s good for Mac is good for DC
Well maybe you guys should define your "terms" or something... I am not going back 3000 pages to figure out the disagreement.

You tell me ..........can a person do anything to lose their salvation... then I will know if you are clear.

I can state NO a person cannot.

@dcontroversal, what is the harmony between salvation being not by works(Ephesians 2:9) but also passages such as Galatians 5:19-21, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, and Revelation 21:8?

DC did not mean human sacrifice, KJV, though I can understand how may have misunderstood, what with die in Christ’s place and all.

Like lightskin said to me by implication. If a post is hard to understand, people are going to misquote it. What’s good for Mac is good for DC

They’re not martyrs, these guys were sealed so that when Ad 70 came, they wouldn’t be slaughtered with the wicked Jews.

The babies were murder by the devil. This is talked about in Revelation. This is the dragon seeking to devour the man child as soon as it was born.

I have said umpteen times that Jesus will lose nonevof His sheep. I can’t get any clearer than that

Okay

I still think you misunderstood the OP about the 144, 000 ... you can disagree from a eschatological perspective which is different thing altogether... however I did not read the word sacrifice the way you have alleged in the OP.

Yes, but it is true that if a person lays down their life for the gospel, killed by the devil, the act of the martyr is pleasing to God though not the act of the devil

I just don’t see how this applies to the babies Herod illed

Yes. Misunderstood perhaps. Maybe not misrepresented. So why report him?

Okay... probably for the best... since this is the NOT By WORKS thread anyway.

But He did not state sacrifice and I think changing the wording makes it look like you were making it look like he wrote something he did not, just saying.

I have done that ... another word comes to my head and I use it but it is not the same word the person used... I have learned it is not good practice.. people get upset and rightly so.

I have read that OP several times, I just do no know enough about eschatology to know what I think about it in terms of 144,000.....but I certainly never got the sense that @dcontroversal was stating anything about babies being sacrificed to God.. it was in fact embellished.

I summarized what I thought he meant and if I was wrong then I’m wrong. I didn’t purposely misrepresent what he said.

It’s easy to see UG. Jesus was the sacrifice of God. DC lumped the babies into that same sacrifice.

Snitching on a Christian forum though? :( what did I say about that last time around?
This would be a better place without it. Too lazy to look up my post, but it was when oncefallen stepped in here due to the many REPORTS. Did you like that comment?

Why'd you do it? Now you have the[SNITCH] tag on you forever and if KJV gets banned how can you reconcile, when you both agree on salvation AND its just a debate about a HADES or HELL word. Only reason for the whole deal to begin with was MOST of us were going by the GREEK and us knowing he is KJVOnly we should of just proven our point from the KJV!

At the end of the day most folks in the streets dotn got a clue about hades, unless its that place in hercules! But they do know hell, which is why MOST christians use hell for BOTH Hades, sheol AND Gehenna, just because thats what folks know. "hell or heaven". The usual package!
No doubt. When I reported people, it was for things like people saying I need to see a psychiatrist, I am sexually frustrated, etc. not for disagreements and misunderstandings

Listen Mr. KJV.... you are paraphrasing @dcontroversal words, cannot you not see how that is a problem?
It sounds very intentional that you are changing the meaning.

I am going to go back and read that thread..until then please sit quietly... that is the teacher in me talking!!
