That is where you are wrong again.....God inspired the past tense application pal....it is a done deal, but like normal your false religion will not allow you to see the truth....no surprise there!
So, are you glorified?

"..but the one who perseveres to the end will be saved" also means 'the one who doesn't persevere to the end will not be saved'

Perseverance means you are already engaged in something. Descriptive or not, that sentence means only at the end will something be issued, not at the beginning. Even those that start and fail midway, will not be saved.
The one who does not persevere to the end demonstrate that their faith was never firmly rooted and established from the start.

Amen brother. You have understanding beyond most.
Now this is a reason to get out of bed on a Saturday morning and have a good chuckle!!

Too funny... the one dimesional, overly simplified understanding.

Wrong

The word "saved" does not always mean spiritual salvation ... boy you really simplify scripture.

Context
Context?! the whole bible is about man's salvation (spiritual). The body has to pass away.

What did Diests believe?

What do deists believe?

by Matt Slick
8/18/09
Deists believe in Deism, a position that God, who is without beginning or end, created the world, set it in motion, but is not involved in the world.
Deists like to say that their religion is natural, not revealed. In other words, they derive their beliefs of morality, God, truth, purpose, etc., not through any direct revelation of God, i.e., the Bible, but through observation of nature and their use of reason. This would negate the idea of the Bible being inspired of God and it would certainly deny the incarnation, death, burial, and resurrection of God in the person of Jesus. (co CARM)
George Washington was a deist...

i know the bible says worthy servant good servant and these things but can anyone here publicly say they are being this great righteous servant? i know i wouldnt say it. because there is always room for improving and it may sound as boastful to say it. you can be sure that God is not impressed.

I was thinking they could open up a lemonade stand and bounce false ideology off of each other......

What about those who start firmly rooted and then loose it midway?

2 Pet 2:20If indeed they have escaped the corruption of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,e only to be entangled and overcome by it again, their final condition is worse than it was at first. 21It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than to have known it and then to turn away from the holy commandment passed on to them.

I mean, Stephen was stoned to death, do you mean he is among those who did not persevere to the end?
This is an idiotic response.......and reeks of a total lack of understanding that the word was given to the Lord's churches/saved and is directed at which ever generation is ALIVE when the end comes unless specific prophetic utterances apply......man I have never seen one as inept as you are when it comes to the basics of interpretation!

His definition of context.....

Context--> Make it up as you go
It is quite ridiculous the lengths some people will go to!!!

See, it is like you stated somewhere here, many, many pages back, start from the wrong point and then everything else is pretty much off course.

Yes directed at which ever generation is ALIVE, but no one is 'saved bodily'.

Absolutely true.....take the sights on a gun....a little off = miss by a mile over distance......same is true of the word.....get salvation wrong = missing everything by a mile!!
