In summery I would simply like to say that we are saved eternally providing we keep looking to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, and we do not stray off the narrow path.
What about the man on the cross ? , his wrist were nailed to the wood , and his feet , he could not wander could he , nor stray from any path , yet Jesus said " You will be with Me in Paradise "...

It’s a question
is baptism in water required to receive remission of sin and the HS?
I would like to stop guessing and know once and for all
As I do not know what baptism is for other than a celebration of faith and coming into the Kingdom, so
I will not define something further than scripture does because that would be a sin, as not part of faith.

Rom 14:23
everything that does not come from faith is sin

Do you want me to sin?

From the context, forgiven, Holy Spirit filled believers are baptised, so it is not needed to have these
things happen. Jesus though regards it as important, so that where I leave it. God bless you.

I have seen people do this over other issues they are not clear on before the Lord, and want to wait till
their hearts have clarity. But maybe this is not something you do, so cannot relate.

Hebrews 6:4-6 tells us the backslider cannot repent again, otherwise he is putting Christ to open shame. He has already lost his salvation.

I give up.
Heb 6 says a true believer can’t fall away. If the could not can not repent again.
It does not say what you claim in many peoples view,
You have your interpretation. That’s fine
stop judging others for theirs

You are right. But individual emphasis of expression of faith, does not invalidate that faith and love of Jesus.
Some groups have created a faith rule book, which then excludes people from salvation because they find fault
with them for a particular issue or set of words or point of view.

I was cured of that having friends from many denominations, and just fellowshipping and praising the Lord together
showed the common foundation in Christ we shared and we could just encourage one another.

There is no way he was going to backslide, his future with Christ is assured.

Then please stop using acts 2:38 as a passage telling us how to be saved receive remission of sin and how to receive the gift if the HS.
My heart has clarity
you made a statement I asked you to clarify it. And I am still not sure you did

The scripture that has been given is about salvation only, but there is nothing about growing in grace, the Christian life or walking day-by-day with the Lord.

Finally then, brethren, we request and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us instruction as to how you ought to walk and please God (just as you actually do walk), that you excel still more.

The Bible is our instruction for our daily walk , what do you mean it is not ?...

Jesus knew his heart. Maybe it was that?

Why would Jesus give a gift to someone KNOWING he would have to take it back?

What I find slightly worrying and slightly amusing is the serpent seed group can appear on the surface fine, and with a little digging it turns out to be off at some fundamental level.

One could suspect everyone all the time, or just spend ones time witnessing and sharing, and when things come up deal with them then. What you will discover is people change, the Lord moves, and His Kingdom moves forward, Praise the Lord.

So walking with Him is knowing He keeps us in His hands day in day out

Isaiah 42:6-7
"I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness."

Are you serious  , O like you mean believe like satan , yes I see that ...Wouldn't it of been wonderful if God had called Hitler to the cross , but hey , out of that ugly demon satan and his puppet Hitler , after many Jews were killed , God brought back His children to Israel...
Jesus died for the vilest sinner and if it had been Hitler on the cross instead of the repentant thief, He would be with Christ eternally, his sins which were many, forgiven. However, if Hitler had backslidden, that would be his end. Just make sure you always remain secure in the arms of Jesus.

What about the night they took Jesus ? , what did all the disciples do ? , they fell away from Him , they fled in shock , in doubt , Peter denying Him 3 times , and yet we are , reading the wonderful Gospels ...

I believe in Jesus when He said " Not one will I lose " , you do not trust in Jesus to keep you , you doubt God , you live in fear , satan torments you , he loves it when we doubt our LORD and Savior , find peace in Jesus , rest in Him ...

I meant EG offered nothing. The Bible, as you say, offers lots of guidance.

Ok. We are getting somewhere. You do not believe act 2:38 tells us anything about sin and the gift of the Holy Spirit.

I agree that it is not a theological treatise, but it gives the highlights.
A lot of scripture is like that, a summary, you fill in the details, this group went from here to there because of this.

The reason I go to acts 2 for a gospel presentation, because it has everything.
The sermon, the audience, the conviction, the response, the key for the next steps and finally the adding to the body.

You are asking me to stop that which God has declared through His word. Should I obey you or God?
No contest there.

If you are willing could you explain why acts 2:38 causes you are problem?
Maybe we can work through it together.

it does.. But you have to interpret it right.

The pharisee knew scripture by heart. Yet they did not get it right, and killed their messiah.

knowing word is great

knowing THE word is what counts though

Christ saved me when I was dead in sins , He saved me when He died on the cross , I am now alive in Christ , hidden in Him as He stands in Heaven , He shall not lose one , not one...

I am SECURE in Christ , and God is my Father , He chose me ...How can you believe God calls us knowing someone would deny His Son ? , He knows who are is and who is not , His children grow in grace , you are stuck in your own understanding , ...

I had nothing to do with my birth from my parents , and I had nothing to do with me being born again , thank God He KEEPS me...

Firstly Christ does not take back his free gift of salvation. We lose it because of disobedience. Secondly the thief in the cross only had a short time left to live.

I never heard of such a thing and yet there are people walking through life believing that nonsense. All the while those same people tell us we must maintain our salvation. Pretty incredible.
This particular young lady had several issues. I had a conversation with her last year where she said we were the fallen angels, and that our punishment was to be in these human bodies.

She got all that from Jeremiah 4 I think, which admittedly is a difficult passage.
