But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.


why dont we do this? ive never done it have you guys? has any church ever done it? am i misunderstanding the verse or is it saying what it looks like its saying and that no one including me has ever obeyed this verse lolz

why didnt anyone answer this. is it because you are like me and dont put this to practice? lolz.

God did nor does not look down on us and think " Awww , they are so lovely " we were wretched sinners when He called us , deep in the murky waters , filthy to our bones , yet He loved us...If He saved us through His Son our Lord Jesus Christ while we were dead in our sins , what makes you people who think we can lose our Salvation that He can not keep us while we are alive now in Christ ?

The backslider in heart is identified (apostate unbeliever) in the category of the fool, the wicked and the disobedient, in contrast with the upright who are wise. This is addressed to Israel as a whole.

We do, do this..... It is heartbreaking and we often follow a process....


First we ecourage good works, then we reprove, then we rebuke (all of this can't be done as a hypocrit either... worry about whats in your eye first) .... but if someone who professes Christ still does these things we ought to separate ourselves from them and leave them to God....


This is different from a blind person who knows not what they do....

They need to be shown tough love and sometimes that needs to be from a distance... we shouldn't fellowship with them as "friends" though we should still be willing to offer help in love (wanting their best and sharing what God puts on our heart with them but in no way enabling or supporting such a lifestyle)




I may not have obeyed that perfectly but I have followed that wise advice and it was a blessing to me and a lesson to them.... good came from it...


bad company can really corrupt manners to say the least, let alone waste what God provides and steal your joy or peace...


we should NOT use this as an excuse to act as if we dont need mercy as much as them

or as an excuse to not help someone in need....

this is a form of help to ourselves and those who need a wake up call that "this is NOT ok"

Having the Holy Spirit is our helper , when we feel like we can not go on any longer , when we feel the pinches of the narrow way becoming even tighter , God pulls us through...

The Holy Spirit will never allow us to fall away , we are a new creation , we are drawn closer to God each day , but those who "claim " to be in Christ , there true colours eventually show...

i have the opposite problem. outside of like 2 people in my life....... i can cut people off so easily its scary.

i can just cut off people like nothing. once people cross the line with me too many times i look at them like they are rats or roaches like of no value i could see them get ran over by a bus and i would not even blink. thats how little i care about the people i have cut off. of zero value to me. if they apologize then of course we are in good graces again but if not they are air to me.

most people have the problem of they cant let go of certain people and hang on in bad crowd too long thinking they can win them over..

we all need work done ive tried to not think about people that way but i cant help myself. at one point i tried the fake it till you make it method where i pretended to care about those people but really after some self-examination i quickly notice ok im not fooling God with this show im not even fooling myself.

We are no better than roaches or rats without Jesus.

I think that we all can hold on too long and let go too early....

The best we can do is pray in the moment and in our free time look to the scriptures for guide lines and advice....



The people we need to remove ourselves from.... if we ever feel grossed out by their lack of love or care and how they take all their blessings for granted....


We can take a moment to realize how without Jesus WE have done ZERO good....


In unbelief I could say "cheaters are like roaches"


not knowing a lustful imagination is also adultery and before God ... this spec of dirt is just like that one....

Anyone who turns away from God after first believing is lost. They have turned away. End of. People cannot turn half away, either we are for God or we are against Him.
