Jesus said the 'all has been accomplished' part is what had to be fulfilled between when he was speaking and the end of heaven and earth in order for even so much as a jot or a tittle to be dropped from the law. That's how we know the 'all has been accomplished' part has been done. Because much more than just a jot and a tittle has passed from the law (animal sacrifice for sin, for example).
It does not say, all has been accomplished. (regarding Messiah prophecy)
The Book of Matthew chapter 5:17
Fulfillment of the Law and Prophets
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have not come to abolish these things but to fulfill them.[q] 18 I[r] tell you the truth,[s] until heaven and earth pass away not the smallest letter or stroke of a letter[t] will pass from the law until everything takes place. 19 So anyone who breaks one of the least of these commands and teaches others[u] to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever obeys them and teaches others to do so will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness goes beyond that of the experts in the law[v] and the Pharisees,[w] you will never enter the kingdom of heaven!

Not all regarding Messiah has been accomplished. And Heaven and Earth are still here. Jesus fulfilled the law of sacrifice. He fulfilled the whole Mitzvot , 613 laws of God, perfectly. However, there remains more in the prophecy of Messiah for all to be accomplished regarding Messiah prophecy.
We might consider that is why the Apostles after Jesus departed them and returned to Heaven continued to abide by certain parts of the law. Even their brother Paul.

INCLUDING THIS PROPHECY:

Romans 5:8-11 (HCSB)
8 But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us!
9 Much more then, since we have now been declared righteous by His blood, we will be saved through Him from wrath.
10 For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, ⌊then how⌋ much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by His life!
11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We have now received this reconciliation through Him.

And this one:

Philippians 1:6 (HCSB)
6 I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

That future TRUTH is as TRUE as the DAY HE PLANNED IT, that is why our names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

Isaiah 46:10-11 (NASB)
10 Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, 'My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure';
11 Calling a bird of prey from the east, The man of My purpose from a far country. Truly I have spoken; truly I will bring it to pass. I have planned it, surely I will do it.

I'm stating that James is written to the entire nation of Israel. As doctrine, the book of James will apply to the Jews living in the tribulation after the rapture mentioned by Paul. Paul's letters address the body of Christ. Then Hebrews and James addresses the Jews as God turns His attention back to that nation and continues His program with that nation.
But didn't you say the 'faith of Jesus' is for the church, not for the Jews?

"1My brethren, hold not, in respect of persons, the faith of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ " - James 2:1

But the Scripture has shut up everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.

Whosoever is clear..........so are the words eternal, everlasting, kept, uttermost, sealed, never leave, never forsake, lose nothing, irrevocable, gift of God, not of works, justified, sanctified, hid in Christ, and on and on and on.....

This losable salvation or self sustained faith that is peddled on this site is not of God.......

Amen!!

It is not of God..and how it must grieve Him that some teach that Jesus is necessary but not sufficient to save.

It lines up perfectly with Romans 4, Abraham was saved grace through faith and not works. In James 2, Abraham's faith was justified as being true saving faith when he offered up Isaac. "Fake faith" would not allow Abraham to offer up his son.
Yes.
Faith makes us righteous.
Works show that we have that righteousness.

And so it is that the truly saved person is justified by, both, faith and works, and not by faith only, or else his faith is fake and he is not really saved:

"if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?" - James 2:14
.
."24 ...out of works is man declared righteous, and not out of faith only" - James 2:24

"Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds." - James 2:18

But so many in the church are taking false comfort in having the justification by faith part only. Not knowing if they really had the justification by faith part they'd also have the justification by works part, too, like Abraham did.

Faith comes from Him

Rom 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Amplified 13Is anyone among you suffering? He must pray. Is anyone joyful? He is to sing praises [to God]. 14Is anyone among you sick? He must call for the elders (spiritual leaders) of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; 15and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power]. 1

Geneva with notes
5:14 9 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with g oil in the h name of the Lord:
9 He shows peculiarly, to what physicians especially we must go when we are diseased, that is, to the prayers of the elders, which then also could cure the body, (for so much as the gift of healing was then in force) and take away the main cause of sickness and diseases, by obtaining healing for the sick through their prayers and exhortations.
(g) This was a sign of the gift of healing: and now seeing we have the gift no more, the sign is no longer necessary.
(h) By calling on the name of the Lord.
5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed i sins, they shall be forgiven him.
(i) He has reason in making mention of sins, for diseases are often sent because of sins.
NIV
13 Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise.

14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.

15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.

NIV
Kinda interesting how the KJV the Geneva both do not lean to the healing of the sick . They are the older translations .Reading Mathew Henry he does not lean to the healing .. The newer translations do . More study in needed ..

Jesus words used in English the conjunction, and. Until Heaven and Earth pass away. He did not say either or. Until Heaven or Earth pass away. Had he done, it would remain the same because Heaven or Earth are still here.

In Koine (common) Greek, and is =καί (kai)
Strong: G2532
GK: G2779
(1) and, Mt. 2:2, 3, 11; 4:22; (2) καί ... καί, both ... and; (3) as a cumulative particle, also, too, Mt. 5:39; Jn. 8:19; 1 Cor. 11:6; (4) emphatic, even, also, Mt. 10:30; 1 Cor. 2:10; in NT adversative, but, Mt. 11:19; also introductory of the apodosis of a sentence, Gal. 3:28; Jas. 2:4

There remains other events pertaining to Messiah that have to be accomplished before all is fulfilled. The second coming is but one such event.

YES, AMEN!

IT IS PART OF THE GIFT OF GOD!

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NASB)
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

I do not know why so many of the younger Generation, believe faith is something they themselves reasoned in their own intellect.

I supposed it could all be part of the Great Falling Away.

What is the word of faith do we preach?

But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ (the word) down from above: ) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ (the word) again from the dead.) But what saith it? The word (Christ) is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

For Christ (through which the word is in the heart and mouth) is the end of the law (in written form, on tables of stone and parchment)) for righteousness to every one that believeth.
(Rom 10:4,6-8)
I will put my laws (the word through Christ) into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
(Heb 8:10 KJV)

How is someone who no longer believes in Him not also one who does not believe? The verse is speaking of both, those who have never believed, and those who stopped believing, because both do not believe.
John 3:18 has only two camps. Those who believe in Him and are not condemned and those who do not believe and are condemned already. There is no third camp here of those who stopped believing and are once again condemned.

Yes, those who stopped believing are among those who do not believe. That's self evident.
So show us the words "stopped believing" and "lost salvation." I'll be waiting.

I've been meaning to ask you to post the Catholic version of 1 John 3:18.
Let's see if they are as honest in translating that verse as they are with vs. 16.
I'm very curious.
Did you mean John 3:18? - Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. What happened to the Catholic version translating it with 2 mights in that verse? So how can someone who (truly) believes in Him might or might not be condemned and will not be condemned at the same time? Start dancing.
