That's simply not true. That's what I'm trying to show you.
Even though you actually do the trusting, God graciously and mercifully moved heaven and earth so you can. Because that's true, you simply can not boast in having trusted in Christ. You did nothing but trust in what he did.
Infinitesimal is still infinitesimally farther from complete.

The desire in my heart to do righteousness is not something I produced.
That's right.
The soil (the heart of a man) can not realize it's own potential to love righteousness (if it has that potential).
That's why the soil can not boast in what grows in it.

You're assuming, however, that once God works in you, that you have the ability to lose yourself to the wild, and the Shepherd would not come looking for you.
You'd have a hard time getting the Shepherd to not come looking for you.
That doesn't mean you'll automatically respond to his intense effort to bring you back.
I think you may have a hard time resisting that effort, but in the end, you retain your free will not to.

As if in His searching, He would not find you.
I think you mean, 'in his searching, he could not bring you back', right? (Because, of course, he knows where everything is.)
Like I say, I think that the saved person retains the free will to continue to trust in Christ for justification/salvation, or not to.

You are persistent that God is only capable of reviving your soul and showing you the way, but that He must pray to... I don't know, your will or something... That all the work He's done will succeed, that you'll make it to the finish line with all He's given you.
I'm just saying that the believer retains his free will to love, and live for, God's salvation, or not to. Though with Christ in his life it's going to be a pretty brutal fight to wrestle yourself from the love of your Father....depending on how endeared he is to begin with to the one who saved him. A believer with a weaker relationship with God is, obviously, going to experience less of a struggle with leaving God than someone who has a stronger relationship with God. And in the end, "God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden"-Romans 9:18. None of us knows where God says, 'enough is enough'.

I see what you're trying to show me. Where you are failing is convincing me. Primarily because I see you inserting yourself in your own salvation plan, however minutely.
The problem is you think that has to be 'works'.
But I'm showing you the Bible says that is NOT works.
You trusting in Christ is not 'works'.
Somewhere along the line the works gospel got defined as you doing ANYTHING to be saved. Instead of what the Bible says is the works gospel.

You have to trust in Christ to be justified. What you don't have to do is perform works of righteousness to be justified. Performing works of righteousness to be justified is what the Bible says is the works gospel. Somehow trusting in Christ got moved over to the side of works in the epic battle between the works gospel and the gospel of faith in Christ.

Matthew 1:21 King James Version (KJV)

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

If you are kept by the Power of Messiah/Christ, you would be Sinless. Yeshua/Jesus Saves his people from their Sins.

He has saved and will save every one of His children. We will be seen as sinless come judgement having not our righteousness but the righteousness of Christ.

Isaiah 53:11 - He shall see of the travail of his soul, [and] shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
----------

romans 3

19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
------------

Romans 5:19
19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous

-------------

2 Corinthians 5:21 - For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

------------

Philippians 3:9 - And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

------------------

Galatians 2:16 - Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

_______
Titus 3:5
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

______

I have been saved already. From a just punishment as well as the bondage of sin and appart from merit.

You however seem to reject Christ's righteousness and seek to establish your own.

1 John 5:12
"He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life."

John 5:24
"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

Romans 8:16
The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God

John 10:29
"My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

All of the above pertains to salvation. No where does it speak of works; to keep or to attain.

Living a Christian life is to be our goal but that will still not be possible 100% because we are in human form. Those who spew forth being perfect, holding onto, etc. are misled and are misleading.

Then he earned salvation
not true
I am not saying that, he was declared righteousness in Genesis 15:6 for believing God. That verse almost every one has heard about and know how to use.

But, Genesis 17:11-14 clearly explained that God required him and all males from him to circumcise themselves. If Abraham ever declined that, he will be cut off from the covenant, as vs 14 indicated.

I am just reading the Bible there.

Great post!!!

The correct understanding of the application of Faith has been lost. All due to a mistranslation of the Greek word pisteuo.

Pisteuo, was mistranslated into the English with the words believe, believer, and believing. There is no such thing in the Greek as just believing.

Pisteuo can't be translated into the English using only one word. Primarily because the English doesn't have a corresponding verb to the noun Faith like the Greek does. The English should have the words faithe, faither, and faithing to correctly comunícate pisteuo.

Pisteuo is defined in the Greek dictionary as" a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender. "

Bottom line in regards to the " deceived believers" in here. Everything is a work except believing, for them that doesn't take any work or effort!

Yep.

not to earn his salvation, but a sign of the covenant,

just like God says we are to be baptized. Not to get or keep saved. But as a sign of faith in obedience to him.

You may read the Bible, sadly you do not understand what you read

They can’t let go of their own part of earning what they recieve, it’s human nature.

"No, you're a something something times a million!"
Revelation 18:4 King James Version (KJV)

4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

The fourth type of person is few compared to the Billions of Roman Catholics, Protestants and Eastern Orthodox that make up Christendom. "Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her Sins."

I wonder what would happen if you understood the word "context." I bet you'd learn the butler did it.

Otherwise he will be cut off from the covenant.

Something that we don't have to worry now, because our covenant is cut between God the Son and God the Father. That is why our situation is much better than in the OT. We are saved by Christ obedience, not ours.

I have no idea why you always feel the need to add personal comments about others. You find it difficult to just present your views without doing so?

Will this work.

WRONG! IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN, THE MOTIVE FOR KEEPING! IF IT IS NOT OUT OF A DEEP, REVERENT AGAPE LOVE FOR HIM, IT IS AS WORTHLESS AS WOOD, HAY, AND STUBBLE, OR FILTHY RAGS TO HIM.

LOOK AT THE ALL THE WORKS DONE BY THESE PEOPLE, AND BECAUSE THE MOTIVE WAS WRONG, THESE PEOPLE WERE REJECTED BY THE LORD HIMSELF:

Matthew 7:21-23 (NKJV)
21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'
23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

That is Born Again, and if you do not have that inner, personal, Agape LOVE relationship with HIM FIRST. ALL YOUR WORKS WILL BE DONE FOR THE WRONG MOTIVE. THOSE DEEDS HAVE TO BE DONE only BECAUSE YOU AGAPE LOVE HIM, THAT SAME LOVE THAT HE POURED IN YOUR HEART. IT WILL BE REJECTED.

Romans 5:5 (HCSB)
5 This hope will not disappoint ⌊us⌋, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Psalm 44:21 (HCSB)
21 wouldn’t God have found this out, since He knows the secrets of the heart?

Jeremiah 17:10 (HCSB)
10 I, Yahweh, examine the mind, I test the heart to give to each according to his way, according to what his actions deserve.

1 Chronicles 28:9 (HCSB)
9 “As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands the intention of every thought. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

Romans 8:27 (NKJV)
27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Revelation 2:23 (HCSB)
23 I will kill her children with the plague. Then all the churches will know that I am the One who examines minds and hearts, and I will give to each of you according to your works.

John 14:15 King James Version (KJV)

15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Let's put it another way. The act of Loving Elohim/God is demonstrated by Keeping his Commandments. This is the teaching of Yeshua Messiah/Jesus Christ.

CAN YOU UNDERSTAND NOW? It is NOT that you do them, IT IS OUR OF AGAPE LOVE ONLY, that you do them.
Jude 12 King James Version (KJV)

12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

You have never Loved Elohim/God if you don't keep the Feast Days in the Law of Moses.
