This thread been up since 2017 and many have been banned within it. In my opinion this thread has been the ugliest thread since being on this site.

Nothing wrong with the topic but things quickly get so ugly. Even Paul had to deal with Judaism converts who still had works minded faith. Of course that was the original faith vs works debate. Now it has gone theologically deeper.

It has definitely gone much "wider" with false doctrine reinventing itself in every which.

I wouldn't doubt that many self-banned (by not returning) after receiving the ire of some of the OSAS adherents here.

I was tempted to get out of this site entirely myself because of this thread not long after joining. But God gives me strength to quench all the fiery darts.

Again!!

@azamzimtoti.... wow I am definitely on the downward slide when it comes to the coherence, spelling and the grammar of my posts!

If those workers would take a day off I could maybe get some rest for my weary eyes!

I preach the pure, unadulterated, unleavened, scripture to anyone with ears to hear.

I cannot help if the leaven of false doctrines interferes with this.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Amen!

Which is why you should:

Take heed unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee (1 Timothy 4:16).

Colossians 1:21-23 states that you are now reconciled, if you continue in the faith grounded and settled.

He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

You actually do not agree with scripture... because if you did, you would not try to add on verses that are not addressing spiritual salvation.

Why does Ephesians 2:10 follow after the 2 famous saved by Grace verses?

*** What did Jesus Christ say should be the attractions of Christianity?

What did the Apostle Paul indicate about such?

Didn’t Jesus Christ say “the world will know you are My disciples by your love for one another”?

Romans 14:17 says that “the Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ indicated what the Apostle Paul later wrote in his epistle to the Christians in Rome.

“And when He was demanded of the Pharisees, when the Kingdom of God should come,

He answered them and said,

'The Kingdom of God does not come with observation;

neither shall they say, 'See here!' or, 'see there'

for, indeed, the Kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:20-21)

And Jesus Christ said that if we love Him, we would obey His commandments and His other teachings.

And the love He was talking about is the unselfish agapè love

that we can only receive from God when we are right with Him;

it is not the usually selfish philèo and eros loves that either just happen or we produce.

Did you ever wonder what kind of Christians would be appreciated by victims of a tragedy,

the religious ones or the unselfish compassionate ones?

True Christians should be like the Moon reflecting the Sun’s light,

reflecting Jesus Christ (instead of selves) to others.

But many professing Christians are selfish humanists usually with a serious “I” problem.

And remember Satan had and has a serious pride and boasting problem.

In your life, who were the individuals in the churches you attended you liked the most?

Why did you decide to be a member in churches?

It is never fruitful for either side in these threads. In my opinion Christianity's biggest threat is humanistic secularism. I would much prefer someone to convert to a Calvinist mentality than a complete anti God mentality.

Two things:

  1. I do not profess works salvation.
  2. OSAS is the doctrine that allows for workers of iniquity to think they are saved in this condition.

YOU ARE STILL AS WRONG AS WRONG CAN BE ABOUT WHAT OSAS ACTUALLY TEACHES. LOSE YOUR FALSE IDEAS ABOUT OSAS AND START TO LISTEN TO WHAT WE OF OSAS, ARE ACTUALLY SAYING. YES, WE BELIEVE IN OBEDIENCE, BUT IT HAS NEVER BEEN PART OF SALVATION. IT IS PART OF OUR WILLING GODLY LOVE FOR GOD AND OTHERS. SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE TRIED TO TELL YOU THAT, AND YOU TUNE THEM OUT, AND CONTINUE TO BELIEVE WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN TAUGHT, AND IT IS A LIE ABOUT WHAT ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED TEACHES AND BELIEVES.

You are one of the proudest men I know.. But that's to be expected When you boast of your righteousness It empties out on the way you treat people and what you say.

I suggest you stop being so proud. and become poor in spirit so you too can enjoy the kingdom of God

Just so you know, I only believe in 3 points of the 5 points of Calvinism.

So Calvinists will not consider me part of them, and neither do Armenians accept me.

So what do you Call me ? ? ? How about a normal Born Again Christian?

I hate those Calvinists and Armenians TITLES, because they just cause bitter arguments, and that cannot be of GOD.

As far as I am concerned, we EVANGELICALS, buried that Argument back in the early 80's, so stop digging up that old ARGUMENT.

No, no, silly.

Workers of Iniquity >>>>> See Jude for starters.
Jesus NEVER knew these workers of iniquity in Matthew 7:22-23 which means they were NEVER saved.

In regards to the book of Jude, notice that Jude is exhorting believers to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints (vs. 3) because certain ungodly men who have crept in unnoticed. Jude further describes these ungodly men as ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit (vs. 19)

In CONTRAST to those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and PRESERVED in Jesus Christ (vs. 1).

Psalm 37:28 - For the Lord loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are PRESERVED FOREVER, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.

What’s false or lacking about John 3:16-17?
What is false or lacking....

Their dogma, such as....

a. I must maintain my faith to stay saved.
b. I must help Jesus cause he is too weak to keep me saved
c. I must help Jesus because he cannot finish or complete faith in me
d. I must do many wonderful works to stay saved
e. I must religiously hoop jump like a poodle to stay saved
f. I must be more rightepus then them d--- sinners or I lose my salvation

Etc......and that is why they will miss the boat, make the "many group" and be denied entrance!!!!

People can claim to know Jesus. This means nothing. It does not mean Jesus knows you (in the sense of a believer).

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him (1 John 2:4).

So a person can claim to be saved. But if that same person fails to keep his commandments, he is in a delusional state; thinking Christ knows him.

Typically most fall somewhere in between somewhere like you. They may lean more one way but not completely and then through hundreds of presumptive posts or explanations people argue within this spectrum.

I am sure who ever you are talking to will enjoy it because they earned it, or at least it's what they think.
