I'm talking about the best student in the class who turns completely around in the wrong direction and deliberately shoots his arrow away from the target.
like the apostle Peter, eh

how many times did he have to be told to put away his sword?

how about 6 and a half minutes?

listen to this, it's accurate:

la CA Vrei (Take What You Want)
I’ve been wrong more than I’ve been right
Fooling myself painted with pride
Angels of death darkness and light
Kissing my forehead
Beautifully tasted their dreams - sown shut my eyes
What do you want from me?
Mongrels and goats
They were the golden hooks in my nose
Fall on my knees Lift up my face
No longer deny Wonderful grace
You make me cry - with one drop of blood
What do you want from me?
You took my hate
replaced it with love
You took the coal that healed my tongue
You took my death
replaced it with life
You drove out the horrors that possessed my mind
You showed me peace
when I had none
Shown me forgiveness
forgot what I’d done
You gave me the sky
You gave me the sea
Take what You want from me

it's because i know what he did that i know nothing can snatch me from His hand.
it's because i am utterly in love that i cling to Him. not because i'm afraid and have no trust in Him.
He's not a terror to me; He's a Saviour; He is my Husband.
How about 3 1/2 minutes? You just gotta love the Reformation era lyrics of those bygone years. Today's CCM just can't compare:

1.
Yield not to temptation,
for yielding is sin.
Each vict'ry will help you,
some other to win.
Fight manfully onward,
dark passions subdue.
Look ever to Jesus,
He will carry you through.

2.
Shun evil companions,
bad language disdain.
God's name hold in rev'rence,
Nor take it in vain.
Be thoughtful and earnest,
kindhearted and true.
Look ever to Jesus,
He will carry you through.

3.
To him that o'ercometh,
God giveth the crown.
Through faith we will conquer,
though often cast down.
He Who is our Savior,
our strength will renew.
Look ever to Jesus,
He will carry you through.

(breakdown)
So, why don't you ask the Savior to help you,
Comfort, strengthen, and keep you?
He's willing to aid you,
He will carry you through.

In my view, much of sin is deliberate and known though some can be unconscious. I think in the majority of cases, sin is known.
Temperance is moderation in all that is good and total abstinence from all that is evil.

If our Christian walk is marked with deliberate habitual sin, it's time to check the map to see if we're on the right path.

So after the 2nd coming, even though we have free choice, we will always end up choosing not to sin.

Is that what you are saying?
After Jesus walks out of the Heavenly Sanctuary and says no more switching sides, we will always have the choice to sin but continuously choose not to.

The concept of "faith" ought to include "faithfulness", should it not?

So when you read verses that says "God cannot lie" Numbers 23:19,Titus 1:2,Hebrews 6:18, would you also interpret them as actually saying God always have the choice to lie but continuously choose not to?

Not Peter at all..he learned to conquer his defects of character.
"Peter" did this or God working in Peter faithfully completed conforming him to His image?

was Peter looking to Peter?
or looking to Jesus?

i think you should pay attention to what you hear.

Why do people lie? Fear, financial gain, ego inflation, etc.

Does a sovereign God need to lie for such reasons?

Matthew 7:23

“And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬
https://www.bible.com/1/mat.7.23.kjv

Those who work iniquity are not saints and never knew Christ.
Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn......yet another "proof text" to disprove another text with no regard for Scriptural harmony. I have an answer for Matthew 7:23 KJV, but nevermind, but you just go right on ahead and ignore Matthew 24:12 KJV.

see you don't seem to believe that.
I like the use of "seem". It allows you to skate up to "judge not" without crossing the line.

One might say ... *ahem* .... "IT SEEMS TO ME YOU OSAS FOLK LOVE SIN MORE THAN JESUS AND IS WHY YOU NEED A LICENSE TO KEEP DOING IT".

..but, I won't 'cause I got too much class for that. Let's keep the discussion limited to doctrine, OK?
