This coming from the one who said EG post was amazing and it's wrong??

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of what?
When people think of God as big Daddy who loves us all sooo much and forget He's King too, really go sideways
It is altogether lovely.

God does not make mistakes, His plan of atonement is perfect and supported consistently in scripture for those who rightly divide. Your plan is hit and miss and makes a mess of scripture so that it is an inconsistent mess where sheer human effort is really salvation and not Jesus.

I pray that you will someday leave your shackles behind and see how much God loves you and how much He has really done for you!

It will be a revelation and you will wish with all your heart that you had taken the time to trust God's word from the start, He is a God who justifies His children eternally based on their faith and right belief because of His complete work through The Son Christ Jesus.

Zi, it seems everyone that believes their false doctrine is blindly dedicated to it, regardless of the mountains of evidence against it.

That's what designates a cult, right?

That goes two ways pal....and the only false gospel is one that is worked for and must be maintained and that can be lost....it will be a bad day for you when you finally find out that your religion is heretical....

Galatians 3
15To give a human example, brothers:f even with a man-made covenant, no one annuls it or adds to it once it has been ratified. 16Now the promises were made to Abraham and to his offspring. It does not say, “And to offsprings,” referring to many, but referring to one, “And to your offspring,” who is Christ. 17This is what I mean: the law, which came 430 years afterward, does not annul a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to make the promise void. 18For if the inheritance comes by the law, it no longer comes by promise; but God gave it to Abraham by a promise.

To use your own words, this post of yours falls into the stupid and foolish arguments' category. Abraham was informed from the get go that the child of promise was to come through Sarah. Unbelievable that you would say otherwise. You need to read Genesis again!

I agree. Abraham tried to fulfill the will of God through his own self-effort in the flesh and he created an Ishmael.

This is a type of us "trying to do good works" to achieve what only God can give - Life - eternal life and the fulfilling of all His promises.

This is the essence of a works-based belief system that actually nullifies the very grace of God from operating in our lives like it was meant to.

God doesn't even recognize the son of the flesh that Abraham made. God only recognizes that He has made and it is Isaac that God gave Abraham and Sarah the ability to produce - long after their own bodies were not capable. God only recognizes "the son of the promise".

God said to him "Take your son - your only son..."

If your group is so right, why do they have to outright lie to cover their doctrine?

They have been caught red-handed using eisegesis, twisting commentaries & lexicons, & making up stuff.

There's no way they can do all that & be right.

Precept Austin.org... I' LL bet
Could be this one..

https://bible.org/question/what-does-greek-word-tetelestai-mean

The word tetelestai was also written on business documents or receipts in New Testament times to show indicating that a bill had been paid in full. The Greek-English lexicon by Moulton and Milligan says this:

“Receipts are often introduced by the phrase [sic] tetelestai, usually written in an abbreviated manner...” (p. 630). The connection between receipts and what Christ accomplished would have been quite clear to John’s Greek-speaking readership; it would be unmistakable that Jesus Christ had died to pay for their sins.

People who use the "your group" versus "my group" , need to knock it off.

Everyone is an individual and don't agree 100% with any other person on this forum.

Why can't people have a discussion without "taking sides"?

Just state what you believe and why.

Do you believe works or need to obtain salvation?

Most people say "No only faith."

Next.

Is works needed to maintain your salvation?

Then the question:

Can you lose salvation?

Which goes to:

How does one truly obtain salvation in the first place?

And

When and how does a person know they are saved?

When they receive the Holy spirit or only upon death and faithfully following Jesus until the end?

Most people have different answers to each of those questions.

We can focus on the differences civilly if we acknowledge the beliefs we share and discuss what is foundational for our faith and walk with Christ.

But then how many actually want discussion?

I don't know.
She just said that God did her a wrong.
Eventually she said that she doesn't believe God exists or He wouldn't allow things like this to happen.
She has become a sad and bitter person.
Her husband died at an early age about 8 years ago. In his 60's.

She didn't understand the grace of God. Nor the hope of seeing him again. I would say she believed, but not to completeness of the new birth.

Some come under the light...but the light must penetrate the heart to become the new man/woman.

My group? and this is all according to your perception....and the same can be said of you and 'your group" as well.....Who lied...what EG said is correct and combined with ALL the other scriptures about our sins being covered, removed, Christ as the propitiation, died for the sins of the whole world etc. proves the point......even the definition you posted states I PAY.....this is a basic 7 year old 1st grade tenant of biblical Christianity.......

Wise, very wise. Is also dividing the body here. We can be unified in the Son, no matter the details. And I just heard Meggido's devil in the details quote. lol

Most people i led I have seen walk away from God walk away because of legalism, hey can't live up to he standard the church tries to place on them so why bother, they do not understand grace, all they know are s judgment

thats why I fight it so hard, and will till I die! Or until God stops me
This is quite a statement. It implies if people had no standards but knew they were
accepted while sinning, things would be different?

How is this construct true or meaningful?

The love of Christ in the cross does not change, and the reality of His empowerment
in a believers life. One could read the words to imply, do not walk away because you
do not have to feel bad about your sin, God accepts you though you are caught in your
sin.

I checked it. the article speaks of this book: https://archive.org/stream/vocabularyofgree00mouluoft#page/630/mode/2up

I did a phrase search, & didn't find it. nothing.

I downloaded the PDF, & searched for it. Nothing

I downloaded the text file, & searched for it. Nothing.

It's possible the site "read somewhere" it was there, & never checked it out.

It wouldn't be the first time a site was fooled.

I believe a lot of sincere believers have left the church ( not Jesus ) because they could not live this religious "sinless perfection in the flesh" Christian life that was being preached to them by some people and because of this "lose your salvation" false doctrine - they felt they had to work for their salvation and thus lost their joy and lost their first love - which is "knowing His love for them"

They loved Jesus " in their heart" but they didn't want to be a hypocrite so they backed away from the organized church.

Then there is the group that struggled with a certain sin and were never taught about grace properly and so they left because they were defeated. Constantly feeling condemned and guilty and full of shame. The legalists keep preaching at them to change!

The only change that is effective is from the true manifestation of the life of Jesus that is already in us - in our new creation and that only comes with the message of the gospel of the grace of Christ.

I believe there are thousands of Christians like this but I also believe the Lord is bringing them back to Him - only this time it will be based on the true knowledge of Him and His love and grace for them.

The Lord is bringing His beloved back to Him. Let's not have the judgmental works-based older brother who doesn't know the heart and true nature of the Father to meet them at the door of our churches instead of having the Father meet them.

I believe in preaching the love and grace of God in Christ so that believers will have the proper nutrients to grow up in Christ.

We need to build the firm foundation in Him first before we bring on the warning scriptures because we can speak of them in the wrong light and if we are not built on the foundation of Christ Himself and His finished work on the cross - it can cause us to become ship-wrecked.

Speaking the warning scriptures to those with that firm foundation in Christ is needed and they should be heeded and then they become a blessing to us and keep us centered on Christ and His life and not on the flesh with it's deceitfulness.

Walk by the flesh in this life and we will bring destruction of some sort in all our lives - from living a homosexual lifestyle to outbursts of anger, to malice, to envy, to the slandering of others in the body of Christ. They are all in the same lists together.

Let's preach and teach the love and grace of God so that we can grow up in Christ.

Falling away

Simple, walking in the flesh after coming to faith, sowing to evil deeds.
Paul uses Israel as the example.

He calls converts to repent and walk in love. He warns them God does not reward
sinner, those who rebel and continue in the ways of the world.

It is not difficult to read or understand.
