"To provoke me to seek deeper"
Angela, married, 9 Kids, you fullfill what it is to be a wife and a mother.

To be a God fearing woman? To be subordinate to her husband, quiet, praying and doing good deeds to fellow believers widows and orphans?
It seems like godfearing women in the Bible are so different than women are in the church now a days.
Where they appear and are promoted in the churches in an ungodly manner, women who believe in their own conviction more than they believe in the Word.
I do agree that there is a lot of error in the Church these days with women out of order. I just want to be clear that I am not contradicting you or resisting what you have shared. Maybe it's not my place to try to be heard or understood but, that is why I keep sharing.

The darkness does not comprehend the light.
God slowly reveals the error so people can give up sins..

The closer we come to Jesus the more we realize how sinful we are. But the great hope knows by faith that Jesus will cover our sins.

You can take two roads.
The righteousness of Jesus is our gift so......1. I can sin without guilt. 2. I allow Jesus to renew a right spirit within me. Be purged with hyssop.
1 not keep the law, 2. Keep the law.

You folks are still trying to use apostle Paul for the purpose of the law. Moses explained the purpose in Deuteronomy. Merry Christmas 🎄

You have a point and I will continue to seek the LORD on this that you have brought up.
Just to be fair... As a wife and mother I need to know Truth to teach my children properly and to be a wise help to my husband. This is the motivation of my heart.
I am sorry if what I have shared has upset you. I did not intend to instigate division or trouble. I only intended to share the things that have brought clarity and peace to me. Also, to make myself vulnerable to correction by the Word.
I will consider prayerfully what you've shared and pray that the LORD will lead me in His Truth and Peace.
I am not judging you, there is so much confusion and delusion, so I can understand that it can be difficult for women of faith to understand what it means to be a Godfearing woman. Do like the Samaritan woman, ask the Lord Jesus the Messiah, the son of God, to drink from the living water, this is given to you for free if you ask and pray for it.

The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;According to all that thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.And the Lord said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. - Deuteronomy 18:15-19 KJV

While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. - Matthew 17:5 KJV

I understand it to be the teaching that Adam and Eve, Cain and Able, Seth, and so on received as they (Adam and Eve) received as they walked with GOD.
Like, how did Able know to do well in his offering and Cain reproved for his. And Noah knew about clean animals at the flood.
This is my reference to transgression. Having a knowledge of the will of God from the beginning and then transgressing from seeking to walk with GOD and transfer that knowledge of Him to the next generation.
I am not trying to correct or argue, I am just trying to share what my reference point is in what I share. I hope that there can be patient and kind responses, as a servant of the LORD is to be Gentle to all and apt to teach.
I would not be here if I did not need some feedback in my faith. We never really know what another person's story is and we could be the one that helps or hurts the situation...
Galatians 3:2-3
2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Galatians 3:18-19
18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

God gave Promises to Abraham. Then Abrahams fleshly seed transgressed against the Grace of God. Thus, the Law was given UNTIL the Lord Jesus came to free His People from that impossible Yoke. The Impossibly Difficult Yoke of attempting to fulfill a Spiritual Law by fleshly, carnal means.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

I have a question. I only ask that you please be patient and kind in answering. I want to see if I may be opposing myself.

I honestly want to know what your understanding is of 1 John3:3-6 and 2 Tim 3:16? and why does Paul refer to the Law to teach a point in 1Cor. 14:34?

These are a few more that are perplexing to me with what is often taught in the mainstream churches. Rom.7:12-16 and vs.21 and 25. and Rom. 3:31.

I hope that there will be some clear, peaceable and easy to understand replies. May the LORD bless each of us with wisdom and understanding to rightly divide the Word of Truth.

Putting it simply.... the law is not made void in the new testament. We are saved by faith in Christs righteousness, and Christ kept the law perfectly. His death did not change the law, He paid the price for transgressing it, freeing us from the law.

Free from the curse if we repent and believe.
Not free to continue in sin.

The moral law has not changed but we can know by faith that the price is paid in full.

If I'm guilty of speeding and get a fine (according to the law). Jesus wants to help me so He.....
.....changes the law so everyone is free to speed.
.....pays the fine for me.

Jesus didn't change the moral law.

Jesus didn't change the moral law.
This what I understand... He came and magnified the Law, bringing it into the heart.

I don't believe Jesus changed the law so everyone is free to sin.
But many people do believe this.
I believe Jesus lived perfectly and kept the law without fault. So that He can pay for our transgression of the law.
By saying Jesus changed the moral law, it allows people to break it and feel that they do not sin. But paul makes it clear...
Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

The sabbath law is the only law that truely identifies the Lord.
Anyone (false gods, kings, people) can ask us to not kill, and not take their name in vain. But only the God that made the heavens and the Earth, can ask us to rest in time.....
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

AMEN!
This is what I understand by being led by the Spirit in His Word and proving everything man tells me.
Sadly, I think many have a knee-jerk reaction to "the Law" or using the OT to teach doctrine, without seeking out all things like the Berean's did and were commended for.
May the LORD give us the Grace to finish well, for we Know it is not by the keeping of the Law that will save us, but to Stay in fellowship with the Father, Through the Son, Led by the Holy Spirit Into all Truth that we may be saved!

I like to say... i don't keep the law to be saved, i keep the law because Jesus has saved me.

The miracle of a tranformed heart is thanks to Jesus and the Holy Spirit in us. We can do all things through Christ.

The old testament is so valuable for us and it is sad that so many discard the gems of truth all through it.

Yes the Torah taught me righteous judgement. Torah also prepares for the much more difficult commands Christ gave us 🙂
