OH NO!! Not another Halloween debate!

I'm very much into naturalistic stuff. With my wild edibles, bush craft, oils, tinctures, and various preserved flowers and plants. You don't want to be travelling with me if I see a field with some wild herbs growing in or around it. I will be parked on the road side and out in the field harvesting. Picking flowers like a hippy. I saw a wild camphor bush the other day and just kneeled down and started putting flowers in my pockets. But I have some camphorated oil at home now.

That's the way to go about it. Wait till after Halloween when all the Halloween merch prices will be cut tremendously. And even more so as more days pass and the inventory remains.

Don't forget Valentines day. Spend and show your love. Can you imagine the diamond sales?

I'm all set with the diamonds but will absolutely be getting flowers and a box of chocolates for my honey on Valentines Day. On Feb 15 I am going to score on the marked down chocolates too, some for me, some for her. I really need candy now.

And there is no such thing as a weed. Dandelion is tea and coffee and greens, and the flower in bloom is when it's yellow is a tasty treat.
Plantain is vitamins B compound and a mosquito repellent.
Curly dock is a wonderful zesty green perfect for wrapping a fish in and baking on a camp fire.
Day flower is a energizing tea, and a tasty nibble while out in the wild.
Hen bit is great in a pesto, or sauteed with other greens.
I can go on and on.

When I was married and times were good between us, we'd buy presents to mail to the fam in time for Christmas. Then we'd go to the local Hallmark and each take a section of the Christmas card selection to find the card we wanted to give one another. We'd hand them over and read each and then put them back. Better than recycling.

We didn't buy presents for ourselves for Christmas day. Instead, we'd grocery shop the day before and then go to this little bungalow we would rent for Christmas eve and day and that was situated in a private area at a gorgeous beach. We'd fix a wonderful meal as our days gift to one another.
Then a couple of days after Christmas we'd separate at the stores and buy one another presents marked down as much as 80%. And wrap them with wrapping paper marked down just as much, after having met at the car with the goodies double bagged so as to not spoil the mutual surprises.

Good ole pine needle tea is a revitalizer when out in the wild lands.
Honey suckle is a great sweet to add to your wild green.
Honey suckle and wood sorrel tossed together with chickweed and green briar tips.

I see those commercials for lawn poisons that include killing one of the best blood purifiers in the yard. Weeds? God's medicine chest! Weeds! Please!
And then that one buys that lawn poison and spreads it on the grass they'd raked clean of the leaves the trees dropped to provide a natural insulation and ground blanket for the cold season.
Then later goes to the pharmacy to fill their prescription for heart med's and blood thinners that risk their lives. When Burdock root and red clover are superior solutions that can be grown in one's own poison free yard. Natural medicine for what ails and that provide less risk for death. Especially due to hemorrhage. And they don't lead to needing more prescriptions to offset the side effects of the heart med's and blood thinners.

Arthritis and gout as well. Coltsfoot is very good also for those healing their lungs and respiratory system after they stop smoking. Both tincture and smoking its flowers, leaves and even the buds.

I use stinging nettle in the capsulized ground powder form. Never had any problems nor were they reported by others.

That is what my kids did, there wasn't a thought of demons in any of our minds. It meant candy and dress up, only and a witches costume was only a costume that had nothing to do with demons.

The Lord tells us not to copy the pagans. The Lord used what we do physically to explain the spiritual. Until the Holy Spirit was given to all, the Lord used physical circumcision to explain belonging to the Lord and keeping ourselves separate. Could it possibly be that the Lord looks at Halloween as copying pagans, or as we look at it, as an innocent pleasure for the children?

Ultimately for Christians, what truly matters is what the Lord thinks about something and not what we feel is right and wrong in our own minds. We can be thinking of Jesus when we do something the Lord hates, but that doesn't change the underlying issue of the problems within the celebration itself. Seek what is pleasing to the Lord yes?

It's easy to decide that something is right or wrong based about how we "feel" or based on our emotions. The problem is our sinful nature has altered our ability to tell right from wrong. That's why we need God to correct our false perceptions. Even if something seems "ok" to us, or "feels right" it can lead ultimately to death. God promises that as we live in a love relationship with Him, He will lead and guide us on the straight path!

I used to be a 4th of July person until I moved to Orlando in 1985. Just to hot to enjoy. I now live in Clearwater which is a few degrees cooler being next to the Gulf of Mexico. The plan is to move to Tennessee next month but the exact location is unknown at this time. Hot there too on the 4th of July. Thousands of jobs depend on the marketing of Halloween, Christmas and Easter. Yes indeed, Buy American. I was at Universal Studios in Orlando one 4th of July and saw an absolutely awesome firework display.

I hear that.....desert living here, but from past experience of living other places, July 4th is hot everywhere,.......at least here we don't have hot AND humid. Only place for a cool 4th is Alaska.

The kids probably are going to get stiffed on 'trick or treating" this year.
The farce of co-ved has no end to its dastardly results.
