He reasserted His divine nature so you are wrong.

37 Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father. 38 But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.” 39 Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp.
That doesn’t mean what you think it says. I’ll show you what Jesus meant from this chapter.

John 17
20“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Jesus is talking about oneness, unity. It’s evident because when Jesus prayed the disciples be in Jesus and his Father, his disciples didn’t become God.

I am seriously beginning to think you are here to
Then show me true scripture containing the truth.
Son of God is not actually in the Greek but it was meant to depict a definite meaning.

Son of God asserts his divinity as it means He is of the same essence as God.

"Only begotten Son" means the only one of His class.

The only God Incarnate.

"Carna" ... meaning flesh.

God in the flesh

Begotten Son means God’s offspring hence the title Son of God and the word begotten.

I did. When Jesus says that I am He, you must think he is affirming His masculinity or something
equally absurd. The Jews knew exactly what He was saying when He claimed to be from above,
older than Abraham, the first and the last, the alpha and the omega, their long awaited Messiah.
You reject it as much as they did. Yes, you really may have picked up stones to stone Him.

Well there is definitely something not right, because Jesus is God and the Spirit within you would lead you to this truth.
This is what should be understood. Until it is revealed, just wasting time. Better used in prayer.

God does not have offspring. The Logos existed before Jesus came to earth.
Simple question. I say Jesus is God’s begotten Son, the Bible says Jesus is God’s begotten Son, but you say Jesus is not God’s begotten Son? Begotten refers to offspring. It doesn’t mean anything else.

Jesus confronted error.
And He also could have opened their understanding. He didn't. And He hasn't here.
He's been confronted. The truth has been planted and watered. This field is flooded. More water isn't going to produce fruit but drown what's already been planted.
Seeds take time to grow. Leave a place for God to work.

Actually, offspring is only relevant if there's a mother and father involved. Begotten Actually is a term for ADOPTION. JESUS IS NOT THE BIOLOGICAL SON OF THE FATHER!

I just want to sort out the assertion that the Pharisees misunderstood Jesus to be claiming He is God and Jesus' alleged insistence that He is not...

the Pharisees, "you're saying you are God?"
Jesus, "No, I'm the Son of God, (just like y'all)."
Pharisees, "Aack! He's lying! stone him!"

Have I sufficiently characterized this argument, or no?

There’s your problem. You refuse to accept the definitions of works apparently. Now Jesus is God’s adopted Son according to you? Would love to see you provide a scripture for that my friend.

Rm is the one who needs to make the place for God to work. We are not preventing him. He prevents himself.

But I do understand what you are saying. Still, such blatant error as his should not be left unchecked.

But we already know Jesus is Lord.

There cannot be a Trinity unless all are co-equal. If Jesus is not co-equal to the Father and Holy Spirit, then who is co-equal to them?
Don’t be afraid of scripture.

1 Corinthians 15
27For “God has put everything under His feet.”Now when it says that everything has been put under Him, this clearly does not include the One who put everything under Him.

Thanks for always being optimistic Cameron. I love that about you. And thank you for always being a voice of reason. You have a calm and gentle temperament that actually makes people enjoy talking to you.

And yes, absolutely, pray for me if that’s what you feel led to do.

Who was Jesus before He became Jesus?

A True offspring is created. Are you saying Jesus is created?

There is this one, too; I shall change the wording to make it all-the-more obvious.

Person One: I am cooking so that I can eat.

Person two: Person One said that cooking is eating.

Person three: No, that is not what they said, meant, hinted at, inferred, suggested, insinuated, implied, or expressed, at all.

Person two: Yes they did! They did, they did, they did! I refuse to believe they did not. I will tell everyone that is what they said.

The only folks I’ve ever met who deny the deity of Jesus are counted among the cults.
