Scripture reveals the gospel message was to be preached to the Jew first. Meaning what was preached would not stop there.

The gospel is first presented to full-fledged Jews and proselytes. (Acts 2:2-38)
It's then carried to Samaritans who were half Jewish and half Gentile. (Acts 8:12-17)
Afterward Philip presented it to the eunuch who many believe was a Gentile proselyte. (one converted to Judaism) (Acts 8:26-38)

As shown the gospel was presented to all those who were Jewish, or in some way affiliated with the Jewish nation before God allowed the same gospel to be carried to the Gentiles. (Acts 10:43-48)

Even the Apostle Paul who accepted the baton from Peter and continued the task of bringing the gospel to the Gentiles indicated his mission was to the Jew first. This proves that whether Jew or Gentile the gospel message was the same:

Believe in Jesus. Repent, turn from sin and to God by being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin, and you will receive the Holy Ghost. It is a promise!

Jews were given the role of being a light and a blessing to the nations by turning the nations from their wickedness and teaching them to do the same works as Abraham by walking in God's way in obedience to His law in accordance with the promise, so the Gospel went out to the Jew first and then to the Gentile so that Jews could have the opportunity to fulfill this role.

.,,to clarify only, repentance comes before water baptism, or Holy Spirit baptism. When one repents and asks Jesus to come into their lives as Lord and Savior, they are baptized with the blood of Jesus by the Holy Spirit which cleanses them of their sins and makes them worthy to be called the children of God and heirs to the Promise. Water baptism is the first ace of obedience after one is saved and baptized by the Holy Spirit.

Receiving the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit comes by one or more sanctified believers laying hands on and praying over a new Christian.

The vast bulk of Jews failed miserably (for centuries) in being "a light" to the Gentiles (even as much of The Church today has failed in being a"a light" to the world)! Rom 2v24, 10v21, 2Chron 36v15,16

Water baptism is the first ace of obedience after one is saved and baptized by the Holy Spirit.

Receiving the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit comes by one or more sanctified believers laying hands on and praying over a new Christian.
The essential elements associated with the NT rebirth are revealed in specific detail in Scripture. They include the following:
Belief in Jesus Christ.
Repentance: A sincere sorrow and willingness to turn away from one's sinful life and to God.
Water: Wherein the stain of sin is removed through obedience to God's command as made possible through the sacrifice of Jesus.
Spirit: Receiving God's gift of His indwelling presence.

Note statements made by Jesus that confirm this truth:

Jesus said, "I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins." John 8:24

Jesus said repentance is a must, "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Luke 13:3

Jesus said, "He who believes and is baptized shall be saved." Mark 16:15-16

Jesus said, "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." John 16:13

Jesus said, "Unless a man is born of water and Spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of God." John 3:3-5

Jesus said, just prior to ascending into heaven, "that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." (Luke 24:47) The connection between His name, repentance, and remission of sin is seen in the first message preached in Jerusalem. Afterward the elements are included in the messages carried forth as I mentioned in the initial post However, as confirmation please see the scriptures that reveal this very truth:

Acts 2:38-39 (Jews) Note the group acknowledged belief in Jesus but did not receive the Holy Ghost at that moment.

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Acts 8:12-17 (Samaritans-half Jewish-half Gentile) Again the group believed in Jesus, and submitted to water baptism but did not receive the Holy Ghost until days later.

"But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
(
For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost."

Acts 8:35-40 (Eunuch)
"Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said,
See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing."

Acts 10:43-48 (Gentiles)
Notice Peter's initial statement, in verse 43, that believers would receive remission of sin through the name of Jesus. The account indicates this occurred for those believers upon obedience to Peter's command in verses 47-48:

43 "To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

As revealed in the above scriptures the elements associated with the NT rebirth are not optional, they are required of all regardless of nationality.

The good kings tends to live for much longer than than the evil kings did, so the Israelites were under a good king for a majority of the time even though there were more evil kings, so while there was room for improvement, they were even farther from failing miserably. In any case, Israel fulfills the role of being a light to the nations either by being an example for the nations to follow or by being an example for the nations to avoid following. For instance, in 1 Corinthians 10:1-13, we should use Israel's disobedience to the Mosaic Law as being an example that we should avoid following, not as an example for us to follow.

"Now the Children of Israel, while they were in the wilderness, were disobedient, and by their disobedience, salvation was gained by the nations."
These words came to me as I slept feeling the Presence of the Holy Spirit all-night, and I understood the meaning and the ramifications immediately.. Israel was and is the Keeper of the Word for all mankind. Now it is here for all making all who believe the true Israel of Yahweh, God.
Now all who believe may be grafted into the original vine becoming eligible to be adopted as sons of Yahweh, God. All wh believe are no those who truly praise Him in spirit and truth. All who believe are become the true Israel of Yah. Praise Him, for He is worthy not we.

Water: Wherein the stain of sin is removed through obedience to God's command as made possible through the sacrifice of Jesus.
Water baptism does not cleanse us of our sin, or save us. ONLY the precious blood of Jesus can do that. Scripture clearly states ONE BAPTISM! That baptism is the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

As for the other statements, I did not disagree with them, other than I think you said something about good works giving us salvation..... No way. Good works are a FRUIT of salvation, not a path to salvation.

Ephesians, Chapter 4:

4There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Now, in the Old Testament times, water was used to cleanse because Jesus had not yet came to preach His Gospel, and to shed His blood on Calvary's cross. BUT, since He died, and was resurrected, and ascended to heaven and sat down at the right hand of God the Father, water does NOT cleanse us of our sin! It is a "witness" to the world, and the church that a person has repented and become a child of God and disciple of Jesus.

The Holy Spirit baptism is invisible to to the eye of man, that is why Jesus told us to be water baptized. So the world and the Church would know we have become a disciple of Jesus and heirs to the Promise.

The law and the prophets were

until John:

since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

….John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: and there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

…… Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:1, 4, 9-11, 14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

before jesus was rejected by Israel then died and rose

“These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Matthew‬ ‭10:5-7

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

After Jesus died and rose

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:18-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

to say this same thing in other words

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬
‭‭
And what did they do ?

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:38-39‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and what then did they do who hears and believe Peter?

“Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:41‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Water: Wherein the stain of sin is removed through obedience to God's command as made possible through the sacrifice of Jesus.
This is completely FALSE. Ordinary water has no spiritual cleansing power, but you continue to promote this heresy.

The "water" of which Christ spoke in John 3:5 is the "water" of the Word of God: That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word (Eph 5:26). This is also "the clean water" mentioned in Ezekiel 36:25: Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

It is repentance that is necessary for the remission of sins: Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord (Acts 3:19). And it is THE BLOOD OF CHRIST which cleanses us from the stain and guilt of sin. Nothing less.

So why is water baptism mentioned in Mark 16:16 and Acts 2:38, as though it is necessary for salvation? Because baptism is a command of Christ for the one who is saved (Mt 28:19), and baptism must IMMEDIATELY follow conversion. This is shown throughout the book of Acts. And salvation is conditioned upon repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 20:21).

It is clear from your comments, as well as others that many fail to grasp the significance of water baptism. The same thing was happening early-on as evidenced by Paul's sharing of the revelation with Christians of Rome. (Rom. 6:3-6)

It's not about the water! Obedience to the command of baptism is for remission of sin, and was instituted by God as part of the foundation required of everyone. Note the comment from Hebrews below that the foundation does not have to be laid AGAIN. This speaks to the fact that it does in fact need to be laid. In addition, the account specifies foundational elements of which baptisms is listed. As such, water baptism is not something man is just obliged to do after being saved, as some suppose, it is an essential element of the NT rebirth. Jesus made it clear that without receiving one's Spiritual rebirth, the NT believer cannot SEE or ENTER the kingdom of God. (John 3:3-5) This is not personal opinion, scripture reveals it is so:

"Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation
OF repentance from dead works,
and of faith toward God,
OF the doctrine of baptisms,
AND of laying on of hands,
AND of resurrection of the dead,
AND of eternal judgment." Heb 6:1-2

Those who neglect to believe and obey God will in the end have built upon sand. Scripture gives an account of believers who received the shock of their lives when Jesus professed He never knew them. Wait! How is that possible? Immediately after the account, Jesus provides an answer. The individuals went about building without having a proper foundation in place before doing so:

"Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and DOETH THEM, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it." Matt 7:22-27

Jesus knows those who have been buried with Him into His death. Scripture reveals when this occurs, it is upon obedience to the command to be baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ. (Rom. 6:3, Col. 2:12)

The command of water baptism in the name of Jesus is for remission of sin and was begun in the NT. It's significance is revealed from many scriptures. A scripture that speaks to its absolute necessity is Acts 19:1-6. Paul actually rebaptized 12 Ephesians in water although they had previously obeyed John's baptism. Why? Because the NT water baptism was instituted after Jesus death, burial and resurrection. Those who believe and obey the command have been buried with Jesus into His death. (Rom. 6:4, Col. 2:12)

I thought it was first to the Hebrew 🤔
Hebrews and Jews are one in the same:

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Gentile)
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith." Rom 1:16-17

You continue to use Acts 3:19 to dispute the need for water baptism. When in fact it was Peter who made that statement shortly after telling people to repent, and commanding them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. (Acts 2:38)

Those who repent are making a choice to turn away from their old life in pursuit of the new one Jesus died to provide. Being reborn/converted involves having one's sins blotted out through belief and obedience to God's command of water baptism and being indwelt with the Holy Ghost. It is the combination of water and Spirit that brings about the reality sought as stated by Jesus and confirmed over and over in scripture. Some just simply reject what is there in plain sight.

I've always understood it to be the case. I am interested in why you disagree and look forward to your thoughts. Thanks.
the hebrews preached the message of Jesus, so there for i feal they should be the one to be seen as the first born, and the ones to be seen as the ones with the circumcision of the heart.

God said he had made no distinction between Jew and gentile. Where as the Jews say first come the Jew

But first come the Jew to be saved is what is ment.

Because the lord god had made no distinction

Simply put the Hebrew was the chosen people to help save them and the Jew is not the supreme chosen of God who think they hold more value, or think Isreal is there land.

Nope Isreal belongs to the Hebrew

And so the Christians are the modern day Hebrew, so the promise is for all.

brother consider this progression look what happens regarding baptism when Jesus shows up

The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; ….John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

And there went out unto him all the land of Judæa, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.( because it’s the baptism of repentance and remission of sins )

(john tells of Jesus who’s about to show up ) I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.

And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. And straightway coming up out of the water,

he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:

and there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:1, 4-5, 8-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Now consider that John had been baptizing in water and Jesus begins to preach

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Then this part no one could receive Jesus spirit until he died and rose and was exalted to heaven

“(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)”
‭‭John‬ ‭7:39‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Now consider how the church began

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:38-39‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Do you see what I’m getting at ? Baptism began at John but wasn’t complete until Jesus was glorified . Now baotism is just like his baptism we are baptized and the. Receive the Holy Spirit like John had foretold

Baptism is one it just wasn’t complete until Jesus died rose and this happened

“This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:32-33‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s why oeter is now saying “ be baptized for remission of sins in Jesus name and you’ll receive the Holy Ghost

Water and spirit testify with the blood baptism is one word from God , one act of faith based on his blood

His blood

“for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26:28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Water for remission and his spirit

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,

and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Baptism hasn’t changed it was a just complete when Jesus ascended and gave his spirit

brother consider this progression look what happens regarding baptism when Jesus shows up

I agree with much of what you've said. If I understand you correctly, where we differ is in the idea that everyone receives the Holy Ghost upon obedience to water baptism in the name of Jesus. I could accept the position if not for scripture that reveals the order in which the essential elements occur differs.

Some individuals received the Holy Ghost before obedience to water baptism. (Acts 10:43-48) While others waited for days after belief and obedience to the command. (Acts 8:12-17) Also noted in Acts 19:1-6, the 12 Ephesians were indwelt by the Holy Ghost when Paul laid hands on them after they believe in Jesus and he rebaptized them in water in the name of the Lord.

Another aspect concerning receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost is mentioned by Jesus in Luke 11:13. He said God will give the Holy Ghost to those who ask. Of course, it is possible that God's answer will come in the form of His leading them to hear the true gospel message.

Notice Peter said those who repent and are baptized in the name of Jesus shall receive the Holy Ghost. Even in light of the scriptures referenced there really is no conflict. All of the accounts provide evidence that the individuals were willing to repent and be water baptized in the name of Jesus.

A while back I prayed about why the sequence would differ. Let me say at the onset that what I am about to share is what I believe was an answer to that prayer. I believe the conversion account of the Samaritans served God's purposes in a number of ways. Consider that Peter was given the keys to the kingdom. As such, it was necessary for him to play a part in the Samaritans rebirth experience. And as for John, it was he who asked Jesus' permission to call down fire from Heaven to destroy those of Samaria who previously rejected Jesus. (Luke 9:52-56) Wow. How powerful was the message directed at John. God actually used John to call down fire from Heaven. But that fire was the gift of the Holy Ghost that brought life not death to the Samaritans.

As for the Gentiles. It is plausible that Peter would have faltered at the idea of water baptizing Gentiles. What prompted this conclusion? Notice Peter's statement that he could not withstand God AFTER seeing the Gentiles filled with the Holy Ghost. (Acts 11:17-18) What was Peter talking about? The answer is seen in what Peter did AFTER the Holy Ghost was given; he commanded the people to be baptized in water in the name of the Lord Jesus. Note the Jews response, "When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life." (Acts 11:18)
