:) Yes some candies are disgusting aren't they ? I like the taste of Chupa Chups and I like some Lindt chocolate.

not familiar with the chupas but Lindt chocolate is good

I have a fondness for those jujubes and similar and yes I have seen the video of how they are made but it seems nothing will dissuade me from my taste for those things

Yeah, I understand, there is a lot of food which I know isn't perfect but it's good enough and has a nice taste, that's just the way it is.

How do we observe that according to scripture? Is that a number or a name?
I believe that is number four in the list of commandments. Says something about remembering that day. It says not to work on that day but then again, what is the definition of work? I wouldn't worry about it as most people think that the 10 commandments are obsolete anyway.

Luke 14

31 Or what king, going out to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and deliberate whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32 And if not, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace.

If we would only refer to scripture rather than the traditions of men. Satan is subtle, and (including myself) we have no understanding of how we are attributing to paganism and calling it Christian. Why do we make light of it, and joke around? What is the spiritual influence? How does our Chreator view these things?
It is the same problem that Paul tried to address in the church at Corinth. Especially with new believers, but even with otherwise mature Christians; the influences of our society compete very effectively with the influences of Scripture.
It shouldn't be that way; but unfortunately it is.
