Why are you asking, don't you believe the scripture? In answer to your question, I have seen it and then seen them turn away.
Yes. I sure do.

You've seen it? What exactly did you see?

Sorry, I didn't meant to be rude. If I remember right, I never advocated that there was a difference between them in the sight of God. So I declined in answering a question that I never instigated. It is my mistake however, because so many people that want to label God's word as more or less important than other things written, according to their liking, usually ask questions that are leading in order to justify their doctrines that they are comfortable with. So with that said, if I instigate a question by stating or commenting about something, if there is a question, the first thing I have to determine is the sincerity of the person asking me the question. If it is leading into conflict I determine very quickly that the person asking the question isn't sincere.

Karraster's post on #110 is the answer, and I agree with her. Acts 15 depicts a starting point for new believers, but they were not supposed to stop there. God doesn't want us to be complacent and say to ourselves. "I'm satisfied and all done with learning more. I'm where I should be, and that's all there is, there ain't no more."

So to answer your question, even though I think it was leading, the difference was that these Gentiles in Acts 15 were new born babies in Christ, and the people Jesus picked to minister to them were not, even though they once were in the same condition. As far as the Jew and Gentile staying that way because of the law is bogus because God is not a respecter of persons.

Romans 10:12 (KJV)
[SUP]12 [/SUP]For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Romans 2:10 (KJV)
[SUP]10 [/SUP]But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

God expects us to grow in understanding, and not to think that anything He has ever said has less impact because of the New Covenant/Testament. After all Jesus taught the Old Testament before His death. Who ya gonna believe?
label gods word, strange it was some of the 12 jesus picked and paul to mention a few.
if god expects us to grow in understanding , that would also mean to grow in understanding to how things change or get change. since jewish christain would also mean new babe in Christ.(because the law saved no one) and since you again miss what a jewish person was suppost to do, regarding the law given to moses. that never changed at that meeting, they still had to follow the full law.
that condition and there spiritual condition had to follow , the full law, give by god to the jewish people.
what did change at this meeting was a gentile did not need to follow the full law.
and since I never asked about growth of understanding, and was looking at root, beginnings. the biggest change since moses read the law to a jewish people, happened at this meeting. to a new testament church/ churches.

and in the parable of the sower , if the seed don't have a root, there will be no growth.

happy easter brother.

Am I to believe there is no change or growth after being born again?

Romans 12:3 (KJV)
[SUP]3 [/SUP]For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

2 Corinthians 10:15 (KJV)
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men's labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly,

1 Peter 2:1-3 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
[SUP]2 [/SUP]As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
[SUP]3 [/SUP]If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

1 Corinthians 3:1-3 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

Passover is almost here. Celebrate His death, our escape from captivity, and His resurrection. He is the living water.

Exodus 15:22-25 (KJV)
[SUP]22 [/SUP]So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
[SUP]25 [/SUP]And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,

Matthew 26:29
29
But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.
Revelation 3:20
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Revelation 19:6-9
6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

I believe these verses are appropriate for Passover. Wow, I can only imagine, sitting at the table in the presence of our LORD.

strange, you will find you need to be jewish, to take part with a jewish family, at the Passover celebration. so I can only guess, you need to be jewish, to celebrate Passover. (ie snip snip).
No snip needed. There is so much of Jesus in the Passover that you can safely celebrate Passover as a Christian.

After all the Passover is symbolically about Jesus death taking our sins on the cross.

The New Testament Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
So, Christ who spoke the Ten Commandments to Israel from Mt. Sinai and gave the Law of Moses on the same mount and then said...

Luk 16:17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

changed His mind, said "My bad" and cancelled it?

Interesting thought, at least to me it is......

Among the Biblical Feast days, there are a few "sabbath" days that are to be taken off from work, and are to be a holy convocation (set apart gathering). As important and monumental as Passover really is, it is not a sabbath day.

The first day of Unleavened Bread is a Sabbath day. The 7th day of it is a Sabbath day. This shows to me that as important as the Passover was, as important as our salvation is, there is still more to the story. How cool is it that after God's miraculous salvation and atonement, Israel is called to rest in the realization that God had chosen them and redeemed them the very next day.
They are to spend the next 7 days (7 is a picture, or a symbol of completion) intentionally eating unleavened bread (a picture of the bread of life without sin). Then after that, they spend the 7th day resting again; resting in what they've eaten over the last week.

The process then becomes:
1) Are you atoned for? If so....
2) Rest in that atonement.
3) Partake of the bread of life completely
4) Once you have done that, rest again in the provision that He is for you.

Anyways, I think that's pretty powerful. Fortunately, I'll be getting those 2 days off in a couple of weeks, and am looking forward to it.

Hallelu-Yah! It's so beautiful to see so many of your speaking of the Passover. :D

I downloaded this Kindle book last year: http://www.amazon.com/Behold-Lamb-O...id=1396405145&sr=8-1&keywords=behold+the+lamb

It's a wonderful Messianic based Seder guide with some recipes for homemade matzo and some readings that are quite nice. I considered going to an official Seder being given in the area, but I feel like it's something I want to share with my family, and my husband is not likely to want to join me at a public get together. It seems right that I be the light on the table, and I feel as if sharing it with non-believers is a form of testimony.

I do have the whole weekend off. I will be attending my daughter's baby shower (A grandson! So many blessings!) that weekend, and will be able to spend both the First day and Second day getting ready for it.

I am interested in recipes and thoughts, or any special foods you'll be buying. I think we will be getting a roast lamb from Costco, and roasting that in the oven with fresh potatoes. I'm going to make some homemade matzo, and buy some ice cream. (mmm...ice cream)

In fact, this is why Yeshua came to "fulfill" the law and not to "abolish." The feasts were "rehearsals" of what was to come, and everything that Messiah did in his life pointed toward "fulfilling" the feast of Peshach. When he returns, he will be fulfilling the fall feasts such as Sukkoth (living among us) and Yom Kippur, day of atonement. Every Christian should be participating in these "rehearsals" so that we will know what is to come. :D The plan laid out in the scriptures is a beautiful, intricate puzzle.

Celebrating Passover is a sin. Eating the Passover feast is a sin. In essence it is saying that the cross is not sufficient.

The reason a person would eat a Passover meal is called stupidity.

What day did He say to do it?
