haha...and of course no man has ever been deceived at any time!

so which is worse, being deceived or sinning on purpose?

at any rate, Jesus became a curse for us when He hung on the cross...you good ole boys sure do like to put women back under a curse

King James only indeed!...you think the KJV is inspired..that is definitely walking out deception
You're argument is with the bible, I didn't say anything I just quoted scripture.

It's not Paul's opinion that women are not to teach or usurp the man, they are commanded to be under obedience... this is also written in the law.

1 Corinthians 14:34 KJV
Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
Where is that by the way? I always get the Genesis verse or the woman wearing mans clothes verse or something similar, do you know?

....all that is covered in the video too....:)...

..got any good slavery scriptures? I can find lots of them both in the OT and NT.

The number one rule in interpreting scripture is to look at the people/person/historical setting to whom the letter was written to at the time...which includes the historical narrative of the times they were in so that you can understand what the letter writer is saying.

To take things from the NT social setting and to put it into our time can sometimes lead to weird things...like women now should not be wearing gold or put on dresses or fixing their hair up. Can you see the legalistic confusion that comes in when you don't take what was happening in the historical setting that the scripture was written?

1 Peter 3:3 (KJV)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
The number one rule in understanding scripture is to NOT iterpret it, just believe what it says even when it goes against what you want it to say.

Ever look up the word "usurp" there in that verse?

I would be curious as to where that is given to men let alone a woman, you know?

u·surp
yo͞oˈsərp/
verb

  • take (a position of power or importance) illegally or by force

So, you advocate that women wear no gold nor fix their hair nor put on clothes then? That's what Peter says...

How about this one...

Exodus 32:33 (NASB)
[SUP]33 [/SUP] The LORD said to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.

This means we are all blotted out of His book because we have all sinned. Do we just believe that scripture?

Yes I thought that well since he says so it must be somewhere in the law, so I asked a Messianic Jew, but it's not in the law that they have to be silent in church. Plus they could prophecy, the daughters of Philip prophecied.
Only thing is Genesis, that the woman will obey her own husband, not the whole muslim world.
He explained that there was a hedge in between, women sat on one side, men on the other and women weren't taught the Torah, only the boys, so they knew nothing and yelled over the fence: HEY WHAT DOES HE MEAN? And I can imagine Paul got as irritated as Benny Hinn got in Holland when they let the children run around during his service and said: SHUT UP!!

This is bordering on insanity.

As usual, I ask you to read Luke 14:26.

You don't have to "ask the Jews" what the Old Testament says...we have very good copies ourselves . :)

1 Ti 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority [SUP]G831[/SUP] over the man, but to be in silence.

Its only used once in the scripture, I have

authenteō

  1. one who with his own hands kills another or himself
  2. one who acts on his own authority, autocratic
  3. an absolute master
  4. to govern, exercise dominion over one
  5. Other examples (shown below) seem to agree in respects to that definition (as to what is not given any of them either).

Mat 20:25 Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles
exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them but it shall not be so among you. whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

2Cr 1:24 Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.

1Peter 5:3 Neither as being lords over [God's] heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

See what I mean?

The video I posted earlier explains all this out. It was a society historical situation to that time and place when Paul wrote to Timothy.

Usurp authority ([FONT="Galatia Sil" !important]αὐθεντεῖν[/FONT])...it only occurs one time in NT scripture.

It occurs in late ecclesiastical writers. The kindred noun [FONT="Galatia Sil" !important]αὐθέντης[/FONT] one who does a thing with his own hand,

The verb means to do a thing one's self; hence, to exercise authority. The A.V. usurp authority is a mistake. Rend. to have or exercise dominion over.

Word Studies in the New Testament.

Sadly enough, many people don't even recognize that our Redeemer has come to bring us out of our carnal thinking. He has given us the mind of Christ! He has given us the Holy Spirit! Now we can begin to get an understanding of spiritual things! These become our life and our dwelling place!

I'm shaking the dust of this carnal contentious thread off of me.
YUCK!! :p

Thats ridiculous man.... believe the bible for exactly what it says or you'll never understand anything to do with Christianity. You have or had a spiritual father, mother, brother and sisters before you came to Christ. Should we not hate them? Of course we should or we will keep running back to them.

John 8:44 KJV
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Galatians 4:25 KJV
For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

Oh no, literally hate your family? Only read it literal if another text doesn't say the opposite.

Ok Deborah was one of the Judges of Israel... I'll give you that :p
Any other example? The office of judge I do not believe exists for God's church :D
No, it doesn't. That's because there are NO OFFICES AT ALL in Christ's Church. Read the epistles..... every writer in his greeting says he's a SERVANT.

Only the KJV uses the word office, & bishop, which is a deliberate mistranslation.

I would suggest that those "authoritarians" quit being KJV Onlyists & read any other good translation out there.

The Lord is good and His mercy endures forever..we are washed clean by the blood of Jesus...love it!

Ahhh..so in other words...you interpreted that scripture in Ex 32:33 with other scriptures...in other words - progressive revelation of the heart of God...that's a great start...:)
