..got any good slavery scriptures? I can find lots of them both in the OT and NT.
The number one rule in interpreting scripture is to look at the people/person/historical setting to whom the letter was written to at the time...which includes the historical narrative of the times they were in so that you can understand what the letter writer is saying.
To take things from the NT social setting and to put it into our time can sometimes lead to weird things...like women now should not be wearing gold or put on dresses or fixing their hair up. Can you see the legalistic confusion that comes in when you don't take what was happening in the historical setting that the scripture was written?

The number one rule in understanding scripture is to NOT iterpret it, just believe what it says even when it goes against what you want it to say.

Yes I thought that well since he says so it must be somewhere in the law, so I asked a Messianic Jew, but it's not in the law that they have to be silent in church. Plus they could prophecy, the daughters of Philip prophecied.
Only thing is Genesis, that the woman will obey her own husband, not the whole muslim world.
He explained that there was a hedge in between, women sat on one side, men on the other and women weren't taught the Torah, only the boys, so they knew nothing and yelled over the fence: HEY WHAT DOES HE MEAN? And I can imagine Paul got as irritated as Benny Hinn got in Holland when they let the children run around during his service and said: SHUT UP!!

- Other examples (shown below) seem to agree in respects to that definition (as to what is not given any of them either).

2Cr 1:24 Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.

Thats ridiculous man.... believe the bible for exactly what it says or you'll never understand anything to do with Christianity. No, it doesn't. That's because there are NO OFFICES AT ALL in Christ's Church. Read the epistles..... every writer in his greeting says he's a SERVANT.
Only the KJV uses the word office, & bishop, which is a deliberate mistranslation.
I would suggest that those "authoritarians" quit being KJV Onlyists & read any other good translation out there.
The Lord is good and His mercy endures forever..we are washed clean by the blood of Jesus...love it!
Ahhh..so in other words...you interpreted that scripture in Ex 32:33 with other scriptures...in other words - progressive revelation of the heart of God...that's a great start...
