Pretty sure he's overlooking at least one thing that Jesus said... to Nicodemus, here:
John 3:12 -
"12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?"
[ (addressed to 'the Church which is His body'--->) [first verse 19's negatives] "...those minding earthly things. 20 For our citizenship exists in the heavens, from whence also we are awaiting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our body of humiliation, conformed to the body of His glory, according to the working enabling Him even to subdue all things to Himself." Earthly things meant Israel's earthly things/things legitimately addressed to/for/about Israel. Note: I'm not saying that everything [100%] in the synoptic gospels is for Israel solely... But do note what Peter stated [to the "ye men of Israel" v.12] in Acts 3:26 and context: "Unto you FIRST God having raised up His Servant Jesus [to a position of prominence during His earthly ministry BEFORE His death], SENT HIM to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities."]
