See, the thread is already off topic and now focused on salvation debates and false teachings and not saying positive things about those you disagree with.

An apology is meaningless if you continue on. This thread will just be another debate thread, like the rest.
Why don't you say something positive about those you disagree with? :)

thank you tourist, you are the first one to post, I hope that BDF forum people can describe at least one thing positive about the opponent they are debating against
That might be a hard thing to do but also entirely possible. Actually, I enjoy most of the peeps there in the BDF regardless of their points of view. That forum has a fascinating assortment of characters. Often amusing as well.

like for example, you wouldn't question the salvation of others just because of disagreements, right?

funny you should say that

I don't do that, but myself and others have been told we are not saved because we do not follow Sabbath worship...current and ongoing...if a person does that several times I add 'em to my ignore list.

this is a nasty card that is played here all too often

let's name at least one positive thing about your opponent you are debating against

what are some ways to be more "positive"?
Every time a give a thumps up to a post, that is saying something positive.
Sorry, but there are some I have not found anything positive to say.
But I do pray for them.

Nehemiah has a well balanced view on what proper tenacity is. Let's keep our perspective balanced
The member is one of my favorite BDF peeps even though I have often disagreed with him and wrote caustic replies for which I am now sorry.

Ok.
Though i disagree with your continuing of the topic in this thread, you did at accept responsibility, respond without anger and apologize for doing so initially. Those are often difficult traits to express, so i would say those are positive traits about You.

I can agree with you on this regarding this member.
Thank you brother. I do consider you a brother in Christ even though we do not always agree.
I know I sometimes come off as being rude, angry, and uncaring, but that is not my intent.
And just because I may condemn what others teach, does not mean I do not love their soul and pray for them.
