Is the prayer to mary and saints biblical or not(bible refrences only plz)
John 14:[SUP]6[/SUP]Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Hebrews 4:[SUP]12 [/SUP]For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. [SUP]13 [/SUP]Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. [SUP]14 [/SUP]Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. [SUP]15 [/SUP]For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. [SUP]16 [/SUP]Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
That is why Jesus is pointed out as the only Mediator between God and men.
1 Timothy 2:[SUP]5 [/SUP]For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
The prayer system is set up so that Jesus searches our hearts to give our intercessions when we pray and knows the mind of the Spirit to give the Spirit's unspeakable intercessions for Him to God the Father, so that in addition to the Son's own intercessions, whenever the father says "Yes" to an intercession, the Son answers the prayer so that the Father may be glorified in the Son and given thanks in Jesus's name for answered prayers.
John 14:[SUP]13 [/SUP]And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. [SUP]14 [/SUP]If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
Neither Mary nor the saints have made those promises to answer prayers and so let us hold to the One that can.
Matthew 28:[SUP]18[/SUP]And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Climbing up any other way in the form of prayer or worship dishonors the Son & the Father that sent Him.
John 10:1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.....[SUP]7 [/SUP]Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. [SUP]8[/SUP]All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
If you pay attention to what they say about praying to Mary & the departed saints, Mary & the departed saints are given credit for answered prayers, thus making Mary & the departed saints thieves as placing them before Jesus in coming to God the Father for answers to their prayers. That is why Jesus is the only way to come to God the Father by in prayer.
