Your ignorance of the nuances of the English language render you unfit for arguing about them.
I think he's trying to say that God only gives grace to the humble believer.
Not the proud believer.

So? If you want to merit grace? You must be humble.
In that case? Grace was merited by one being humble.

Even I got that one. :coffee:

Show me where I am wrong for the Scriptures were given for this purpose (2 Tim 3:16-17).
I already showed you about the continuation in Proverbs that you willfully adverted by cherry picking a solo verse for your own purpose, not of how God had it intended to be, nor how Solomon meant it to be.

This is exactly the point I was making 😊.

It's beyond all logic that nobody is willing to accept that God grace is merited on his part.

Obviously not our part but his.

It lines up everywhere.

Yes a person could say I don't deserve his love after being sorrowed. but God has a away to turn your sorrow into shiny red cheeks that blush with a shy love, God loves a shy a person. I'm very shy at heart.

I believe God's grace is his Good will.

Because his nature merits his will and his grace.

There is nothing unmerited about his Grace, if he gives it you it's merited on his part. Because you have loved him by walking in his obedience.

It's called pleasing God.

It's not called being morbid and walking around everyday thinking you are undeserving of his love everyday.

Which many do here.

No sir we deserve his love.

You have to ask yourself a question, how many times must a person feel they are undeserving of his love,

Surely once is enough 🤔

The word world has many different meanings in Greek and if you are a heretical universalist you will say it means every single person without exception when in fact it most times it means, people from all nations. tribes and tongues in the world without distinction.

Christ indeed, came not to condemn but to save His people from their sin but have you read how He comes the second time?

2Th 1:7 and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,
2Th 1:8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2Th 1:9 These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,
That particular usage of world in verses 16/17 match John's other writings in his epistles I/II/III and he used kosmos or κόσμον which means all of creation.

If He used Noah to preach to them it was for the greater condemnation just as the Gospel both saves as well as condemns people today.

2Co 2:14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
2Co 2:15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.
2Co 2:16 To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things?
The fact is GOD gave those people another 120 years to change their ways. And they chose to reject God. Just like verse 17 in John chapter 3 points out Jesus Died so "ALL MIGHT BE SAVED." Might be Saved is a contingency for the willing. If you're willing you will head to the Word of God. If you're not willing you will reject the Word of God. Free Will is something you should be learning more about rather than your reformed doctrines.

You deserved him before the cross when you where in the garden of eden walking around innocent with no shame of who you where, or who your father was.

Jesus was loving you then,

Listen, he never stopped loving you.

You still deserve his love, he hasn't changed, you did in the garden.

The change of opposing opinions on what we deserve is on mans part.

The fact that he clothed you after the garden meant, you never stopped being deserving of his love.

What a person has to do, is love back by walking in obedience.

Which as the scripture says draw nearer to him and he will draw nearer to you.

James 4:8

New International Version

8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Again this is asking you do something for him to save you.

What is being taught in this thread and many other threads is hyper grace buddy.

I would of stopped long ago replying,

But I haven't because certain people involved, I have threated as my own.

But now for the first in weeks of this clear rejection of scripture, Im making it known hyper grace is being taught.
My friend it amazes me how much you have grown and how close and in tuned you are to him you speak his heart so elegantly the look of pride is on his face I can see it in my minds eye

You are going to do great and amazing things just wait and see.

In our fallen state? ..... Yes, we do not deserve Him.
But, what God always knew He was to make us to become?
...... He saw us as worth dying for!!!!!!!!!!

there is a difference!
You know you don't have to yell calm down. I say fallen state because before we chose him we were just sinners wandering through life searching for him and we didn't even know it.

It all comes back to him the reason for living the reason for purpose as we wander in life

If fallen state is not the correct term then I apologize but there is no need to yell like that

Hes a bit of a monkey at times going bananas 😋

Maybe we should give him some attention and tell him what a wonderful monkey he is.

Other wise he may just start swinging from the trees soon.

The atheist only has knowledge of the spirit of man which is in him. H cannot know the things of God unless the Spirit of God dwells within him (1 Cor 2:11).
Who said "do not commit murder"? Does an atheist know murder is wrong?

Just because an unbeliever cannot know spiritual matters doesn't mean he cannot discern between right and wrong, good or evil. There is a moral and ethical component to life as well both of which can be traced back to God.

These are not atheist, but are disobedient children of God.
So God shows them He does in fact exist through the natural creation at which point they say "no you do not" (exchanged the creator for the creature) but you think these are believers. o_O

The only thing this type of person believed in was themself.

Check Strong's concordance and you will find that saved=delivered. The children of God are delivered on the cross, with the promise of an eternal inheritance, and He will not lose any of them (John 6:37-40).
Huh? This has nothing to do with my discussion with Cameron. I have no idea what you think it is I said that is wrong.

That's how cherry picking works..

(and how total depravity works when the flesh gets into the act.)

By the way?

Its not, "godly sorrow" in the Greek...

Better translated... Its... "sorrow as God would have it."

For, our sorrow is not at all godly.

Rather, we experienced sorrow because we were not being godly.

Sloppy translations cause emotionally sloppy thinking in believers...
That's the main problem we face in the body of Christ today.

grace and peace .................

If you didn't deserve his love in your fallen state than why did he clothe you.

If you didn't deserve him in your fallen state than why are you still here.

The thing is you are still his child even in your fallen state and God wishes none would perish and all would be saved.

There has to be something about God that still loves people in there fallen state.

He gave his son for people in there fallen state.

And quit your winning, I never struck you, I simply rebuked you.
