John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
Thats the elect, all of them. Drawing is their conversion to Faith. You know all without exception doesnt become converts to Christ duh. Are you a universalst ?

Do you not believe that one needs the Holy Spirit in order to believe?
Correct. The Corinthians had been given the Spirit, Paul stated that 1 Cor 2:10-13

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

So they were not in the flesh, one is not in the flesh if they have the Spirit Rom 8:9

9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

But the unregenerate person is in the flesh, Period

Well that's your personal take but my bible tells me the opposite, so with all due respect I must reject your view as being false and stick to what God said. Thank you.

Let's see how you twist these verses to support your Arminian doctrine. The verse clearly say Gods elect were chosen before the foundation of the world and you must accept that fact or deny Gods Word. There's no wiggle room here.

Ephesians 1:4-6

just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
He chose us how? "In" Him.
Not, for Him. Not, by Him.

Its an odd way of saying something...
For it means something many keep on missing to see.

Where was Eve's body before Adam was given his helpmate? Her body was "in" Adam.
And, the Bride of Christ?
We are going to become Bone of His everlasting bones, and Glorious flesh of His Glorious flesh.
We are right now "in" Him. In Christ!

Ephesians 1:4-6 means?
The people in the Body of Christ - the Church - was chosen before the Foundation of the world to be the Church!

Moses was not chosen before the foundation of the world to be found IN Christ when he believed. Nor was David...
Or any OT believer for that matter.

God chose out of all He knew would believe to be in Him.. Us, to be the Church! The Body of Christ!
To do so?

God predestined us to be living during the Church age when it came time for us to believe.

That's our predestination.......

In Christ, GeneZ

Only problem with that is that the word "elect" is not found in the passage.

I am a bible believer.

1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Remember the warnings of Christ, that many will claim to know Him but He didn't know them and study the meaning of the parable of the sower.
The parable of the sower?
Only one did not believe.

19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it,
the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart.

18 “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. 22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”

It says that the others are saved. But only one of the seeds made right choices after being saved.

The others who believed (and were saved) displeased the Lord because they quit seeking to mature in Christ.
These ones will be denied rewards when it comes time to distribute eternal rewards. (1 Cor 3:11-15)

23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it.
This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”

The last seed like the others accepts the Word and believes.....
But he does not stop there.
He keeps expanding in his knowledge of the more and more of what is to be believed.
He produces in his soul (soil) a lush crop of wisdom and understanding and becomes self sustaining as he lives off its harvest in Christ.

Some seeds just want to concentrate on a single plant.
And, will badger everyone who does not see it his way.

But..

We can not eat tulips to sustain life...

Your choice is to either believe what God said about Himself or deny it, the choice is yours. But you don't get to chose who God saves, that's His private business and nobody has any right to meddle in it.
YOU KEEP MEDDLING! Keep away!

only because Christ has set me free!
But you are free...

Your depravity (flesh) is controlled by God so that your soul can have free will when you are walking in the Spirit.
You have regained free will that way. (You are free not to believe that)

If there were such a thing as "total depravity?"
Then, is so? Even if God controlled and silenced your flesh?
Your soul would keep on rejecting God!!!

Therefore... Its not total depravity!

Depravity? Yes!
Total?
No way!
Then no soul could ever become saved!

We need "balance." The depravity of man. Not, total depravity.

TULIP is a total imbalance that Arminianism improvised and tried to jump on the other side of the scale to level things off.

Dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord,
But a just weight is His delight.
When pride comes, then comes shame;
But with the humble is wisdom.
The integrity of the upright will guide them,
But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them."
Proverbs 11:1-3

Again:
Men by nature are unwilling and at enmity against God, will not and cant submit to God. So if a person becomes willing, then thats indicative God has changed them, saved them and given them a new heart.
And, that's it? No understanding how its to be dealt with??????

Just fold your arms and lock onto a thought?

. That means God meets you half way and you have to make the leap of faith and jump into the sea of Gallie and Jesus will catch you. So it's a joint effort salvation which relies on your faith and obedience.
What about this road where the lord met someone half way

The Damascus Road: Saul Converted
9 Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest 2 and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

Acts 9

3 As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. 4 Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”

5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?”

Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. [a]It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”

6 So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?”

Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

If people claim to have read the Bible multiple times but only accept and live by 6% of it denying the rest. Let them. They will be educated when they stand before God and have all Eternity to figure it out.

These “about twelve” believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, and yet, did not have the Holy Spirit when they believed. They received the Holy Spirit later when Paul laid his hands on them.

Acts 19
1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
7 And all the men were about twelve.

That means the Tax collector had been given a new heart.

If he would have been left in nature, then:

Men by nature are unwilling and at enmity against God, will not and cant submit to God. So if a person becomes willing, then that's indicative God has changed them, saved them and given them a new heart.

Rom 8:7
