The only thing I'm ascribing is the heart where Jesus lives.

If Jesus lives there, the shield loves there, the sword lives there his fortress lives there.

So is the heart still naturally wicked.

Can I trust my new heart.

You've answered no i can not trust my heart.

And you've answered the heart is naturally wicked.

Do you wish to correct your answers now.
Do you realize that our salvation in this age does not eradicate our sin nature, and that this eradication will occur only in our glorified state?

In Ephesians 3, Paul prays a prayer. In verse 17, he prays that Christ may dwell in their hearts by faith. In the previous verse, by what or who is an individual strengthened in the inner man this way?

The bible is quite clear that those who are saved have Jesus living in the heart.

If you guard your heart you don't sin.

Or if you live in your heart you don't sin

Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil,

So a saved person should have the works of the devil destroyed in them.

For the one who practises sin is of the devil.

If however you live in your head that's full of fairy tails and constantly on the end of fairytales then you will sin.

If your fruits blossom into self control are you agoing to keep on practicing sin with Jesus living in your heart

And don't start preaching sinless perfection to counter act.your argument.

It won't wash with me.

For those who carry on to practise sin are of the devil.

It may be you could slip up and sin.

But that's about it, but then the spirit should convict you to repent, and you should not sin that sin no more.

And if you talk to much you will sin also

So I would advice you to listen and stop talking to much.

that's a 100 percent clear rejection again from you.

Do you think Paul's prayer was just a wishful prayer 🤔

Would Paul pray for Christ to live in someone else's heart if he didn't know Christ could.

Besides I have lots more scriptures.

I've lost count of how many errors you've made in this thread buddy

You didn't answer the question. I wasn't suggesting that Christ can't dwell in their hearts richly. Can you please answer the question?

No, you can't trust your own heart...Jeremiah 17:9.
Of course not. But He is only controlling the heart as we walk in the Spirit. The rest of the time it is you in charge.
Where getting further and further away from the truth here with your questions.

You said I can't trust my heart.

Then you say I can only trust it when I'm walking in the spirit.

My faith does not work that way.

You don't walk in the spirit temporarily when the spirit is residing in you.

Either the spirit destroys the works of the devil in you or it doesn't.

If you carry on to practice sin then your not saved.

If you slip up and sin then that's a different story.

If you stumble that's different story.

Should you sin the same sin the next day if your saved.

when your talking about being on recieving end of temptation, then no that's not a sin.

When we you use temptation to cause someone to stumble it is a sin.

You made the statement temptation is not a sin.

Temptation is a sin.

Temptation is also evil intent.
You stated that temptation is not a sin, but then you say (as a correction) that temptation is a sin.

Do you see how your statements are confusing? By not specifying clearly the sense in which you are using the term, "temptation", you are actually saying things that are incorrect.

So, let's clarify:

Being tempted to sin is not sinful. Tempting others to sin is sinful.

no I do not, I'm dealing with people like yourself, finding excuses.

Temptation is a sin.

Being on the recieving end of temptation, as say, the friggin devil whispering in your ear with friggin temptation is not a sin.

Tempting somebody with evil intent is a sin.

Temptation is also evil intent.

Temptation is a sin.

Never say the lord as tempted you,

When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone

Why does he not tempt anyone 🤔

Well because temptation is a sin.

What does the devil do, well he's called the tempter.

And well he's full of sin.

What happens when temptation gets a hold, well it gives birth to sin.

But not just sin

Temptation is also evil intent.
Can't disagree with that

If someone is always under the direct control of the Spirit and commits a sin, what other conclusion is there?
well there's many ways in which you can sin.

But you said do you realise the spirit has lead you into sin, with what I've just said.

Firstly this is just a total cop out.

Secondly I'm not going to commit any grave sins,

If I am going to sin. It's going to be, because someone has drugged me up.

Or I have got drunk. And drank to much.

Which im not going to do.

Then there's other ways I could sin,

i could ignore temptation. And not listen to Jesus in my heart.

well I can tell you each and every time temptation strikes, Jesus in my heart alerts me.

so the spirit is walking in me. I don't walk in the spirit temporarily when it suits. I don't sin and then say dang I wasn't walking in the spirit.

if I was to sin it would more likely be I lost my cool and lost control speaking to wind up merchants.

but then no the spirit trained me there also.

so then as long as I live in my heart i don't sin. That's where Jesus lives.

if I was to get drunk however I would not be sober in mind, and I can no longer be alert to temptation. Or the dangling of carrots. Or the attempts to find fault. Or the attempts to have Me Seen as not a Christian. By people who says the first thoughts that come into there head. arguing over the law and works, who don't think and don't give you time to think.

the lord says brush your feet with such people

so then I would sin. Because yeah the devil wants me to sin oh and he wants to steal my seed.

but no Jesus has trained me.

so no I won't get drunk and I will not sin.

so yes I will know when temptation strikes.

oh and yes I'm aware and fully aware I'm speaking for the lord.

because I practice what i preach through seeking my heart.

oh and I live there 24 7.

its my heart it belongs to me.

its guarded it's protected. It speaks to me, always. Brings me joy.

Oh it has me seeking all the time.

It brings me sweet dreams.

And I love my heart

Oh and I can trust.

You don't know it only God does

You missed the whole point. To walk in the Spirit is to be under the influence of the Spirit. It is impossible for the Spirit to lead you into sin. Consequently, when you sin, you are under your influence, not His. That means your heart apart from the influence of the Spirit remains the source of your sinfulness. You can come to terms with this or not. But unless you do, you won't experience what real obedience is and consists in.

look I'm not making excuses for sin, and none of what you say negates from what you said which is I can not trust my heart.

The only way Jesus can not not get though to the mind of the believer, is when the believer is no longer sober in the mind.

So no this is not that I'm no longer walking in the spirit it's a case that the spirit is not able to keep me alert and vigilant.

The spirit walks in your life. Jesus walks in your life.

Just quit looking for excuses buddy,

Listen very carefully buddy the lords prayer is to to stop you from sinning.

The lord stops you from sinning, because the lord is walking in your life and living in your heart.

I'm not a zombie.

And i don't walk in the spirit when it suits.

And you've answered the heart is naturally wicked.
Let's start by saying naturally the heart is wicked. But can be made spiritually alive.

"The heart is naturally wicked" can be traced back to bible passages that discuss the inherent sinfulness of human nature, often referred to as the "sin nature." This is rooted in the understanding that humanity, following the fall of Adam and Eve in Genesis, has been in a state of rebellion against God, with sin affecting every part of human nature, including the heart. Here's how this idea is presented in Scripture and tied to the notion of the sin nature:

Jeremiah 17:9
: Perhaps the most direct biblical statement about the condition of the human heart is found in Jeremiah 17:9, which says, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" This verse shows the corruption of the human heart, suggesting that it is fundamentally inclined towards deceit and wickedness, a condition that is not easily understood or remedied by human means.
Genesis 6:5: Early in the biblical narrative, Genesis 6:5 describes God's observation of humanity's wickedness: "And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." This verse, set in the context of the events leading up to the flood, underscores the pervasive impact of sin on human thoughts and intentions.
Romans 7:18-20: The Apostle Paul provides insight into the struggle with the sin nature in his letter to the Romans. He writes, "For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not." Paul's reflection on his own experience illustrates the internal conflict between the desire to do good and the inclination towards sin that resides within human nature.
Ephesians 2:1-3: Paul further describes the condition of humanity apart from Christ, stating, "And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others." This passage indicates that the sin nature results in spiritual death and separation from God, with human beings living in accordance with their sinful desires and inclinations.

The biblical narrative portrays the human heart as inherently affected by sin, a condition that is universal and deeply rooted in what is often termed the "sin nature." This nature is characterized by a propensity towards rebellion against God and moral corruption. However, the biblical message also offers hope through the possibility of transformation. Through faith in Jesus Christ, individuals can experience a new birth (John 3:3-7), receiving a new heart (Ezekiel 36:26) and the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9-11), which empowers them to overcome the sin nature and live in accordance with God's will.
