the verse is thou shalt not murder, there is a different between murder and kill. and the bible says you dont have to eat meat, if you really think you are murdering animals then you don't have to :) If you really dont want to murder apples and oranges then thats fine too, but you're running out of options :p

I have explained that to she or he twice now. she or he never seems to get it because then her or his argument against the bible would fail. I doubt she or he is interested in facts, advice or answers of any kind.

Once again you do not know what you are saying. The hebrew word translated into "kill" is actually a legal term for murder. The King James says "kill" but modern day translations have fixed this. Here are some examples of this:

So if it's truly "thou shalt not murder", why didn't it just say that? If it says "kill" why wouldn't that mean "kill"? Isn't it just possible that mankind changed the meaning of the word? I mean, come on, we create new words all the time. It's the evolution of human language. Who's to say that the word didn't get changed?

If it is against God to "murder" apples, oranges, herbs, etc then can someone explain to me how we would stay alive?

Eating fruit is not murder...
Genesis 1:29 And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.

Killing animals for food is not murder...
Genesis 9:3
Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything.

Exodus 20:13 – Thou shalt not kill. Does it say "humans"??? no. It says "Thou shalt not kill" PERIOD. That means ANYTHING.
In the original Hebrew "thou shalt not kill" is: "lo-lo-loh raw-tsakh", yes the word is "kill," but by definition, thou shalt not wantonly kill a human, i.e., thou shalt not murder.

The hebrew is saying this but you refuse to accept it.

This is from Strong's exhaustive concordance:

1) to murder, slay, kill
a) (Qal) to murder, slay
1) premeditated
2) accidental
3) as avenger
4) slayer (intentional) (participle)
b) (Niphal) to be slain
c) (Piel)
1) to murder, assassinate
2) murderer, assassin (participle)(subst)
d) (Pual) to be killed

Clearly this implies homicide. Now I already know you will not accept this, no matter how many times it is explained to you because you have an agenda. All your posts include questions about scripture which you clearly and obstinately maintain your extreme interpretation. No doubt you are trying to discredit the bible. My guess is you are an atheist with an axe to grind with this site or with Christians in general. Proof of this is in your bizarre stance that the bible even forbids "killing" plants for food.

I hope you find Jesus before it is too late. Salvation is free and easy to accept with a single prayer of repentance. Or you can continue this charade. The choice is yours.

So rape victims are trolls. There's no way that I can read the Bible one way? I'm somehow less of a human being because I was raped? You're a horrible human being.
I am very sorry to hear you were raped. But if you conceive, then murdering the baby doesn't make it right. It makes it two very bad wrongs. I don't know if you are in the situation now, or in the past, but post abortion syndrome is something that is so rarely dealt with in the media, and it is very real, and tremendously damaging. You are hurting yourself if you abort the baby. A dead child and a double PTSD mother!

As for a scripture that shows God considers us to be his children in the womb:

"For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them." Psalm 139:13-16

Please send me a PM if you want to talk about what you are going through. I will try not to judge, and we can talk about alternatives, like open adoptions and other ways of keeping in touch with your baby. And maybe talk about getting some help for the damage the rape did to you. God loves you and I want you to know I care.

I perfectly understand. Despite the hatred that spews from your mouth, thank you for explaining. And to the actual kind person on this site, thank you for trying to explain to this evil being that my questions are for a deeper understanding. Yes, I've been burned in the past by having many many scripture verses used against me, and so I take a literal understanding to the word. Afterall, it's higher than what we humans can understand fully. Therefore, who's to say that this is the ONLY way it can be interpretted.

I know you don't care at all about me or others like myself and that we're not worthy of breathing or learning about the Bible, but I pray that God will open your heart and let you trust others, just like I try to, and get burned still by people like you.

I truly appreciate it, however I never did conceive. I would love to speak with you, and I thank you for your kind words. The point I bring from the conceiving through rape is a "I didn't, but if I had, why would God damn me for something like that." Myself, I'm not sure I could ever get an abortion, but I don't believe my opinions should be forced upon someone else. Much less that of my religion if we are to accept other religions for other people. :) God Bless.

God did said not to kill, but He also said not to judge. When a young girl that made a mistake by conceiving a child without plans and knowingly that she is in a world that doesn't help others when they are in need for help, but they judge others instead by calling them a fool for lying down with someone that isn't financial and mentally stable to raise a child. So basically the judges, greedy, and the selfish ones has aborted the child. I believe that everyone have to clean up their act in order for everyone to do what is right.

Welfare reform refers to changes in the operation of a given welfare system. The term often denotes reforms that are more aligned with neo-liberal polices. In the United States, the term was used to get Congress to enact the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Act, which further reduced aid to the poor, to reduce government deficit spending without coining money.

The press quotes all sorts of figures for the number of monthly job gains needed to keep up with population growth. We see numbers like 80,000, 100,000, 125,000 and 175,000 thrown around like statistical snow as the number of jobs needed each month just to keep up. What's the right one? How many jobs are needed each month just to keep up with population growth?

Washington – Alaska's senators are joining a growing group of lawmakers urging President Obama to rescind a recent executive order granting pay increases to Congress and other federal officials, saying the move doesn't jibe with the country's debt crisis.

[h=2]Who Should Be Responsible for Welfare?[/h]The debate still continues over who should be responsible for the welfare of destitute old people, disabled persons, and poor single mothers and their children.
1. Divide into small groups to discuss the four different positions on the responsibility for welfare that are listed below.
2. Each group should decide which position is the best and report its conclusions and reasons to the rest of the class.
3. The class should then vote on the four choices.
4. Finally, each student should write an editorial explaining why his or her choice is the most preferable.
[h=3]Positions[/h]A. Welfare should be a national government responsibility so that needy single mothers of dependent children, elderly, and disabled persons in every part of the country can get support when they meet certain qualifications.
B. Welfare should be a state government responsibility so that each of the 50 states will be free to design its own qualifications and levels of support.
C. Welfare should be the responsibility of charities, churches, and other non-profit groups.
D. There should be no welfare. Individuals should take care of themselves with the help of their families, friends, and neighbors.

The Lord is not a stupid and fake hippie " peace and love " Lord who would even be a Satan hugger ! Besides, the Light is at a time of great spiritual warfare against the diabolical forces of darkness for millenniums !
The Lord hates sodomite abomination, so does every true Christian !
Like it or not !

It's not though is it. Some people on here hate homosexuality and are quite callous and open about it.

The ten commandments are just the branches of the two root commandments : " And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment " Mark 12:30 " And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. " Mark 12:31

If you love yourself for the Lord's sake, then you are able to love your neighbor as yourself, or else it would be hypocrisy and fake love and self destruction. And there's so much hypocrisy and fake love nowadays in this mundane world.
Personally I prefer to meet an open enemy than to meet a false friend. Authenticity is best !

So if you love yourself and you are able to love your neighbor as yourself you cannot hurt him/her for your neighbor abides in your heart just as you abide in Jesus Heart.

So to not kill is not about not killing a plant or an animal, it's about not doing any harm to one's neighbor ! My neighbor is not a plant or an animal !
My neighbor is my human friend made at the image of Jesus !
Hitler and Judas Iscariot are not my neighbors, they are my enemies ! ( yes, enemies exist ! Let's not be afraid to express the right words ! )

Jesus is my neighbor ! Peter is my neighbor ! They are my friends, my allies ! And even Ponce Pilate will be my neighbor ! if he was the only judge, Jesus would not have been crucified. Ponce Pilate didn't know what he was doing, but Jesus had something in him and He will save him I know for certain.

So to answer the post, pro death people are pro satan people, because death results from the diabolical power of Satan.
It doesn't matter pro death people praise the name of Satan or not. If they love the diabolical power of death, then they love the prince of death, who is Satan, plain and simple !

But then does that not mean that we as Christians worship Satan as well? Your info seems very cut-dry and to the point, that there are no exceptions.... My question is what happens when having the child would kill the mother? She has a complication during the pregnancy and going full term would kill her. We say that she should rejoice at this news because it means she can die a painful death and abandon a child... Abortion is NEVER the answer? That's where my question comes in. Everytime I've read the Bible (which is multiple times) the Holy Spirit has always guided me towards looking into each situation as it is and that God has different levels of tolerance just like we humans should. For example, what's the different between these two cases? A woman is dead. The male killed her. If he's an adult, we say it was murder and he should burn in hell. If the mother died during childbirth, then it's ok suddenly. They still caused the woman to die. A man robs a bank and he should burn in hell. A toddler takes candy from the store, oh, it's ok. There are gray areas in everything, just like in the topic of abortion.

Do I believe it should be used as regular birth control? absolutely not. Would I ever have an abortion? Probably not. Can I force my religion on someone else and make medical decisions for them? Absolutely not.

not all pro-choicer's worship satan
Sure they do...

Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

They might not think so, nor do they admit it, but if it walks like a duck...

Murder is not a religious or medical issue. It is a legal issue. By restricting abortions it will prevent the murder of infants. No one is forcing any medical decisions on those who are pregnant. Abortions are executions, not medical procedures. You are alive today because your mother did not choose to have you aborted.

It is wrong to force religion on anyone. I would never force anyone to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior because we all must chose this of our own free will.

Again, if it comes down to a mother will die during childbirth due to complications, how can you decide who lives or dies? Why does her life mean nothing?
