The Romans stoped ruling when their empire fell to pieces. Germany, Italy, and others trie to rebuild it and failed many times.

The Roman Empire fell in 476 AD.

But the religion of Caesar worship continued as the Roman Catholic Church (RCC).

Under the rule of the Bishop of Rome (man is god, holy father), Rome continued to persecute and commit genocide against the people of Israel.

Rome has now become a nation again. In 1929 the iron Roman beast crawled out from the abyss (place of the dead), and
was reborn as a nation, among the gentile nations again.

heh one of those kingdoms that make up the statue has a unique form of government.

a democratic republic. strength mixed with weakness, like iron with clay, rulers elected out of the people by popular vote: organized mob rule, with the rallying cry '
vox populi, vod dei!'

that system itself waned, and resurged.

from that point of view, the whole western democratic world is your Rome, in ten toes/kingdoms, ruled by a parliamentary system, individually & globally, rather than by a single monarch: a crown, a head. no - rather, a number of heads, a number of crowns, yet one beast.

Our only purpose for being here was to serve Israel even in Rev. 15 I think I read where we were here for only a short span.

Daniel 7 speaks of four beast.
John, in Revelation 13, sees, not four beasts, but one beast.

Not a leopard, but like a leopard—possessing all its cunning, cruelty and speed.
But it also possessed the dominant characteristics of the two other most powerful beasts
—the feet of a bear, and the mouth of a lion. Daniel’s fourth beast, the Roman Empire,
had absorbed and therefore it included the three beasts before it.

It all so has seven heads. Each one of a nation but the beast itself is made up of the best qualities of the seven.

mr Deacon can u save us all the guessing and just reveal this mystery to us.

my guess is that the empire to be wounded was the roman empire, am i right??????
Hello Muzungu256,

"One of the heads of the beast appeared to be fatally wounded. But the mortal wound was healed, and the whole world was astonished and followed the beast." - Rev.13:3

"The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. They are also seven kings. Five are fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come; but when he does come, he must remain for only a little while. - Rev.17:9-11

"The beast that was, and now is not, is himself an eighth king. He belongs to the other seven and is going into destruction."

"They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon (that is, Destroyer)."

The word "Beast" is used to represent both that last day kingdom, as well as the ruler of that kingdom, which is that beast who once was, now is not and yet will come. Those seven kings mentioned were a succession of kings, where at the time that John was receiving this information from the angel five had already fallen and number six was ruling "one is." The seventh king had not yet come and was therefore future to John, but is in the past to us.

The beast who once was, now is not and yet will come, refers to the following:

Once was = The beast once was out in the world and not in the Abyss

Now is not = The beast is currently not in the world, but is in the Abyss

And yet will come
= The beast is currently in the Abyss and will be coming out of it again

The designation of "beast" is referring to the fallen angel currently in the Abyss, whose name is Abaddon/Apollyon and will be coming up out of the Abyss at the sounding of the 5th trumpet/1st woe. That this beast/fallen angel "once was" is most likely in reference to him being a power behind some political or military leader in the past, in the same manner as the prince of Persia who delayed the angel sent to Daniel, which was speaking of the angelic prinipality behind the human prince of Persia. In the same way, when this angel comes up out of the Abyss, he will be the empowerment behind the antichrist, that man of lawlessness. He is the same one who will kill the two witnesses when he comes up out of the Abyss.

We know that the beast is referring to the ruler of that last day kingdom, which will be the antichrist who will be empowered by that angel who comes up out of the Abyss:

"But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur." - Rev.19:20

When the Lord returns to the earth to end the age, the beast and the false prophet, "the two of them" will be captured and thrown "Alive" into the lake of fire. This is obviously speaking about two individuals who will be thrown into the lake of fire and not a kingdom.

All that said, this antichrist/beast will be that head, that eighth king who receives the fatal wound. The Greek word behind Fatal or mortal infers a "death stroke," i.e. it is not something that is survivable, which he does survive, which is why the inhabitants of the earth will be in awe of him. This will be apart of the miracles, signs and wonders that is meant to deceive the inhabitants of the earth in support of his claim of being God. At the same time, that second beast, who is also referred to as the false prophet, will be performing miracles, signs and wonders on behalf of the first beast, i.e. to give the first beast credibility in his claim of being God (2 Thes.2:4)

Therefore, the beast that receives the fatal wound, is not referring to the kingdom of Rome and its revival, but that beast that comes up from the Abyss who once was in the world, now is not and yet will come.

Ok people here is the seven heads

1 Democracy. A government where the majority makes the decisions by voting

2 Republic A government where people choose other people to make decisions for them

3 Communism A government where all people are "equal"

4 Autocracy A government where one person makes all the rules

5 Oligarchy A government where decisions ar made by a group of the "elite" ( intelligence / Rae /money )

6 Theocracy A government where laws are made by God, but interpreted by a religious figure

7 Fascism A government where the nation comes before the individual. Most of the power is focused on the government and usually one leader. Strict laws and punishment exist to keep the law.

The third beast:
6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.

Now we come to the United States. Although the leopard is not our symbol, we resemble it in many ways and I think Daniel pretty much thought so also. I think Daniel saw the U.S. as a nation swift to retaliate but still cautious. The four wings would show our air seniority that includes the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force. You will notice that instead of eagles wings depicting wind driven force, here we are confronted the wings of the fowl, powered flight is suggested. The four heads are the governing powers which are the executive branch, the legislative branch, the judicial branch, and the people of these United States. The press themselves call themselves the fourth estate but this is not true although they try with all their might to form public opinion. The United States is the only super power left in the world today that holds strong ties to Israel. We know that the US is so strong that no nation can overthrow it so I must now inject the scripture taken from 2 Thes 2:7 to illustrate our nations demise.
