A quarrelsome wife is as annoying
as constant dripping on a rainy day.
(Proverbs 27:15-16).
●▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬●

Quarrelsome nagging, a steady stream of unwanted advice, is a form of torture. People nag because they think they're not getting through, but nagging hinders communication more than it helps. When tempted to engage in this destructive habit, stop and examine your motives. Are you more concerned about yourself-getting your way, being right-than about the person you are pretending to help? If you are truly concerned about other people, think of a more effective way to get through to them. Surprise them with words of patience and love, and see what happens.

Yeah, women are so annoying. If only they would shut up like they have been commanded and leave all the clever stuff to us men.....

"Let the women learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." (I Timothy 2:11-14)

This wasn't posted to point out women. It was pointing at quarrelsome nagging people. Quarrelsome nagging, a steady stream of unwanted advice, is a form of torture. People nag because they think they're not getting through, but nagging hinders communication more than it helps. This could be both men and women.

What? You quoted a scripture and then try to distance yourself from it because it is clearly immoral?

What are you doing?

Here is an example of how we might take God's word out of context, or just taken part of whats talked about in trying to make a point.

Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them (Colossians 3:18-19).

As I've notice from this verse, to submit is also to love. So many men have taken this out of context not understanding we too must submit. Even if it meant submitting to our Lord. Which is also in loving your wife.

It was a scripture I've used, but the context was on quarrelsome and nagging. Which is not something that's just on women. In that scripture it was addressing the wife. But in whole aren't we all the bride of Christ? Just saying!

Sorry - still don't accept your defense.

You say that to submit to christ is exactly what is says - to obey unfailingly

But the same word appled to a woman only means that she must love her husband. And that she must not necessarly obey him?????

You're making this up as you go, methinks.

nothing is immoral about God's word. what you directed it to, was not my point in the post.
