I honestly don't know. Can you please show me the verses? Thanks
Hebrews 12:1

When Jesus was raised from the dead, He brought many from Paradise (those righteous from the Law (some mentioned in Chapter 11)) with Him.

Mat 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
Mat 27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Your interpretations contradict other scriptures. You got something wrong. That's the bottom
line. Allow me to post ALL of John 3:13 and ask YOU a question.
Joh 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven,
even the Son of man which is in heaven.

So, Jesus was in heaven when He said this or was He on the earth? He said He is in heaven.
Or is the interpretation not right here? No one ascended to heaven....ON HIS OWN.
Enoch, Elijah, and the two witnesses, didn't have the power to ascend up, but are
taken up. Jesus has the power to ascend up, because He came down from there.
But two DID go up, with God's help, and two will go up, with God's help, in their body,
into heaven in a cloud. Just who do you think is in that cloud? The same one in the cloud
that lead the jews in the wilderness and was in the cloud at Mt Sinai. The same one who
ascended up into the cloud on His own.
I don't understand your logic

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. [SUP]2 [/SUP]I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. [SUP]3 [/SUP]And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now(not before) the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them
Rev22:1-3
[SUP]40 [/SUP]For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”
John 6:40

When is the last day?

I thought most Christians these days accepted that you do not immediately dwell in Heaven with God upon dying in the body/flesh

Why hasn't anyone told Jesus this yet? He seems to think its coming later.

Cfultz3, those verses mention saints sleeping, not a cloud of witnesses. I have no problem with that.

Elizabeth, are you sure about that? The New Heavens and the New Earth will be, forgive me, Heaven on Earth, a paradise without sin. Is that what you see when you look around you?

No. Jesus knew this. People have perverted the scriptures and if one would look closely one would see that.

They were the saints (holy ones) of the Old Testament who rose with Jesus.

Last day of what? The two witnesses get an early start don't they!

Mark, I liked Trax's post because it's hilarious. Trax is making a joke.

Elizabeth, the New Heaven and the New Earth will be our final destination. That much is plain. Show me verses that say otherwise. I've read Randy Alcorn's book "Heaven", which explores in great detail every verse etc. relating to Heaven and the New Heaven and the New Earth. It's very helpful.

mmm have to disagree since Hades and Death have not been cast in the lake of Fire which happens before the establishment of the New Heaven and New Earth.

we're at the point where Satan, God and Magog are deceiving the world and gathering to launch the final battle.

Revelation 20
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison [SUP]8 [/SUP]and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea.

No, its the same earth still, with the same ancient structures. People still dying as usual.
Rev 20:14-15 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
(15) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

That's going to happen first, and before that the 1000 year reign of Jesus, and before that
Jesus has to return. You see, when God does it, we aren't going to miss it or confuse it.
When Jesus returns, no one is going to say, "He's back, when did that happen?"

There are two schools of thought: one is that this earth will be recommissioned and restructered. Then there are those that believe that God will totally wipe this world out and make a brand new earth.
I believe the heaven will be totally new--but what what about the New Earth?
it says that the first heaven and earth passes away.. so I tend to think that means God will totally wipe this world out and make a new earth and place the Heavenly Jeruselum on it.
[h=3]Revelation 21[/h]
21 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. [SUP]2 [/SUP]Then I, John,[SUP][a][/SUP] saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. [SUP]3 [/SUP]And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. [SUP]4 [/SUP]And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.

Well, there is that whole thing at the beginning of Revelation where it says these things will happen SOON, and the time is near.
Yet I cannot understand why people think all this stuff happens over 2000 years later.

To be honest Tintin the beliefs of many on the internet, are certainly not reflective of the vast majorirty of churchgoers(over 90% in fact)
And the demands made by some on the internet are not made by the ministers from the pulpit(not in the UK anyway, and I doubt many in the states either)Mark

guesswork only(Abiding)

No its the truth Abiding. The ministers in the Trinitarian churches in Britain do not make the extra bbilical demands from, the pulpit that some people make on the internet, and the consequences if they are not accepted. I rather doubt many do in the states either
The figure of 90% of churchgoers is a conservative one, it is probabloy far higher than that
Take this website for instance, the vast majority of Trinitarians on it, have not publically stated(to the best of my knowledge) v person must belierve Christ is the one true God unto salvation
Sorry, but this is predominantly an internet thing(and even a minority of those on the internet), the ministers tend to understand the spiritual reality

Maybe, but remember He already prophecied the earth and the heavens to be destroyed or vanish
a few times in OT prophecies that have been fulfilled.

And seems to me its still here, so maybe we can agree its prophetic judgement talk
not to be taken literally

Ill say it for the third time.
1 this site like other sites get the wide variety of the church in general...nothing different here just more openness
2 Noone really anywhere preaches the Gospel saying Jesus is God so pray that....thats just your bone in the throat.
3 you would get the same thing you get online if you ran around all the churches all over the world with the same
