Can a human believe in another human for salvation and eternal life, I think NOT!

We either accept Jesus for who He declares Himself to be or we have a counterfeit Jesus who was just another human being, unable to live a perfect life, perfect in love and truth, fulfill the law and die and rise from the dead.

I think MacArthur nails it in this video before he became a lordship salvationist.

Paul says Jesus is Both in 2 sentences:

Titus 2:
13 waiting for ... the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us

John 17:3 And this is eternal life, that they know you [Father] the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

1 Cor 8:6 yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.

The ONLY begotten son

Why are people denying that Jesus is Gods son? Isnt that what muslims believe?

I think both posters are right here but really just unable to see the third way....

or maybe they are holding to different translations? I read KJV and its has always said Jesus is Gods Son, Jesus is Lord, Jesus is the Messiah though I dont remember scripture saying Jesus is God. Maybe it does in other translations.

Jesus did live a perfect life, fulfilled the law, died for our sins, and God raised him from the dead. He is the "second man," the "last Adam." The first Adam failed, condemning himself and all his progeny (everyone) to death. Jesus Christ did not fail, and gave his life for the sin and sins of mankind.

i went back and looked at what you presented.
let's say you are correct.
Jesus can be called God because He represents God.

but here's the kicker:
Paul, calls Him our GREAT GOD

that is past representation position and into the hardcore fact that Jesus is the literal GREAT GOD!

Anti-Christs dont believe Jesus came in the flesh or was crucified, died for our sins and rose again

Jesus didnt raise himself. God the Father raised him right? Or are some saying Jesus did EVERYTHING by himself?

I just want to know why ppl are getting so confused

God is the Father of Jesus Christ. God, through an act of creation, caused Mary to become pregnant with a man who was the Christ, the Son of God, God's anointed.

When Jesus says that he gives eternal life, he is saying that he has the power to do it, the same power as the Father. Then he makes an even bolder claim that he and Father God are one. Jesus is claiming to be God here. If you don't believe this and think he's a liar, then admit it. But don't make up some religion saying that you believe in Jesus but that you don't believe he's God. For over 100 years, we've seen right through this facade.

Face it, friend, the one who has you in his grasp has already been defeated. You may as well come over to the winning team.

Jesus declares in this very passage that the father is greater than he is.

So when Jesus says befor Abraham I am,

What exactly does that mean.

Does it mean Jesus was greater than the father.

Could it mean Jesus was with the father in the beginning ? Possibly

As Christ and Jesus seems to mean two different meanings.

But Since Jesus is saying no one can snatch my children out of my fathers hands, then who is keeping his children in eternal life.

Look it up in Bible Hub, only the KJV translation has 'THE great God and our saviour Jesus Christ'

The other translations in English all conflate this verse to 'our great God and saviour Jesus Christ'

Is the KJV wrong?

I mainly quote the KJV on here because most people accept it, but I also use several other translations.
