Now put that with this;

Romans 9:6-8
6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Now you can see that those who were physically circumcised weren't necessarily Israel.

Israel are the children of God. Those who are circumcised of the Heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter, whose praise is not of men but of God.

Christians...

Galatians 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Yep

i was just again going back to wher God instituted circumcision

I am sure abraham circumcised Ishmael as his son.

it had a purpose. Thats all I am saying

yep, everyone here knows this

but we are talking about the abrahamic covenant. Please keep on topic
Jesus fulfilled the Abrahamic covenant. This is what Roams 11 is about. The inclusion of the gentiles.

You are pitting your interpretation against mine... and nothing more.
False. I'm urging you to take the chapter of scripture you CLAIM to be standing on and accept it. (the entire chapter)
You appear unwilling to do so.
God's plans are God's plans not my interpretation.

17 If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, 18 do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: you do not support the root, but the root supports you. 19 You will say then, ‘Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.’ 20 Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.

22 Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. 23 And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 24 After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree!

25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, 26 and in this way[e] all Israel will be saved. As it is written:
‘The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
27 And this is[f] my covenant with them
when I take away their sins.’[g]
28 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, 29 for
God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. 30 Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, 31 so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now[h] receive mercy as a result of God’s mercy to you. 32 For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.

DO you think the book of Revelation is a lie?

“And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.” Revelation 21:14 (KJV 1900)
You gave no answer to my question🙂

If circumcision was a shadow and the Law was a shadow why would you think that the earthly promise to physical Israel was not ALSO a shadow?
Because God said I give you this and forever. As an eternal promise, and through this promise he would show the nations of the world he was God

He also made it specific in prophesy that Israel would rebel. He would punish them as he said he wold in Lev 26, But even then, he will NEVER forget them, and he will never forsake them, and he will ALWAYS remember his promise he made to them through their fathers. And that even AFTER he completely removes them from the land. They will repent, and he WILL remember his promise and in doing this, he WILL restor them.

why would I want to take these prophesies and somehow claim these are prophesies concerning the church, not Israel?

God does not go back on his promises.

and yes, He does use them as a symbol. To prove to the world you do what I ask, and live the way I want you to live, YOU WILL BE BLESSED.

And God will establish this truth through them still. Just like the prophets said he would.

Jesus fulfilled the Abrahamic covenant. This is what Roams 11 is about. The inclusion of the gentiles.
You hurt yourself almost every time you make a statement

The abrahamic covenant continues to be fulfilled today as we speak It is not done it is not completed. It continues.

It is an eternal promise, not a conditional one

the new covenant fulfills the mosaic covenant, thats why it is called new, The abrahamic covenant is still being fulfilled. God is still making abraham a father of many nations and still blessing the world through his son, and he STILL will keep his promise he made concerning a nation of people.

The 12 tribes are in Christ as a foundation of the Church. Christians are the Church, thus members of the 12 tribes.
Every time the phrase “twelve tribes” is used in Scripture, it is a reference to the entire nation of Israel, God’s physical people and never Jewish believers. Ever. To use it in this manner contradicts Scripture.

This is not true. In the New Covenant Jesus is both Judah and Israel reunited. Matthew and Paul both identify him as Israel.

Romans 11 is about Jesus fulfilling the promise to Abraham. Note:

“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” 2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV 1900)

Romans 11 is speaking of a future events Concerning two groups of people (the natural and unnatural branches or jew and gentile)

If romans 11 is about the abrahamic covenant, by your own admission the covenant is not yet fulfilled completely but is ongoing

thank you

Personally, I'd rather not argue. But bless those who take interest in my posts.
In other words,

You want to talk to people who agree with you. Not to those who disagree and may be able to show you some things.

Your one sided. Closed minded. whcih makes us wonder, why are you in a bible discussion forum when you d not want to discuss the Bible. But push your views on what YOU THINK the Bible says?

The principles of election are not based upon natural advantages. Not all the descendants of Jacob(Israel) are Israel. It's always based upon a promise of God. Ishmael was excluded from the promise God gave to Abraham. He is a type of the flesh. Isaac was chosen over Esau. He is the child of promise. God elected it that way. Election is never based upon human accomplishment. Jacob and Esau had the same father, but one had to be elected to carry out the promise of the seed. Election is God exercising his choice. God never elects anyone unto salvation. None.
Are you inferring that some of the elect are not going to heaven?

God has only ONE people, Israel in Christ. He has no other group.
Romans 11 says otherwise

As do most of the OT

God has a nation of saved/unsaved people he calls his own

and he has a family f believers who consists of all nations he calls his own.

you can’t see this, because you do not wish to..

sorry, God keeps his promises..

Which elect
the elect nation or the elect children?

We see in exodus may of the left nation will not be headed to heaven, they died in the wilderness Because of unbelief
