But, what if going into the Catholic Confessional Booth (In truth, very little different than what many Protestants swear "repentance" is,) is not what those two were saying to the people?

What if they were saying: "This sacrificing of animals isn't going to work anymore, and you are going to have to look at a new way of thinking about having your sins forgiven." ?
They weren't.

"I am the way, the truth, and the life." "No one comes to the Father, except through me." kind of sounds like He was telling them that there was now a new way to seek forgiveness, and that animal sacrifices weren't going to work anymore.

One who does not repent will never have saving faith,

having said that, repent mean something different than most think.

You're sure right there. If a person does not decide to make Christ their Lord by changing their mind from whatever they trusted in previously, they can't be saved.

Amen,

we trust self before we repent, that's all we have, and that is the worlds way

until we repent and stop trusting self, we will never fully trust God,

either God means what what he said, or he does not and he needs our help,

John preached repent, & Jesus preached repent, & believe the gospel.

The difference was the gospel.

Both preached repentance.

In OT & NT, repentance was preached.

The type of repentance was the godly sorrowful kind. (the Bible version)

I agree that God never had to turn from sin because He doesn't sin at all, and never will. Nevertheless, He doesn't change His mind either. Total perfection doesn't need to do that.
I agree. God is simply showing us His heart, and His attitude toward the evils of mankind. Looking at different translations often helps bring a fuller understanding to the Word :)

So the LORD was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart.

Amen,

we trust self before we repent, that's all we have, and that is the worlds way

until we repent and stop trusting self, we will never fully trust God,

either God means what what he said, or he does not and he needs our help,
after trusting God then we have an agape love. What happen in James folk is they say they trust in Jesus/repent, not trust self anymore, but do not have love, they may have a love in a word but not in action. James say it is deceitful

Jame 2
16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?

we may say bless you and we love you brother to the nake and hungered, but we not sacrificed our blanket and food, do we love him? Or we lie?

i believe that is what James question.
