But how many of us can stay on our knees and in the Word 24/7?
Some have to work in a very wicked world every day.
I will say that after I retired and moved 20 miles out into the forrest it has been much easier to resist the flesh.
As much as I agree, I'm sure you also understand that affliction is to build patience which builds character (if we handle affliction as God wants us too)

Something that i'm learning to do myself now rather than complain haha..it's so much better.

Jesus washed the disciples feet because they needed only to have that part cleaned in their daily walk. The rest was clean by grace through the blood. Peter when he asked to be washed all over was told by Jesus he did not understand what was going on and that is so much like many today.

In effect, here is what you said: "Phil your standard of holiness isn't the same as the bible. It is like the pharisees because they didn't see their sin either, because you must not be telling the truth when you say you don't sin."

In a nutshell, that's what you said with that statement. That is calling me a liar. I know bible and I know what sin is. You are aware of that yet you say that I adhere to a different standard of holiness than the bible.
No one on this board makes any more effort to be accurate biblically than I.
Why do you desire so much to make it seem like you have to sin?
If you folks that sin periodically and at regular intervals would put as much effort into not sinning as you do denying the veracity of Christs' instructions you would probably be able to put that aside too.

Hebrews 12:1 "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us"

There are witnesses, people watching you. Put your sin down and get serious about your salvation.
Get real Phil. By the same standard you use...you are saying my view of sin is unbiblical.
That doesn't mean I will call you a liar. It is a given people have different views on these matters...at least I backed my view of what sin is with Scripture.
Forgive me Phil for being so sharp with my tongue (one of the sins I had to repent of tonight) :)
