Revelation most certainly does identify those 144,000 as belonging to the twelve tribes of Israel. These are the first fruits to God out of Israel. Why do people introduce such things, attempting to make a distinction between Israel and being a Jew? The bottom line is that, they are twelve thousand from each of the twelve tribes, minus Dan, which is replaced by Manasseh.
The word "Saint" is not unique to the church. There will be Gentile saints who will be on earth after the church has been gathered and who will go through the great tribulation who are not the church. We are told right in the scripture who this group of 144,000 are, which are from the twelve tribes of Israel and therefore they cannot be the church. Furthermore, the church will have already been gathered and will not be on the earth during the time when these 144,000 are sealed.
The scripture identifies this group of 144,000 from the twelve tribes of Israel and you magically turn them into the church. How about that they are 144,000 saints from the twelve tribes of Israel just as the scripture states? The group described after the 144,000 wearing white robes which no man can count are Gentile saints and are also not the church.
If Christ set them apart as new creatures called saints how could they not be of the church, the bride of Christ?
What are those saints if they are not the church, Christ chaste virgin bride, another wife? ?
When He comes it will be on the last day the work will be two fold when this present creation will be rolled up like a scroll and go up in flames. The same day for the judgment of those who know not Christ all in the twinkling of the eye..
The law will not enter the new Promised Land. It will vanish when the old heaven and earth disappears out of sight. There will be no literal reign of Christ on this corrupted earth. We no longer know him after the flesh as if He was a man to begin with. .The demonstration is over the reformation has come. It will not be where some have their new incorruptible bodies and other have not.
The 144,000 is a number that no man
can number... seeing it is a metaphor of the whole church as the eternal bride of Christ. The thousand on the end of the word; "one hundred and forty four thousand" represent a number that represents the chaste virgin bride of Christ. She is shown as the mother of us all in Revelation 12.
It’s not about the flesh of any man, never was never could be. Christ said of his own flesh it could never profit as a spiritual unseen work .The word thousand is always used to represent an unknowable in that way. .The one hundred and forty four, is tribes and twelve apostles both together. 12 x 12 = 144
There is no reason why would make it about one of the metaphors (tribes) and not both together... Tribes and apostles.
That is unless some want to glory in the flesh and not the Spirit of Christ, the Holy Spirit of God for some reason or other.
And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.Rev 12:1
