I read the original post, he said nothing that is not known to be true by most Christians, and he made sense, even later explaining that he believed that God does heal, yet the man was attacked like he had proclaimed that Jesus was not the Son of God. Also the attitude of the attackers was similar to the attitude of those in the NT who attacked Jesus. The attackers actually changed what he had posted so they could be more vehement in their attacks...what is Christian about that?

Some people do make what I call questionable claims, some are outright unbalanced.
One "pentecostal" woman was making all sorts of claims - she asked if she was wrong for rebuking the sun for shining in her eyes while she was driving her car.
I said she should be checking the rear view mirror more often to watch out for two men in white coats driving a white van....

By the way, concerning one of the two individuals mentioned, the lady whose neighbor's cat spoke to her, she also claims that God punishes those who speak against her. She has claimed men have died over remarks made to her about her claims. Pretty good tactic to protect her cover.
Additionally, she is not a member of a local fellowship, therefore she is not under authority and accountability. Her attitude definitely reflects her headstrong nature. She claims to be a prophet as well.
Concerning Balaam's donkey, I will allow that God caused a donkey to speak to a false prophet. If someone wants to self-identify as a false prophet, I will consider that an animal may have spoken to them. I'll go that far
I have sympathy for the mentally ill who make such claims, but 1) I don't think all those who make false claims are mentally ill but are trying to exalt themselves with such claims and 2) if people flock to such individuals as wise teachers, it needs to be called out.

Jesus said we could raise the dead, heal the sick, cast out devils, and more.
Just cause you are in unbelief over something Jesus said we could do does not mean everyone else is.

According to Luke 16:16, Jesus said He was preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom so this is also applicable to us since we too are in God's Kingdom having been born again IN CHRIST.
I know you cannot raise the dead if God called upon you to do so because you are in unbelief on this subject... but others can if they believe since it's the Lord that is actually raising the dead thru people and not people themselves doing it.

Jesus was the One healing thru the Apostles... it was not the Apostles doing the healing.
Apostle means "sent of God" so unless you believe God does not send people out to preach the Gospel anymore, then yes there are in fact Apostles today.
The difference obviously is, Apostles today are not bringing "new revelation" that cannot already be found in God's Word that was brought by the original Apostles (12 minus Judas, plus Paul)
That's a correct call since scripture says women cannot usurp authority over men. The Lord had me leave a church over this after I carefully studied this issue from the Word.

There is Pentecostal the denomination and then there are independent Pentecostals who tend to be more liberal in what they believe. And Ive seen it all,trust me,I have some stories. Its easy enough with a little discernment to tell whether someone is off the beam or telling the truth. What they do doesn't take anything away from those who have seen real miracles.
I've also been accused of thwarting the work of the Holy Spirit here as a tool of Satan by someone in the chat room because I am pessimistic about the odd claims in the room. Some may find that amusing; because I am not willing to jump on board with their odd claims I am a tool of Satan thwarting the Holy Spirit on this chat site.

God has the power to be the way maker and he also has the power to give Gifts
Now lets look at this God sees a little child being Bullied being Raped abused mentally daily and blackmailed and hated and then alsmost murdered... daily that child was mentaliy mind tortured by voices..
Now ill tell you the voices of which i speak off.. and this is the truth...
The child was so scared that when the child was raped it sent an automatic message to God through the saints that over watch infants..
The child became so scared that they got scared of the out doors and aldults never went out the house for two years..
Then the child suffered mental torture on top.. during the war soilders who where captured had secret tiny hearing aids planted in there head or ears..
Theese hearing aids could play a voice so low that only you hear it and no one else..
They where linked to a wirless device that could talk to you when close enough.. they where also used as having a commander in charge of your conversation...
Like the police man who gives a witness inside information whilst on a mission to bring justice.. the police could tell the witness or detective what to ask or say withoput anyone else hearing..

The nuts don't intimidate me, and there are good conversations as well as those that involve ridiculous assertions. I am a big boy and I can handle criticism. Including yours
I've stated my views on what you seem to have issues with but I didn't do it at the expense of another member. I directed my discussion toward you and brought up the issues you have with you not someone who isn't here. They have a right to defend themselves instead of someone calling them out behind their back
Ask the individuals if I've commented on their positions in the past. Others in the chat room have also addressed their claims.
I'm not claiming they all have mental issues. In fact, if they had mental issues, that would be more preferable than trying to exalt themselves by making such claims. At least the person with mental issues is innocent.
Either way, such claims need to be addressed. Are you as concerned with seekers who will think that Christians are a bunch of nuts who play fantasy games with one another? I am. I'm concerned with seekers more than professed believers who make such claims.
Seekers would have every reason to think so, hearing some of the conversations I've heard. Like I said, it's a cause of doubt for me personally sometimes. But I realize not everyone who claims to be a Christian is a Christian, and I also know God personally revealed Himself to me in my salvation experience, so those facts keep me anchored despite the lunacy I hear from some in the chat room.

a lot of your experiences and have had a few in very similar ways...
this is a very evil world, with very evil intentions by the majority who run and rule
and use the darkness to control this planet...but it takes eyes to see and ears to hear,

Whats clear is Gifts i dont think you can know for sure if someone is making an outlandish claim on the internet or call them loons for such claims..

I went from the Baptist to the Charismatics because I though the Baptist were draging their feet and not getting with the program. I enjoyed the worship service in the Charismatic church I joined and I liked the people, however I soon found some disturbing things. They often preached how they believed the entire bible, however in practice I found that they had no problem ignoring places in the bible that did not agree with what they wanted to think and do. Also, there was this attitude that God was doing great things in their midst, when it was just not happening, all kinds of stories always of miracles that were never confirmed. Maybe a person who likes to hear stories and just believe would be happy there, I am the kind of person who checks things out to the tiny details, because I really want to know the truth. I found most of what was happening to be fake, and pretense. I left that very Pentecostal church to a tiny little church where the Pastor did believe in the gifts of the Spirit, however the service was more like the Baptist. I found that God REALLY did things there for people and no one was pretending.
