1 John 2:4-

Whoever says "I know Him" but does not keep His commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in that person.
Not sure how you mean this....tell me, just what are His commandments?

Rom 7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
Rom 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
Rom 7:3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
Rom 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
Rom 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
Rom 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
Rom 7:8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
Rom 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
Rom 7:10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
Rom 7:11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
Rom 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Rom 7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

These verses helped me to understand the law, because some stated that it is dead or we no longer need to keep the law. But what it is saying is that we are no longer under the consequences of the law like a woman with a dead husband she is free to marry again. We are free from the penalty of sin (The law calls us sinners or points out our sin) because Jesus paid for our sins in full. The laws are Good and are still in place but Jesus has given us freedom from the penalty of breaking them (No longer a burden). So yes we are free from the law but if i love Jesus i will choose to obey the law and die to self.

What God calls holy, righteous, perfect, true, eternal, prosporous and unchanging, the vast majority of christianity calls invalid.

AMEN to your post. We are free from the law of sin and death which is not God's law, but rather the law of the carnal mind and of the flesh. Thanks for posting the truth.

This might come as a big surprise to you, but heaven isn't what the world says it is. You don't immediately go on to some other place the second after you die. That's just what the catholic church teaches, and how popular culture portrays the afterlife. But it's not what the Bible teaches. Just letting you know, in case you ever want to persue the truth.

We are GOD's workmanship created unto good works so if we are GOD's workmanship we will keep his commandments.

Really?
The Sabbath is one of the 10 ... I am worry if someone HUMAN claim it is not valid after God had said it will be written in our hearts according the New C. So, I think the God is the same and these 10 are inside me.
Am I wrong? I have found an interesting article here.

LOL wrong on the Sabbath and now wrong on the after life. When we die we go to be with Christ which is far better (Phil 1.23), we are absent from the body, present with the Lord (2 Cor 5.7), we live and reign with Him in Heaven (Eph 2.5-6; Rev 20.4-5)

There is a division in the Christian community regarding what is required and what is desired by God for man's earthly rest.

1. Some say that God clearly requires a Friday sunset - Saturday sunset Sabbath.
2. Others say that God desires this Saturday Sabbath for us and blesses that specific day.
3. Others say that God desires a weekly day of rest, and blesses those who rest one day per week.
4. Others say that we are to ignore the idea entirely.

Which views are appropriate, and which views oppose Scripture?
I believe the Lord wants us to get a day of rest each week. I don't think he wants us to be legalistic about it. Just get a day of rest, or two half days, or four quarter days, or whatever. The sabbath is for our benefit. Remember what Jesus said:

[27] And he said to them, "The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath;
[28] so the Son of man is lord even of the sabbath." Mark 2:27-28 RSV

Eliwood is back I see. He loves his Sabbath even though he feels free to lie to set up IDs after being banned with false information.

I cannot figure out why God would kill people for violating his sabbath one minute, and be perfectly fine with them breaking it now, because Jesus died for our sins.

That's like saying: "My wife bailed me out of jail after I was caught drinking while intoxicated. Now I'm gonna go get drunk, and get behind the wheel again, since I've been forgiven. I'm sure the police won't care this time."

Yes, a man who lies to set up new usernames to evade bans is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

I see you're back, eliwood.

The "soul sleep" view is hardly bulletproof. Paul said that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. If this is true, it cannot be talking about the resurrection, as the resurrection involves the original body being resurrected and glorified.

Herbert Armstrong held a view called "spirit resurrection" which denied the bodily resurrection, therefore he was unable to realize the error of his theology. He held the Jehovah's witness view of "spirit resurrection" rather than a bodily resurrection.

His view, in essence, denied the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, claiming that Jesus was "spiritually resurrected" which makes absolutely no sense. The spiritual body, pneumatikos, is a glorified body but is stilll a bady. It has characteristics of spirit in that it is incorruptible, but is still a body. His anthropomorphic view of God affected his bad theology as well.

Better quit watching Restored Church of God videos and getting your theology from the cults.

mwc68, before you watch his video, be forwarned that the guy in the video is a disciple of Herbert Armstrong.

Armstrong was a cult leader who taught much heresy. While the arguments sound reasonable they can be refuted easily.

I was a member of their parent organization for over 10 years. Danel, who is eliwood, refers to their materials constantly.
