A spiritually dead person can Hear the Gospel and choose to believe or shut their ears like we see both cases in Acts.

That means once the Gospel is preached the ears are opened and you can choose to believe or reject.

That is 100% Bible Fact.
Scripture? With context?

Thanks

I agree that salvation is a free gift! Absolutely - see Ephesians 2:8

I think, though, that the last sentence would be better better stated as something like this: We are privileged to believe in Jesus and his death and resurrection and then to live a life of realness and relationship with God.

"All we are required to do is accept it by faith" in my view is a very poor presentation of Christianity.
There is an important distinction that many miss.

Ephesians 2:8
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.

Our salvation is a free gift as you have said, by grace and only by grace.

Salvation is by grace but is received through the instrument of faith and does not include works.

The poor representation of Christianity is the gospel itself.

If you wish to discuss living out that grace, then that is a discussion for another day.

54 Now when they heard these things they were enraged, and they ground their teeth at him

57 But they cried out with a loud voice and stopped their ears and rushed together at him.

Those who stoned Stephen to death were spiritually DEAD and could hear and chose to shut their ears.

a yeah th scripture says it but no single verses never say but what they say ….

“I know that you are Abraham’s descendants. Yet you are looking for a way to kill me, because you have no room for my word.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:37‬ ‭NIV‬‬
KJV says "no place in you". That is consistent with not being able to hear because they are not Jesus's sheep.

[Jhn 8:37 KJV] 37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

It’s pretty obvious why they didn’t hear him isn’t it ? As he was teaching they repeatedly asked about what Moses said trying to accuse him ….because they had no room for his word they already thought the law of Moses was all there would ever be
It is obvious because Jesus explicitly told them: they could not hear because they were not of His sheep.

Moses words blinded them to his
they had no room for new doctrine they trusted in the law instead
No. they could not hear because they weren't His sheep.

[Jhn 8:43-47 KJV]
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? [even] because ye cannot hear my word.
44 Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 And because I tell [you] the truth, ye believe me not.
46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear [them] not, because ye are not of God.

Hmmm, please explain.
The gift of Spirit is the promise of the Father foretold of by Joel and witnessed the day of Pentecost. It was what Jesus told the disciples to wait for in Jerusalem. It purpose is both as a seal as well as a witness to the authenticity of the work of God, and in certain cases enables works of ministry. It is an outward display of the Spirit and easily noticed by anyone in attendance. Scripturally, we find it spoken of in Ephesians 1:13.
Conversely, the indwelling of the Spirit begins in the process of salvation which pricks the heart and facilitates hearing. We see an example of this in Acts 2:37. Rather than being an outward operation, it is an inward work that facilitates salvation. Scripturally, we find this in 1 Corinthians 12:13.

I'm a Christian. Therefore I believe, in case you didn't know.

Now since we got that, would you rephrase your question? Some questions are obvious.
Well if God did not force you, and you're a Christian, it means at some point in the process you yielded to God or accepted His Gift from Him.

Do you realize Scripture teaches two types of calling?

Do you know what they are?

Oh and look at post #85. :) which @rogerg wrote.

We know Jews could not understand Parables and Paul claimed

“God gave them a spirit of stupor,
eyes that would not see
and ears that would not hear,
down to this very day.”

So try again!

Is that supposed to be an answer?
It removes what Roger is using from the equation because of this condition God placed upon the Jews in communicating with Jesus. It does not apply to anyone but the Jews.

No, not just to the Jews, but to all who are not His sheep:

[2Co 4:3-5 KJV]
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

[1Co 2:14 KJV]
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.

Lol ….he’s speaking to these people he said this about lol
“And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; And seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, And their ears are dull of hearing, And their eyes they have closed; Lest at any time they should see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And should understand with their heart, And should be converted, and I should heal them. ( they used to be his sheep but kept rejecting his word and so he made them deaf long before this and disowned them )

But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. ( he’s talking to his disciples ) For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:14-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s why he said they weren’t his sheep ….. but listen all o ever was asking you is of i give you a huge gift for free , but I tell you you have to go do a few things at the bank to get it …..is it not a gift like you said ?

That question seemed to throw you into some sort of fit bit I can’t see where you ever just answered that simple question it was based upon what you said in your post just a question lol

God doesn’t arbitrarily choose people to save he sent the gospel out to all of his creatures and said everyone who believes this gospel I’m sending out will be saved

What in the world could possibly be wrong with that? it’s what Jesus said before he went to heaven to intercede for our sins ?

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭

what Christian is then going to say “we don’t need to believe the gospel and get baptized to be saved pshh that’s such fallacy !!”

if I have to do anything for God it’s not a gift ….common friend you don’t think Jesus Christ is the one to trust on how to be saved ? How to inherit his kingdom ? How to not perish ? How to be the children of God ? The son of God he isn’t the right one to believe and learn from and accept as the lord and his word ?

God wants our whole heart and mind and pul and all our strength dedicated to him that is where the gospel leads someone who actually wants to obey him because they believe it’s the truth and will save them like he said

a I think it’s a pretty sound idea to believe Jesus even when he tells us things we need to do to be saved but , I realize everyone has thier own idea about it too you know ?

I personally feel sorry for those who feel like they don’t have a choice to repent and believe the gospel learn from Jesus and follow him to eternity , it’s pretty much what the Pharisees did rejected his teachings and accused him of heresy

truth is Jesus teaches us a lot of things we’re supposed to do and what not to do also , that’s where faith comes from

Just because something is spoken to a particular audience, it does not mean application of the verses isn't pertinent to all. Occasionally this is the case, but not in the main.

Yes, it sure is crazy isn't it?

A denomination will have something to do with it but I believe it goes beyond that.

Agreed, 100% Mainly we have to let God speak for Himself.
Indeed it is. But yet, in your next line, you say it is received through repentance and faith. So which is it, free? Or is there something we must do to receive it?

Respectfully, here you go again. You say it's completely paid for by Jesus and indeed it is. But if that be the case, why do we now have to have faith "and repent" before we receive it? What am I repenting for, what Jesus already paid for? Would it make more sense that we receive the gift of repentance also?
It would seem so since Jesus is also our sanctification.

But you said repentance also.

You see, this could be confusing.

Would you mind explaining a little more into this? Thanks
Sure, I might not be explaining it clearly in my wording. While our salvation was freely paid for by Jesus Christ, the effects of salvation are not automatic. There must be a real world response of faith by the penitent in order for us to be justified. If we had to do nothing, then the entire world would go to heaven, because every one would automatically be justified by Christ’s death. I’m not a universalist, this is why I believe that the merits of Christ’s death are only accounted to us when we repent. And yes, you are sort of right, repentance and faith are gifts from God, however the Lord doesn’t grant them to the entire world! Thanks.

I'm not going to go through and refute each of your points but suffice it to say there are two, and only two, categories of people spiritually speaking - one or the other of which - each of us must fall into, irrespective of lineage or bloodline (or anything else): 1) those who are His sheep, and 2) those who are not His sheep.

You presented the Gospel of John which is Jesus talking to the JEWS so that condition fits the application of your verses. And that condition says it's still in effect TO THIS VERY DAY!!
