Yes they are related because if you are not under God's grace and are not receiving remission for your sins, then you are not going to see eternal life. Being under those two is a continuous action by keeping oneself in the faith of Jesus Christ !!!
Just go look up sanctification and then salvation. It's not really that complicated. Jesus saved us -- a one time act. The rest is how God works in us and how we become willing to be changed and actually put in the effort.

Really. Not. That. Complicated.

Try telling that to the Apostles Paul and John who both showed that salvation is something we hope and seek to receive by keeping the faith in Jesus Christ. Not something we physically have right not, it is instead a mental assurance of receiving by staying in Christ.

The eternal life abiding in us is Christ Himself by His Holy Spirit, and if you do not continue in but depart from that faith the bible clearly shows eternal life is no longer abiding in you and is not your final outcome. For their last state has become worse for them than the first (2 Peter 2:20-22).

The bible is full of warnings in the NT about leaving/departing/falling away from the true gospel of Christ to a false doctrine gospel !!!

The consequence to man for rejecting Salvation is destruction and eternal torment. The consequence to God when man rejects salvation is momentary sorrow. Therefore, IMO, man gets the greater benefit.
Not to downplay the tremendous gift of salvation to a man. But I would have to say that God is more concerned for His Glory. If He wasn't, all men would be saved.

While we receive a great and wonderful gift in salvation, Gods first concern is His Glory. And the Cross reveals His Glory. The salvation of a man reveals the Cross, which is his Glory.

If Gods first concern and priority was the destruction and eternal consequences for a man, He would save all men. But His Glory in the cross is priority to Him, and man reveals His Glory(the cross) in that mans salvation. Thus, IMO, the advantage is to God and not the man..............But man greatly benefits(we don't have words to describe it) from revealing His Glory.

It is when your whole theology is based upon being sinless and doing good works to maintain and or get salvation......!

Once again you must be referring to Jason, because I do not instruct on sinless perfection nor do I say works maintain or gets one salvation.

What I instruct on is what the bible speaks on, and that is a true active faith in Jesus is what leads to salvation.
Then I also instruct the other side that if one does not continue in that faith in the Lord as the Apostles in the bible do, that the ending result for those that depart is not eternal life !!!

Current mental possession of assurance of receiving it !!!

Apostle Paul would not have constantly said more than once we by faith hope for and seek for eternal life.
There would be no need for Paul to state it that way if it is a current physical possession, because there is no need to hope to receive or seek for something you already have !!!

Amen! John 5:24 - Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life - CURRENT POSSESSION.
