i don't think charismatic miracle scams are satanic signs and wonders...

i think for the most part it is a combination of bad acting and snake oil manipulation...
most of it is acting but many of the congregations, due to hyper-emotional manipulation, have the "experience" of what they believe to be a miracle. for instance when one of the preachers waves his shirt across the crowd and a group in unison falls down. and many have shared about the dissociation or blacking out effect after being "healed" by the preacher touching their forehead or "slayed in the spirit" often mixed with loss of control of themselves, something else taking control, feelings of extreme emotions, etc. point is, it's paving the way for worse and worse things and has deviated from scripture entirely.

Thank you, I don't judge you but appreciate the example you used of yourself. And yes although some of my questions are in the air I will refer to study the bible. I guess I wanted an outline of a sort (for lack of a better term) so that I could verify my interpretation, if that makes sense? But how can it be verified with so many different interpretations, right?

lol If while in my pursuit for the Truth shall a question arise I may still post it here to get understanding haha :) :p

Lepidus, you ask ...how can the Truth be verified with so many different interpretations.... Well the Truth will NEVER be verified by interpretations. God verifies the Truth to EACH of the children of God by REVELATION. God REVEALS scripture to all who hunger and thirst for the Truth. It is the SOLE responsibility and duty of Christ Jesus (the Holy Spirit) to REVEAL Truth to the followers of Christ.

How does He do it? By feeding the thirdty and the hungry for righteousness.... Let me give you a few scriptures that should OPEN up your way of thinking.... Remember I only copy and paste from the Word of God. I do not teach this, or invent things. It is God's Word I use to show you what HE SAID. And if God sees the question in your heart, HE WILL answer it with HIS TRUTH.

Now read these few statements of Jesus....John 17 is a prayer Jesus prayed to the Father for us to understnad what God will do to the ones He saves... So the first scripture is for you to see the two groups of people on earth.... There are the ones that will be saved, and the ones that will not be saved. And that is the ONLY two groups of people... Read this knowing Jesus prayed for the disciples Jesus had with him when he was on earth and also for these...

John 17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; (this is you and I who believe the Bible)And note Jesus says in verse 9 he does NOT pray for the world.... I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
Do you see that there is the one group called the world, and there is the other group called (they are thine) Only two groups of people on earth. God's and Satan's.

And now let us see how the one group is SEPERATED from the other.... I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. Joh 17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Joh 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Very easy to see... Although there are two groups of people here one group GOD keep from evil. And look these ones are NOT OF THE WORLD. Then Jesus ask... Father SANCTIFY (seperate and seal) them through thy Truth: Thy WORD is Truth.

Do you see that God seperates and seals HIS PEOPLE through the WORD OF GOD (THE TRUTH) And to confirm this Jesus said...And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:32) Now I know that the Truth is God's way of seperating the two groups. The one group will be made free from ALL evil by the Word of God, and the other group will remain in evil.

How do the one group get the Truth? Mat 11:27...All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

Do you see that the Son of God is the ONLY one that can reveal the Father to us? THE ONLY ONE! And now all we have to get is to see that the Father (God) is actually the WORD. Well let God show (reveal) to us.... John 1... In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Let us just go to this... And here is my prayer for you, and I.... Father may we both know Thy Truth, then we will be free, Amen!

Yes I am familiar with this scripture but the question still remains I mean because it also says in the bible how he will tell some depart from me I never knew you, and how they will say did we not cast out demons in your name..

So to me these people claiming to cast demons out also professed Jesus is the Savior how can one know ?
Acts 19: 13Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” 14Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. 15One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?” 16Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.

These were people trying to cast out demons in Jesus Name who hadn't professed him. They were trying to 'use the power' without being plugged into the power source.

The overall thing is, where does the glory go? Any and all acts of the Holy Spirit will glorify the Christ. Anyone who tries to bring glory to himself, or anywhere else, by these things is false.

Thank you I like the scripture referenced

can you show us a real one? one that confirms his word? i thought his word was confirmed and the canon closed.
you are asking for a real miracle to prove a point? If so, do not tempt the Lord your God.

The Gifts of the Spirit are a different thing to healing miracles and tongues.
For instance, the gift od miracles, 1 Cor 12: 10, Is "THE WORKING OF MIRACLES".
Healing is, "THE GIFTS OF HEALING". v9
Tongues, "ARE FOR INTERPERTING", v10.
And these gifts are given to some and not others.

But Jesus said EVERY BELIEVER shall do the signs, Mk 16: 17--18.
Everyone can speak in tongues, v17.
Everyone can heal the sick, v18.

If there was someone who had "Say", the gifts of healings, We should let them Minister to the sick.
But if there is no one around with the gifts of healings??. Then thank God any believer can lay hands on the sick, And they shall recover.
mark doesn't specify everyone will have every gift, but 1Corinthians does cover that for you.

[SUP]8 [/SUP]For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
[SUP]9 [/SUP]To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
[SUP]10 [/SUP]To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
[SUP]11 [/SUP]But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

So I was raised believing that people can perform miracles ( of course not by any human power) but through the Holy Spirit; such as healing, tongues etc. I've never considered that this belief might be the one described in the bible as the times when Satan will deceive people w/ signs and wonders because i've always understood that would happen after the rapture, but now apparently I may be wrong regarding that too. I've been contemplating this lately and if this is true I would hate to reject it as the truth because of the consequence described in the bible. I don't know if I even have a question, or if any of what I wrote makes sense. I don't even know where to begin to study haha.. I've only even considered this alternate possibility because apparently there hasn't been any claims of miracles for a long time, and that this movement only began I believe about 100 years ago. I don't know what my question is but any reply might help. Thank you, and I don't know if there is a post on this already so I apologize in advance. :)

2 Thes 2:9
The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie,

Mark 13:22
For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

2 Thes 2:7-12
7. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way.
8. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming.9. The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders,
10. and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, 12. in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Here's one great wonder, and that is GMO food products that's suppose to help starving countries; but is it good? Monsanto Bio-tech corporation said that they are trying to stomp out world hunger (And which that sound good). But their products is found to be unhealthy, and which they are trying their best to keep it hidden by putting their former employees in all areas of government to protect their investment. That is one of the great deceptions that is right under our noses.

I appreciate your sarcasm, and hope you are not deceived. God bless
