Has anyone one ever read the 5 love languages by Gary Chapman? whatever you think of the author doesn't matter, the concept of the book though is great

I also have the one - God speaks your love language - I like to express love by quality time - so I spend a lot of time with the Lord, I also receive love by words of Affirmation - so I love the Scriptures

I have heard this - That if you sing into a piano, say a G note, the G - string will vibrate - pretty cool

Satan also works like this - he doesn't have to put the wickedness in your heart, it's already there. All he has to do is speak that same note and your heart will go towards it. Speaks to lust, the lust in your heart responds

So I had this thought that Satan will use your love language, against you to kill, destroy, and so on

I can think of 2 separate occasions -probably most able to recognize - where I received verbal blows at me, in my own voice mind you - "They don't' like you, Why are you here, nobody cares about you" - all these in my voice attacking me.

Could it be that because my love language is words of affirmation, that the attacks of satan, the most powerful are the ones that verbally attack me, directly or indirectly?



We think of mental illness' - I wonder how many that may suffer from schizophrenia, there love language really is words of affirmation and Satan uses it against them


Just some thoughts - if you receive a different love language and you can relate to this - please share

Yes..I have read that demons ( especially Christians ) will study you and find your weakness..:/ and yes they will put all kinds of negative thoughts in your head.. One time I was praying and fasting..I did ok the first 5 hours.. Then all of sudden all these thoughts were invading my mind.."god doesn't love you, your not his child, your starving your self for no reason .." I would get on my knees and pray and nasty thoughts and vision would come to me making it almost impossible to pray! Later that night I ate something..:/ they will do anything to defeat you ..and they know the power of fasting!

I have had experiences like yours as well.

My language is physical touch.

I remember a couple years ago I woke up in the morning but I was still tired so I went back to sleep. I was only asleep for about 20 minutes when I started dreaming about a naked lady that was wanting to be with me. I woke up and started laughing. I wasn't even awake yet but I was being attacked already. I remember thinking "can't you wait until I at least wake up?".

I had never responded by laughing before. I usually try to fight back somehow by trying real hard to focus my thoughts on something else. When I started laughing I sensed confusion in the enemy. I don't know how I sensed this, I just did.


The enemy definitely knows our weaknesses and watches our responses to his fiery darts.

This post shows a total lack of understanding of mental illness. Schizophrenia is genetic in origin. While it is sometimes triggered by a poor environment, it generally manifests at a certain age, for instance, men usually get symptoms in their 20's. I saw a show about a young girls who got it at the age of 4 or 5, from a totally loving Christian home, and it was ascertained to be totally a result of weird genes. I know several people with this disease, and in no way is it related to a lifetime of Satan attacking their love language.

I think that book by Chapman has some superficial value, in understanding that people respond differently to love, and also give differently to relationships.

But it is NOT about mental illness! Repeat, NOT about mental illness!

Why are Christians so ignorant of the etiology of serious mental health issues? No wonder the stigma continues on and on against people who have these illnesses.

yes clearly they are as scripture says in the last day we would recieve dreams and visions both of which god used in the old testament.as for me my launguage of love to god comes directly from the heart. when i tell him how deeply i care for him i feel the feeling of that love pouring from my heart to his and sometime he speaks back the same way.

acts 2:17 in the last days god says i will pour out my spirit on all people. yoursons and daughters will prophesy your young men will see visions your old men will dream dreams

In the same way - we cannot reduce mental illness to simply biological either - or think the secular environment can do anything more than put a band aid on a wound

there is - physical, mental, moral, spiritual, and the like that all make up a person's soul, as Proverbs speaks of

There is also an enemy of the soul, satan and the demonic host - I also did not refer to this as the whole of mental illness either - but trying to see if there is a correlation between the way people feel loved, and the way satan would attack a human being - who is Loved by God

Im still confused , why is that scripture used in relation to the original post ?

He never mentioned that verse . It dose kinda reminds of of 2 Timothy 2:16.

Some mental illness is completely the persons fault

- my depression was caused by unconfessed sin on my part, and unforgiveness for real and perceived faults/slights of others

If I took a glass and filled it with water from lake Erie and said drink this, you may say no there is dirt in there - who put the dirt there?

So the dreams and visions which from the Bible were assumedly to be granted by God are being given to you from satan instead? How about instead of trying to blame it on demons just admit you had a weird dream? happens all the time to most people.

Satan copies what God does and this is why you need to test the Spirits. In Job Satan is talking in a vision of the night.
Job 4:13-17

actually i was telling how god and i speak to each other and the devil may try to use that since that is how god and i become stronger. dreams and visions come from god but satan will also do this to cause confusion and fear.

i like this one:D i also had a simeler experience i dont remember much except satan was attacking me i was half awake so i dont know if it was a dream or not but instead being afraid for some reason i found his petty attack amusing and laughed. there were also time whenfather would tickle me i couldnt see his hands but he tickles me in the abb section
