From: John 8 verse 34; 2 Peter 2 verse 19a; Galatians 4 verse 8; Romans 7 verse 14; Ephesians 2 verse 3b; Romans 6 verse 6 ~ “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin.” They are slaves of corruption. When you did not know God, you were enslaved to those that by nature are not gods. You were of the flesh, sold under sin. We were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. Our old self was crucified so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.

Romans 11:32
God consigned all people to disobedience so that he could show mercy.

Only to those he calls to his Salvation.
Doesn't seem so merciful in the text if God only calls a little bit of people compared to all people. But the Bible, especially the Torah, shows us most people knew about the God of the Hebrew people but rejected Him to worship their gods made from their own hands.

Even Roman's 1 shows us God has manifested Himself to everyone and the majority rejected God to the point God gave them over to a reprobate mind.

Faith is not the sole agency of redemption.

Faith regardless of the object, degree or sincerity is not the means that is presented in the Bible as the time and moment of the remission of our sins.

I am sure that many here as well as myself believe that Jehovah Witnesses are not redeemed. Yet they have and still today exhibit great faith in their Jesus. They believe and confess publicly that Jesus is Lord. If you doubt their sincerity or the degree of their faith watch the many documentaries on how they would not deny Jesus as Lord, even after their children were taken from them. Simply Google "purple triangle'. Many died in Nazi camps, who could have lived if they would have simply denied the teachings of the Watch Tower Society.

Salvation comes from obeying the gospel of Christ. We may debate what must be obeyed but not the need to obey. Sadly some here are quick to label obedience as works of merit. Applying the blood is a work but not one of merit.

Many in the faith alone regeneration theology groups will label verses such as John 3:16-17 as all-encompassing in nature ignoring that the verses are simply general in nature and does not even define the word "believe".

Please do not reply about how bad the Jehovah Witnesses or the Watch Tower Society happens to be, that is not the point.

Bingo?

Are you not the one who claims that God decides who gets the good soil and who does not get the good soil?

That's a real question, if you are willing to answer.
Read the parable. The ground is the world. The seed is the gospel.
Which area of soil throughout the world prepares itself? What is the parable teaching?

Yes, people believe very sincerely but in the wrong message/Gospel or no Gospel at all, Jesus is Lord is not sufficient information about what Jesus accomplished and who He actually was ....... therefore I still maintain correctly placed faith/belief is the condition for redemption, and it is one act of faith.

We may debate what must be obeyed
What must be obeyed is exactly the point.

It's the mystery of God's sovereign election. :)
He really did not have to save anyone.... but somehow He felt some mercy towards some.
He is the Potter remember.

Notice that the seed is the same for all soils. The different results can only come from the difference in the soil.

If they claim to have faith and do not (do not have eternal life) why does James not teach them why they really do not have spiritual salvation.
if we are saved by grace through faith. And they do not have faith.
you do not have to tell them
they also claim to have faith so that tells us the knew the truth

What is more consistent and logical is to see that James regards them as having received eternal life and but have not put that gift to use, and he is telling them that there are benefits for the soul to put one's faith to use.
Illogical. Unless you think one can believe and live as they want and be saved

This is a great question because both ways to answer is correct.

If they have no works they are displaying where their faith is at but if they do have works it's really showing where their faith is at.

And from whether you follow Yeshua or Satan your works ultimately prove where your true faith is at.
Yes if you trust (have faith) in someone you would at least do some of what they want or suggest
if you never do anything they ask you just prove you do not really trust them no matter how Much you claim you do
