Jesus and His disciples came baptizing.

Jesus never water baptized anyone His entire ministry....So, if water is essential for forgiveness or regarding going to heaven, i guess he kinda forgot on the way to being the "no man comes to the Father but by Me". John 14:6

Also,

Paul, the apostle who wrote most of the New Testament, and is responsible for delivering the "Gospel of the Grace of God" to the world, originally, said......."Christ sent me not to water baptize".

Old and New Testament requirements were different.

Yes, under the Old Testament the Law demanded rightesouness from you.

Under the New Covenant God supplies Righteousness to you as "the gift of Righteousness".

The Greek word translated name here also means authority or cause.
Immersed in the cause of the Lord Jesus.
Immersed in the authority of the Lord Jesus.
The following is the scriptural answer to the question I actually posed to you: The baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus is water baptism. This is consistent in scripture: (Acts 2:38-41, 8:12-18, 10:44-48, 19:1-6, 22:16) Each of the cases listed reveal that 1. Water baptism is done in the name of the Lord Jesus. 2. The Holy Ghost is given either before or after water baptism has been administered.

God's word is the ultimate authority not anyone's personal belief. So your argument is with God, not me.

many will get baptised and not be saved, and many will be saved that have not been baptised.
It is the heart and character that counts. We should do all we can to be baptised as we were told but God will judge all cases individually.
Like i said we should follow Gods requests but a lack of baptism will not prevent those that were unable or unaware, Jesus has fulfilled all requirements for us and we do it to show who we are following, because baptism is symbolic of a change in heart. Symbolic of being born again.
Consider many say water baptism is to be done as a public display. But what does the bible say? It says everyone must do it in the name of the Lord Jesus for the remission of sin.

I accept what the bible says. Why? Because it is what all with be judged by according to Jesus. (John 12:48) And it says there is a way which seems right unto a man but the end thereof are the ways of death. (Prov. 14:12)

Actually since Christ Jesus was a Jew then on the eighth day he was circumcised. As far as your wanting to add your work to the already finished work of Christ Jesus well that question has been answered many times in this forum. If you do not wish to accept the truth of scripture then I am not sure what more help we can give you here.
The "answers" many have presented are nothing more than personal opinions that contradict the truth as seen in the entirety of the NT message. All will be judged by what the word actually states.

God always requires obedience to His commands. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Jesus never water baptized anyone.

The dying thief on the cross, is in heaven, and he was never water baptized.

You should re consider that conclusion. I don't think Christ was circumcised...but, He was baptized.....?
Start with Acts 2; 38 and search for many more in scriptures.
Baptism is required....to complete the process of repentance.
indeed as we search the scripture we begin to grow ears to hear marvelous things that actually impart the knowledge of these things

“God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:2-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The understanding of Christs death and resurrection not just saying he died and rose but understanding how it applies to us is what’s going to press us to get baptized when we start believing what’s there about baptism the new birth also involves baptism into Christ because he is Abraham’s seed , baptism includes us into Abraham’s children being born again after we have been buried with him .

It’s what includes us into Christs inheritance of eternal
Life

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:26-27, 29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we’re saved by faith , faith is when we hear what God said for us to do , and also hear and believe the blessing that will result

All will be judged by what the word actually states.
The New Testament says that you will be judged according to your own words.

Matthew 12 37.

So, Wansvic.......try reading a bible, and get away from online heretic sites, and lying denominations, and commentaries written by heretics.

Water baptism, as found in the entire New Testament, always occurs after the person believes and is born again.
Following this CONVERSION, and "New birth"........we are to be water baptized.

For example, if you look at Acts 8,..... you will read the story of Phillip and the Eunuch.
The Eunuch, wanted to be water baptized, and Phillip said........>"if you have believed with all your heart... you may be water baptized".

Notice that the BELIEVING is the Salvation, and the water baptism.....follows Faith in Christ.

We are never water baptized to be saved, we are always water baptized AfTER we are born again.

True. So study the word of God and see how it says to do that.

Obedience after believing is what brought about the remission of sin. (Acts 2:38, 22:16) No one is born again without their sins being remitted.

I don't think Christ was circumcised...
Luke 2:21 And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

And what is that word. that Jesus has spoken that will find you judged if you dont do it?
Its this..

Jesus said....."you must be born again"......... So, if you dont keep that word, and you are only water baptized, then you will be judged and you will end up in hell, waiting for Revelation 20:11

Also...

Matthew 12 says this :

"""For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

“Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him.”

This verse reinforces the position I laid out in post #138, and takes away the possibility that the water in John 3:5 is water baptism. If the water in John 3:5 is water baptism then this verse cannot be true.

“By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him; for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him. And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us. Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.”

Belief is obedience.
