That's not true for everyone, there are people who read and believe the bible for exactly what it says.
Actually, it is true. What do you make of the story of Adam and Eve being sent from the Garden? (Just a simple statement of why it happened.)

I think she was referring to the overall message....the "spirit" behind words which seems to be one of doom and being accursed, destruction, evil, death, etc.

We need to be able to differentiate between the unrighteous who are not in Christ and the righteous which are in Christ.

There is also a vast difference between the old covenant and the new covenant and when we mix them up we get a lot of stuff being thrown at us that do not apply to the New Covenant believer in Christ.

Yes, there is destruction coming for those that don't know Christ but we don't bombard the sheep with words of destruction all the time when they are reserved for the goats.
well that may be true but we can't add things that aren't there.. clearly the poster said to counter the other post with more words of die.. that's not being as you say in Christ or righteous it speaks of being a little to morbid..

Much of the word is morbid.

Atonement is making things right, which isn't a pretty picture a lot of the time. There's destruction involved.

There is so much false doctrine in the world today, so many lies, even in the church. It's confusing, and it also explains why God is giving warnings to the churches in the book of revelation.

looks like your quite angry, I counted 3 die in InSpiritInTruth post and 20 die in your post

Actually, the "die" message was what I came away with after reading the OPs posts. The message I came away with was not life but death. You must have missed the last part when I typed myself happy again. The Bible verse in song about beholding what manner of love the Father has given unto us.. it became my last thought after reminding myself of the Gospel of grace and truth that Jesus brought.

For me it is frustrating at times to come to CC after being out at work in the world where there is no hope for the unsaved man. Feeling maybe a bit sad I didn't say more to someone about Jesus and wishing I had shared some good news and taken more opportunity.

Then seeing posts from other Christians who have every opportunity to talk about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and instead talk about judgment without Him. There is enough death and hopelessness in the world and we as believers are supposed to be spreading the message of reconciliation not the message of death.

Doesn't that seem a bit odd to you too BeyondET??

I see what you are saying, I think the gist was that Jesus speaks to us about life to those that are His. It's the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus that we live by...not the "spirit" of being accursed , destruction and death..etc...It's a matter of what one focuses on as Willie was saying.

So was Paul talking about a single man in 2 Thess. or a single evil spirit and also other seducing spirits working in a whole wicked generation like Jesus said? Well if you read the whole chapter in 2 Thessalonians 2:8-12 you will see this truth shown…“And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:[SUP]12 [/SUP]That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

Clearly Paul was talking about more than one single individual man in the above verses using words like them , they, and they all.

But what about the term “son of perdition?” It speaks of the same thing, as was first shown in Judas (one who broke bread at the Lords table) who also sold out the Truth for a pocket full of silver, just as the
firstborn Esau sold his birth right for some red pottage.(sin) Look at what Peter had to say about the “son of perdition.”

Peter goes on to quote scripture concerning Judas, (son of perdition) in the Psalms
Acts 1:20 “For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.” Now, in order to confirm my point about there being more than one “son of perdition” or son who goes into destruction, let’s look at the Psalms from where Peter was drawing this from.

In Psalm 69 we see this same language used in verse
Psalm 69:25 “Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents.” Notice the Psalm says “their” as in more than one. As a matter of fact, if you read the whole Psalm the Lord is speaking of many, like in verse 4 the Lord says “they that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head”. The Lord repeatedly uses the words “they their, and them”, in the Psalm just as Paul also used the same language in 2 Thess 2:10-12 describing the man of sin, (lawlessness) and son of perdition.

Now let’s confirm the same message in another Psalm which speaks of what Peter quoted also in
Psalm 109:8 “Let his days be few; and let another take his office.” Now that sounds more like what Peter was quoting from when he said in Acts 1:20 “Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take” Which this does speak specifically about the single man Judas. (Which has already been fulfilled as Jesus noted in John 17:12.)

But let’s now look at that Psalm in the greater context of what is being said.

Psalm 109:1-13
Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;
[SUP]2 [/SUP]For the mouth of the
wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.[SUP]3 [/SUP]They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.[SUP]4 [/SUP]For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.[SUP]5 [/SUP]And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.[SUP]6 [/SUP]Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.[SUP]7 [/SUP]When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.[SUP]8 [/SUP]Let his days be few; and let another take his office.[SUP]9 [/SUP]Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.[SUP]10 [/SUP]Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.[SUP]11 [/SUP]Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.[SUP]12 [/SUP]Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.[SUP]13 [/SUP]Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.”

So though him was referring to the single man Judas in this Psalm, as both Jesus and Peter confirmed, I believe it is very clear that Paul was not talking about a single man yet to come, but rather a whole
wicked generation who would fall away from following after the Truth in Christ, and also go into destruction.

Consider this post and what is the message you come away with?
destruction
fall away
wicked
Judas
name blotted out
desolate,
fatherless
vagabond
satan
wicked
hatred
evil
adversaries
hatred
lying
wicked
decietful
desolate
sin
unrighteousness
strong delusion
lie
lying
decietfulness
satan
wicked
evil spirits
seducing spirits.

I was a bit more careful not to add more of what I got out of it this time.

Still doesn't sound like the message of reconciliation to me. Does it to you?

He sent them out because he didn't want them to have eternal life in a fallen state.

Yes indeed I agree with you 100% but non the less those are scripture verses should the bible be revised to not include those verses. it just struck me as venting why even go there and show frustration over bible verses and adding 17 more words about death that's want I walked away with from your post. I'm sorry I'm not trying to mean or anything but let's be real here we have to better than that of the world and not always fighting fire with fire.

Seriously., I was not trying to use a "tactic" or trying to fight fire with fire. It's obvious I thought my re-use of the word die was over the top one right after the other. I was trying to make the point that my eyes saw die a lot. Not just in that post but the others I read from the OP. No tactic no hidden message. It was majorly obvious I thought. I had no idea or fear anyone would count word for word as it was obvious (I thought)

I don't think you are trying to be mean. The reason I went there was because it was already "there"
I don't give people the message of the old covenant when I'm a new covenant believer. That doesn't mean that the Old testament is not important or that the Bible should not be taught in it's entirety.

(There is a context to the message of reconciliation and the Gospel). Mixing covenants is not proper but totally confusing. Talking about judgment when Jesus already took our judgment is not proper and is confusing. So, in my reposting and commenting on the OPs posts, I see confusion and death when we have as believers have every reason to post about life and Jesus.

Those who thought my motives to be tactical will just have to believe me when I say I was not trying to use a tactic or fight fire with fire or be dishonest with the handling of a post. Not sure what else I can say about the matter.

One thing we do know is that Old Covenant prophets were always pointing out sin to the Jews because their covenant of law demanded punishment and destruction.

We live in the New Covenant with better promises and Jesus' blood speaks of better things.

So, there are plenty of scriptures that attest to the destruction of those that are not in Christ complete with adequate warnings too but that is not the message of the New Covenant - it is one of reconciliation.

This is the message we are to be giving out.

2 Corinthians 5:18-21 (NASB)
[SUP]18 [/SUP] Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation,

[SUP]19 [/SUP] namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

[SUP]20 [/SUP] Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

[SUP]21 [/SUP] He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
1Ti 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

This occurs in the latter times, which is the last days,of the last days, and is the new age movement, which is when all the craziness will begin, that leads to the beast kingdom.
We are in the last days, and this false doctrine of forbidding to marry and abstaining from meats has already happened in the RCC, which forbids it's priests to marry and has by it's own traditions, it's own holidays and meatless days, where it's followers are told to abstain from certain meats.

This is what Jesus called teaching for commandments the doctrines of men. Jesus rebuked the priesthood of Israel for adding to and also taking away from God's words and commandments.

Matthew 15:4-9 "For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.[SUP]5 [/SUP]But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;[SUP]6 [/SUP]And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
[SUP]8 [/SUP]This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."

So what the man made church system has done, and is even now doing is teaching it's own beliefs and traditions over that of what God had commanded in His words, given to His Son.

This is in the CONTEXT of what this thread is warning of, which is the doctrines of men(doctrines of devils) are adding to and taking away from God's words and commandments to suit their own agenda, and to also seduce and please the carnal masses who want to hear a doctrine of fluff that makes them feel better about their ongoing sinful condition.

This thread was meant as a warning, it was not meant to be a message of fluff, or a message of gumdrops and lollipops for those who continue to rebel against God and against His Holy One. If you want someone to speak comfortably to you as you go down into the pit, then go to teachers like Joseph Prince who will tell you just what you want to hear, but perhaps not according to the Truth.

God has always sent messengers to warn his people from the error of their wicked ways, but as we see many times in scripture these messengers were never well received by the disobedient and rebellious house of Israel. So why should we think the Gentiles would be any different? The warnings I've posted are a part of what God said would happen in the last days by way of Jesus and his holy apostles. But if you want to reject and refuse to hear all the warnings in scripture, then your blood will be on your own hands because I have not ceased to warn the wicked of ongoing sinful behavior.

Ezekiel 3:17
Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

Ezekiel 2:7
And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.

Ezekiel 3:18
When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Did you think the title of the Thread " Re: Seducing spirits and doctrines of devils" suggested that message? LOL :)

That's right, darkness has become a light for them, and even Jesus said only the elect would not be deceived by all the false Christs and false prophets that would come.

Matthew 24:24
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Acts 20:26-31 "Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.[SUP]27 [/SUP]For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
[SUP]28 [/SUP]Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
[SUP]30 [/SUP]Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
[SUP]31 [/SUP]Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears."

You could add just a few "gumdrops" into the end of a post along those warnings
(an intermission of sorts)

You might even find this valuable to any presentation which speaks of deceiving spirits

Your post reminds me of an appropriate song.

The Candy Man
Alright everybody gather 'round.
The Candy Man is here.
What kind of candy do you want?
Sweet chocolate,
Chocolate malted candy,
Gum drops?
Anything you want.
You've come to the right man
'Cause I'm the Candy Man.

Who can take a sunrise,
Sprinkle it with dew
Cover it with chocolate and a miracle or two?
The Candy Man,
Oh, the Candy Man can.
The Candy Man can
'Cause he mixes it with love
And makes the world taste good

Who can take a rainbow
Wrap it in a sigh
Soak it in the sun and make a groovy lemon pie?
The Candy Man,
The Candy Man can.
The Candy Man can
'Cause he mixes it with love
And makes the world taste good.
