mcubed, do you believe that the Old Covenant was renewed and the Messiah came to Teach the correct way to follow the law of Moses?
I love it! I love it! Yes! TELL THEM MCUBED! The answer was NO!

You see, the 'hebrew roots' are not so hebrew after all. Most Messianic Jews agree with us, Jesus came to fulfill the law not to renew the law of Moses.

we both crave the New Kingdom, it is the most 'orderly' of orderlies imaginable', we both
greatly desire to be a part of it, and we know that we will be...

yet they are "still" God's chosen people,so why wouldn't I include them in serving God!?

Which kind of a Jew as chosen? And chosen for what? to be used as types and shadows until the time of reformation.

Chosen as in the first birth which has to do with flesh as in all men called the outward Jew which is no different than a gentile , the generation of Adam or the second the birth of a new spirit that will never die in respect to the generation of Christ the inward .

Romans 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

When a Jewish person looks at: Isa 53, Ps 22, and Zec chapters 12-14; the NT becomes a very plausible fulfillment of OT prophesy.

When a Jewish person looks around him and the only evidence he sees of Christianity is Crucades, Inquisitions, progroms, and Death camps; he has good grounds for skepticism.

Not for the TRUE Christian....Of course the true Christian can also be a Jewish Person that believes in Jesus Christ.

Being Jewish you should know that that many of the OT prophecies have yet to be fulfilled. As for the NT, Jesus tells us that He did not come to destroy the Law but to fulfill prophecies (Mat 5:17). Keep in mind that Revelation may only have 403 verses but it takes you to every book in the Bible (except maybe one) by way of 800+ references. Also the Book of Revelation has about 1100 prophecies that also have to be fulfilled between now and the END..mainly because they were not fulfilled at any earlier time in History.

Being Jewish, you should also know that Judism is NOT the way!

To live by Faith is to be a doer of the Royal Law and that is GOD's Law in our Hearts because He loved us First and could demonstrate this no other way than to offer His perfect sinless Son as sacrifice for we sinners so that we could Believe and be Saved. Set free by the GOD's Grace to love and obey.

saints are those that Keep the Commandments of GOD and Have the Testimony of the Messiah.. because the saints hear and do which is what to live by Faith is. Believing unto the saving of our soul.

thats just the thing, the new covenant. because of a lack of the spirit...even "what is the new covenant" is a huge argument with many different versions. the first is what Moses Said for God to the people. the new is what Jesus said to the People. it was suprising when i first came Here and heard some of the things especially the g.o.g. comes up with to remove the Word of God from the covenant, which is impossible to do. it is a neverending effort to make what man wants it to be rather than to accept what God said it is. sad for those who dont Know better

i think we have over time equated our view of things, like to humans Love" is something we write songs about, a feeling we have for someone, kind words that often have no real meaning when Love is needed in a situation. i like your post here it reminds me of some very clear scripture in 1 John 3 about Love, and then in ch 5 Loving in truth and deed rather than just word.

the thing is with Love it has to be sincere. you cant be carrying on an adulterous affair...and still claim rightfully that you love your spouse." the action conflicts with the claim, it makes the adulterer, a liar. you cant Love someone, and Kill them, or do violence to them, steal from them, lie about them , bear false witness against them.....those commandments cant be seperated from what Love really is, it has to be expressed in actions or its empty. if we are really Loving each other, we will be upholding the covenant Law. if we are saying i love, and then at the same time, breaking Gods Law, such as stealing from someone, cheating them, harming them, scamming them.......it just simply is not Love if it doesnt abide the Law of God.

its terrible to me to see so many who seem to hate even the mention of the Law, the mention of obedience, or the truth that Love cant be seperated from actions. God Gave His Law FOR the good of man, to protect mans property, Life, marriage, our very Lives. the Law is not against those who walk in Gods Love, it is for them, it is only against the thieves and murderers, the sexually immoral, the liars and adulterers, those who refuse to repent of those things. the law is against those but it is for the children of God. its a good thing and it fits perfectly into the new covenant

exactly sister, we humans always get things all discombobulated, the Law of God is good, it has always been good, will always be good, right, true, Holy. who of us can argue with its morality? who can say its not wrong to Kill? to Lie? steal? to have a different god other than Our Creator the One true and Only God? who among us can say its not wrong to marry and swear to be faithful until death before God, and thencarry on an adulterous affair? who can say its not wrong to rape? to swindle and scam? to not repay debts? who can argue against obeying God? when He has done everything we needed Him to do to make us able to simple accept the life He offers and walk in its framework.

surely we will make mistakes, we will fail at times, well do the wrong thing sometimes But God is Good full of renewed Mercy each day, He is for us, Loves us and keeps us. so much of our battle in this life is to accept the truth. if i live my life in opposition to a simple truth like " Im a christian, that means i need to repent and learn from Jesus and learn to walk in the ways of God...being given the Holy spirit, the blood of Jesus Christ, the Knowledge of Heaven....we have no excuses left.

its like the law of society they are there for the greater good, sure the thief hates the Law that says " you cant steal other peoples property" and they hate the part that says " If you do steal, you will serve a certain punishment" but the people who work hard and refuse to steal other peoples things, they are glad there is a law that says you cant steal.

its no different with Gods Law. the adulterer doesnt want to see " thou shall not commit adultery" and that its " worthy of a death sentance" but the faithful God fearing spouse, they are glad, thier Heart agrees with that Law its only right. the Liar doesnt want to see " thou shalt not lie" because it convicts thier Heart, and leads toward repentance. the Murderers dont want there to be a law that says " thou shall not Kill" or that its a death sentance if you do...... Biut those who do not go around harming others or killing...they are pleased and releived that Gods Law protects thier Life.

Gods Law is good, christians need to get away from false doctrines telling them its not for us. learning to Love Gods ways is the way :)

Jews who follow the Talmud are presented with a lot of conflicting ideas. The rabbis are the authorities and they have various ideas. But it would appear that they all believe in an afterlife. Soul Sleep is taught be many Christian cults.
