You specifically mentioned spirituality. Is that supposed to carry throughout the line of questions?
My main concern in this topic is spirituality.
Can Christian schools have a positive influence in kids' spiritual lives?
A Christian school may excel academically and on the other hand do a poor job in the spiritual sphere.
My first kid went to kindergarten in a Christian school whose main concern was to win awards. My son would occasionally disrupt the class because he had ADD and hyperactivity. The principal once told me: "
Your son is keeping the class from reaching its optimum level and, you know, our school has always won awards year after year and, ah, your son might get in the way, ah, ... bla bla bla".
To make a long story short my son was kicked out at the end of the school year and we enrolled him in a non religious school. To our surprise the new school proved to be much better regarding love and patience. Of course my story can be an exception and I don't want to make a rule out of it.
Some Christian friends of mine have objections against Christian schools - they think that our kids may be convinced by teachers and not converted by the power of God. That's why I'm looking for more opinions.
